My town has a community buy nothing group. You can gift or ask for specific items free of charge. Clothing, furniture, tech, baby items, food, cleaning supplies, etc. You wouldn't believe the things people are willing to give away! Can save a tone!
Garage sales are fun and saves money
"leave your kids at home". I love this woman đ€Łđ
I can't believe how much money people throw away on food delivery services like UberEats and DoorDash. It's epitome of laziness and self-indulgence.
i only use delivery when guests are over
âTofu infringes on my right as an Americanâ. Loool
"Meal plan is like Crossfit"
I felt that... đ
I truthfully can say; Shopping at Aldis can saved me so much money, and like she said: no meat đđŒyou can afford more groceries âïžđ
I love Aldi's I save more than half. I meal plan better, Meat only two times a week.
The wife and I have come to the conclusion that I am not allowed to go groceries lol
Need more videos like this; I love the personal calls sometimes but we also need these hacks to help us with the budget!
Fasting is a great way to cut your meal expense. Once a week eat nothing. That's $50 cut from your budget.
And fasting is sooo healthy for you!!! Love this!!!
Love you two as hosts! Fun and knowledge!!
Amen to turning off lights when not needed. When you are paying the utility bill you care!! As a kid I didnât think about the bill. Educate your kids saying I pay the bill. You donât. You live in my house lol. đ
Now that I have to drive into the office three days a week again, Iâve been thinking of taking my running boards, trailer hitch, and spare tire off my truck to save weight⊠lol
Don't forget to check your tire pressure every so often.
I agree about the making coffee thing at home. The Bible says, "Redeem the time for the days are evil" which translated means, "Buy back your time for the days are tough" but I don't think that typically applies in this case. It takes quite a bit more time usually to get your coffee at a shop than just making it at home, even if you were already on your way there.
It's so much less wasteful too, using the same refillable coffee cup every day!
@@lauren4078 This is also true!
Best hack for men. Deer tags are only like 15 bucks. You get all that meat for $15! (Don't tell your wife how much all the gear, clothes, and bow costs)
Just hope your kill isn't infected with CWD because prion dieases are all they're cracked up to be.
Women huntresses are a thing too!
Not if you go to a butcher afterwards though and spend $100-200. And I have no choice but to use a butcher because we live in an apartment. No way my wife would let me process a deer in our living room lol.
Not in Vegas! đ«€
@MusicMan1eAnda and why I'd never live in a major metropolitan area like NYC, LA, Miami, Chicago, etc. Overpopulation. Prices increase when you live around more than the area can actually sustain.
Meat is mega-healthy and WAY healthier than tofu. I'll stick with the meat, thanks!
Thank you for saying this!!! Amen.
Fact. Soy is proven inflammatory junk.
Beans are a great way to save money!
@@greenleafyman1028 Do not be afraid of cholesterol!
Meat is healthy because those animals eat plants đ
Really love these two together. Good dynamic, great topics. Thank you!!!
"I'll make you the best tofo you've ever had before" That's a VERY low bar.
Donât hate! Celebrate!
I'm forever recycling "there's too much month at the end of my money" lol that's a great line
How did they talk about transportation and saving a couple cents in gas but didnât mentioned not buying expensive cars you canât afford?
Tthey talk about it in every video
When you work out you need the hot water for laundry. I choose that luxury lol
Agreed. I also wash my towels in hot water as well.
I still use cold water for my gym clothes, but I use a laundry sanitizer. Try that! It works really well.
@@lauren4078 Sure I'll try it!
@@1980maranda same! Sometimes w a lil bleach
Everything is give and take. That's the great thing about budgeting. Design your life. Cut here add there.
A life hack I discovered for my car insurance is if you are on monthly withdrawals for your car insurance it can be a few dollars cheaper depending what day of the month the withdrawal is set too. I save $3 a month, it's not a lot but it adds up with all the little hacks combined.
Pay your memberships upfront instead of doing monthly whenever possible.
As someone with crohn's disease, I would get severe pain if I had to only eat vegetables. Meat is nutrient dense and easy for me to digest. I would die if I became vegan or vegetarian
My brother has that. He got off all grains and dairy years ago, and his gut has slowly gotten better. He was doing meat+veggies for a long time, but recently flipped just to veggies. It's going pretty well. Minimal to no heavy carb foods or sugary foods. Needs to be creative to get enough variety in his diet with that limitation.
