If you like her voice, check out the Radio 4 comedy series 'Clare in the Community'. Sally stars, and IMO it is one of the best comedy series out there.

Strange - the actual TV show with Alan Patridge I found pretty dull and unfunny but when they switched to Alan Partridge's life outside the TV show it became one of the funniest shows ever.
Definitely higher quality scripts. I think with "knowing me knowing you" they were still finding their feet somewhat. This series has the added plot of Alan being fully shown up for the fairly pathetic failure he is and it gives them more to work with.

I once went behind the scenes to see Lisa Goddard in The Kelly Monteith Show in 1982 over 37 years ago and I learned a valuable life lesson about Women. They were rehearsing as I knew someone at The BBC and I watched through a private screen. He cracked a joke and she laughed, htsterically at his wit and humour but the SPLIT SECOND they said " CUT!" her face instantly froze all thru' the rehearsal this happened..
