If they didn't pick off lamar in the endzone against baltimore and force a fumble as baltimore was crossing the plane for a TD, and strip lamar another time, the ravens would have won that game and by like 3 touchdowns. Mahomes barely put up any points against the ravens.
Winning games is about the entire team and Mahomes is very good but has been lucky to have good defenses and teams this whole time. If the Chiefs defense didn't stop the niners in crucial spots or swat the PAT attempt, the game would have been won by the niners. Let's not act like Mahomes carried his entire team when the defense was very good as well. They shut down CMC for most of the entire game.