@@BikeHelmetMk2 The problem is that there is literally scarring in various parts of my intestine. Any foods that are rough to digest like leafy greens, or vegetables that aren't soft like boiled carrots, peas, etc will cause me immense pain for hours. Other crohn's patients have different issues that allow them to eat different things
Great points. I like both of these PROFESSIONAL people are so motivating. Keep up the great work. Make all these ways to save money the healthy way. She has cool color combinations on eyes and ears rings. Neal
Eggs have more protein per gram than meat, it may be a cheaper option a few times a week
Eggs are the perfect food. Actually eating another being. However, I can't eat them every meal or I'd get bored and binge snacks.
easier to eat 300 g of chicken/steak than 300g of eggs thoughâŠ
Eggs cost more per pound than chicken at the moment haha
Eggs have gone up in price too
Eggs are so not cheap anymore.
Fasting saves on groceries
One or two meals a day!
@@kokoskokso yup, OMAD !!
Also increases disease resistance. It's almost like giving your body a break from digesting - a period where it can repair - allows it to work on improving/fixing itself.
If you were a car, would you drive around in 1st gear at redline RPM all the time? No? Then fast. Working your digestive system constantly is just like that.
@@BikeHelmetMk2 Absolutely. I am giving my body time and space every day to heal from a major autoimmune disease. Plus I feel fantastic. For free đ€Ł
I've been doing majority of these for all my life. I go to the grocery store 1-2 times max per month very strict with do I have money for that. Self control goes a long way in things when you realize that you don't truly need those things. I don' tmeal plan per say but do know lots of recipes that work for me and buy in bulk and on sale for probably 95% of the things I buy and make food according to what's on sale and make it work. I used to be a cook and know how to cook from scratch (none of the unhealthy highly processed junk) making it taste better and cook in big batches to eat for multiple days. No problem with leftovers here, it saves me time, energy & money. Knowing the pricing on things with apps like Flipp to save of groceries. Otherwise I don't do the apps and use cash for everything. Learn the roads and know whether backroads can get you there quicker will also save you money on gas and save time. I used to drive fro a living and knew my area better than my coworkers so saved on gas and got more deliveries in less time so that helps. Go with free apps like Tubi to watch movies for free with ads but who cares it's how we grew up and can do something in that commercial time like switch a load of laundry etc. Basically go back to how we grew up in the early 80s and save money.
Flipp was awesome when I lived in the city! Now in the country, I uninstalled it.
Anyone that says âcut out meatâ doesnât understand nutrient density whatsoever. The people âfeeling better â all they did was for the first time in their lifeâs start watching what they ate. And anyone watching what they eat will obviously improve their diet in some fashion đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Cutting out meat for one day a week won't kill you. There are Seventh Day Adventists that have never tasted beef or chicken and will olive most folks in this comment section.
As a kid I was a saver. I saved my pennies and nickels, maybe spending 10cents every 6 months or so for jolly ranchers.
In my working life, I never saved. I was pondering today what happenedâŠ
I realized I never saved again after my mom took my savings to buy cigarettes. What was the point? It would just get taken.
Now I need to undo 40 years of thinking. But I know I can!!!
For the coffee drinkers out there - a thermos (or two as needed) is a way to have hot coffee all day long when not at home. If you wash out the thermos upon arriving home, you can even use "fixings" in your thermos. It is worth the investment over coffee stand coffee with upto a quick ROI. Even the price of fast food coffee is starting to inflate.
Save the coffee out expenditures for sitting down and actually enjoying your coffee and the time spent.
When she said eat less meat I cut off the video and grill a steak
Yeah I'm not cutting out meat lol
No one should cut out meat, if they understand anything about nutrition.
smaller portions, definitely donât eliminate
âIf you eat my tofu, you will rip your shirt off!â đ
No thx I have to buy a new one
I work in Own Brands (store brand) and the store brand product is very rarely made in the same factory or with the same formula :)
I love how vegetarians spend all their time trying to replicate meat, why not just eat it?
My husband and I eat a carnivore diet. Itâs cheaper and weâre healthier for it.
But vegan protein is definitely more expensive than chicken or eggs. Plus it's full of processed junk. Love the show. đ
I harvest most of my own meat through hunting and fishing. It's cheaper and better for me than tofu
If you have a storage unit and can afford it, pay a year in advance.. it will lock you in for that price and sometimes they offer a month free for paying in advance. Since there's no lease with the storage units they can raise your rates at anytime in less than a year. Also look for web specials if you're moving into a new unit
Hereâs an idea. Sell all that stuff (or donate, or BOTH) in your storage unit and give tour savings account an instant bonus payment!
