I had to defer inquiries to our local Public Affairs/Public Information Office. As a private citizen, I still had most of my civil freedoms & rights. I could vote, petition the government on grievances, and express my opinions but, only as a private citizen. (ex - I could write my elected officials on a issue of public interest from Mr. ---------- but, could not circumvent my chain-of-command on military or personal issues) There used to be posters in the barracks with a comment by George Washington about this. "When we took up the soldier, we did not lay aside the citizen," or something to that effect. As far as the PD car, I think it looks pretty messed up but, as long as it doesn't identify any single cab company, they can get away with it. Hope that helps.

Wen they take a photo of you, that is not with the body cam, like a cell phone or hand recorder, tell them that you want a copy for yourself just like you would by making a records request. Personal recording should not be used while the officer is on duty. If the recording device cant be tracked or logged it should not be used. What if the officer was stopping females and taking photos for his personal use like a pervert.
