    I'm a Ghanaian and rtd DCOP.. I😅 congratulate COP Disu for that wonderful work done. I was.with him in Darfur region as part of Africa Union peace keeping mission. He was my boss at the training Unit in alFasher. He was.very dedicated to his duties and no wonder he had been able to accomplish that difficult task. Ogah Disu as he was affectionately called then , I say I'm proud of you.

    This shows that crimes can really be curbed in Nigeria. If all mechanisms are put in place.
    The federal government should make funding of security agencies a priority. If we want a safer Ngeria.
    The Commissioner of Police Rivers. Tunji Disu indeed knows his job. Welldone to you Sir and your amazing team.

    An incompetent police force. Why the public display of a corpse? The Nigerian Police force must move away from its crude practices, if it is to perform better.

    • @victorolayemi8688
      @victorolayemi8688 Před 29 dny +5

      If the corpse was not displayed as you claimed, how would the people believe the terrorist was truly neutralized?

    • @aframaco9491
      @aframaco9491 Před 27 dny +4

      You make a point, but there are times when such "crude practices" are necessary!!
      The police weren't being incompetent, in fact, they were intentional.
      In this case, it was important to show the body so as to demystify Tubaba and not set a precedent for needless hero worshipping by the locals !
      No criminal can win over society in the long run!
      👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!

    • @MichaelMacInnis
      @MichaelMacInnis Před 27 dny

      @@aframaco9491 They have not demystified any criminal by this act but rather devalued human life in the mind of the community. Corpses isn't a trophy to be seen around civil environments and even military environments, if it's not a funeral event , a morgue or the hospital.
      When people continuously see corpses on display, the value for human life in their eyes begins to drop.

    • @aframaco9491
      @aframaco9491 Před 27 dny

      @@MichaelMacInnis Well that is the life we live in, sometimes, crude and harsh methods are required to deter the worst excesses of criminal behaviour!
      The Tubaba himself and his gang were known to kill over 30 people within a short period of time, most were local Rivers people in neighbouring communities!
      Imagine the horror, local people must have felt, knowing he was still at large!
      When such a criminal is taken out, particularly because of the circumstances of his reign and death, I imagine the logic for his body to be on display to placate and comfort people, both the families of the victims of this criminal and the wider society!
      I saw this done with the body of Muammah Gadaffi in Libya and Saddam Hussein's sons in Iraq!
      Such had been their reigns of terror, that the people they oppressed for years, needed acute evidence of their demise!!
      After a reign of terror by Gift Okpara, it made the public display of his body necessary for public assurances!
      Your sentiments are just that.. your sentiments!!!
      People should be given the impression/assurances that the police and government agencies are up to the task, especially when hoodlums have become a menace to society!!
      I rest my case !!
      👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!!
