- Internet Computer (ICP) is one of the most promising blockchains in the crypto space. It has a bright future for many reasons. First, it is the first blockchain to support HTTP request, allowing developers to host their Dapps entirely on-chain. Second, the Internet Computer's network nervous system and service nervous system (NNS & SNS respectively) are nothing short of genius. Lastly, the DFINITY team has some truly remarkable talent. Good video. ICP is, imo, the 3rd great blockchain innovation. Btc was the first, Eth the 2nd and now ICP the 3rd pulling both bitcoin and ethereum together, with it, with their seemless (no bridges) integration. I stor my bitcoin in my ICP NNS wallet. It's incredible 👍🏻

Icp transaction fee is only fraction of penny when you transfer icp from wallet to wallet you dont need to pay gas for transactions using dapps it have reverse gas model

Regarding staking on ICP. To get maximum staking rewards, stake for 8 yrs locked and get about 15 ICP per month in rwds. So, staking 200 like that, you should get about 3 per month. In the long term will give you a nice income forever. Especially if you stake more than 200 👍🏻

Diifference between icp on chain governance is the proposer will propse code to make a update when its passed the code will execute automatically without relying on anyone to execute

Good video. What do you think about ICP’s implementation of ckBTC? Supposedly it has the potential to scale Bitcoin network better than Lightning. I’ve been watching a CZcamsr called Bobby0 who breaks down the ckBTC process in very high detail.
I just subscribed to him. I'm gonna check out what he has to say, I perused over the channel already, he seems interesting.

Polkadot cant make transactions directly on btc or eth chain icp can yoi need to learn about ckbtc you failed to mention this point well polkadot is not compareable icp is only tech doing it
Why do you think ICP is better than Polkadot? Polkadot is a layer 0 blockchain, it operates at the protocol level and can connect many different blockchains. How is ICP ahead of that?

Good morning! So I started the other video first and it was way above me so I came here and still way above me. People are gonna think I’m stupid or something but like I’m so far removed from anything electronic/internet/tech so I’m just lost on it all. I’m that person that still wishes to write checks and doesn’t watch the news or have social media outside of CZcams. I still read physical books and write everything down. I can barely use my cell phone. No I’m not 80. I’m 41.
Yeah I'm definitely thinking of re-doing some of the crypto videos, they're still not layman friendly. Blockchain is such an important movement though that it cannot be neglected. I've just been writing so much code lately that I'm falling behind on content. I also want to kick Secret People back up to parallel Street Talk. I'll pick content back up once the heavy code lifting is done I promise.

Staking apr is rn 17 percent with 53 percent of total supply staked half of which is staked for 8 years
Yeah I just locked mine for 8 years
Cardano actually has 36.5 circuit reading and 43b max supply
65% ADA are staked down from 72% due to Defi / also staked ADA is never locked you can move in & out
I'm still a fan of Cardano but I'm starting to like ICP more 😂

I don't think ICP is a threat to other blockchains. I see it as a natural development regarding big techs overpowered control. ICP will give back the balance needed, after long years of centralization. People will start to value their personal identity more in the future. I personally think ICP will be the open platform, for other chains to adapt to or perish. It's already too far ahead to call other chains competition.

@@cxc I haven't checked your video. But I was invested in The Graph two years ago, when I was still exploring what direction this space (Internet of things) will be heading to. But after I saw what ICP was doing many things started to click. Based on my view point and the development i've witnessed so far...until this system stops being implemented, I have little to zero doubts. That includes the changes in our future financial system.

I see it's no problem to have front-end OFF-CHAIN, we can have distributed hosting in multiple locations and multiple companies, am I miss something?
It's no problem to you as a consumer, but it's definitely more expensive for a developer or team of developers to maintain.
There is also a consideration of internet safety which with the ICP is almost absolute.
I don't get why you aren't comparing it to BSV when talking about tps, fees and blocksize.
What about websites with DDoS attacks? Is it safe from that?

What wallet holds ICP?
You can create an ICP wallet at their very website, just create a digital identity and log in their network nervous system (NNS). Your credentials automatically comes with a wallet. However, me personally, I hold my ICPs on my ledger Nano X.