@@TalentBBY .I agree if you can do it! Storing old furniture and just plain junk does not make storage sense !
Many live in an apt with no storage area to use. Some use a storage unit as a temp holding place until they relocate. if you have a house that has a basement or garage you can use for storage then , you are lucky It always makes good $$ sense to only store items that are very important to you .
I stopped with streaming services and that actually did help a lot.
Pro tip: Haggle your ISP every time when contract or discount expires, especially when there are more options out there.
What is an ISP?
@@Lancelot0311 internet service provider. Aka spectrum or Uverse
If you have the best isp already, this does not work.
@@RestoredMedia I used the "It's out of my budget. I don't need all that speed, [insert ISP] offers x speeds at y price which suits my needs just fine. I'm thinking of switching over to them to save money." Often times they offer a lower price or match the price. They rather keep than lose you as a customer.
đŻ A few months ago, I did this, saved $80 per month for three more months.
Less stop and go as better, unless you have a hybrid. In that case, stop and go is the best way to go, because every time you stop, the engine turns off.
I use baking soda with lavender essential oil for laundry soap my son has sensitive skin and his soap was $15 a bottle I do a bottle a week so this hack saved me $100 a month
3:04 As a CrossFit guru, I cannot tell you how many times Iâve heard this. CrossFit is probably one of the simplest workout plans ever.
Same here just sucks most memberships are 150+monthly
Love your hacks!! I work way too many hours a day to have time to watch TV or anything else, so no subscriptions there.
For real. Groceries at Aldi are ridiculously cheap! 2023 will be my third year of budgeting only $80 for groceries a month- thanks to Aldi!
I follow a pescatarian diet for the most part.
Depends. Some items at Aldi are great. Others either go bad in 1-2 days or are poor substitutes.
Nope

I used to be able to fill my cart at Aldi for $40. Now itâs $70 for the same stuff. Aldi prices have gone up a lot too. đź
I am 61 and have been a vegetarian since age 19. One more reason to love Jade!
I've heard people say that the low flow shower heads cause them to waste more water because they have to take longer due to not having enough pressure
Yes! My apartment put in low flow shower head in all of the units in the fall. It also depends on the quality of the shower head if you get more water pressure! Mine is pitiful and now I wash my hair in the sink and shower after...takes a lot longer and pain in the A$$.đ€Šââïžđ€Šââïž

Never understood the leaving water on while brushing teeth thing. Makes as much sense as leaving the door to your house open or keeping your car running 24/7 because your going to use them in the future.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł Calling me out with the "stuff in the car weighing it down" Ok ok I'll clean out the car!!!
Donât agree with the fact that generic medication are not the same ⊠Iâm a pharmacist ⊠there are some medication where the generic works just as well but many arenât equivalent at all and are less effective⊠but for people who are really struggling to pay, generics can be still beneficial
And i have heard that some really cheap generics may have fillers in them which may have negative side effects -
Down here in Georgia, our water bills are based on how many thousands of gallons of water we use. Letting the water run while you brush your teeth uses a few gallons per month. It has no actual impact on the bill. Similarly, running the dishwasher a dozen extra times per month does not use enough water to make a difference in the bill. Neither does flushing the toilet, even if you flush it 4 extra times per day. So there's no benefit to "if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown flush it down".
The shower, the swimming pool, and the sprinklers constitute 90% of the water usage.

I agree with the store brand stuff, except for grape juice. For some reason, store brand grape juice just doesnât measure up to Welches.
Or Midol. I tried off-brand Midol and had no cramp relief. Have to take actual Midol or it doesn't work lol bodies are weird đ
With generics, OTC or prescription, sometimes its the binders fillers, or extra/ other ingredients which make the name brand work/ work better.
Kidneys beans, urad daal, lentil, peanut source of proteins
Couponing helps too!

Moving can cost A LOT so compare how much moving costs are before you move
Sometimes the cheaper options aren't to good for the body
Actually she has a point. 2 hours of babysitting is cheaper then $15 chicken nuggets that they wonât eat. And you need a break from the kids too.
Come on guys! Who told you we don't need red meat?
Dream Team right here !
Send that tofu recipe over đ
To the 'same protein per ounce" quality and type matter. A lot of the protein that is found in not meats are either worse in quality or are not usable for the human body
THIS.
Pea protein and soybean are both complete proteins, and therefore just as good as meat, while other incomplete plant proteins can easily be made complete by combining different plant proteins. So, you get the necessary nutrients and you save money. Itâs a win-win.
I completely agree, but I get where sheâs coming from. I definitely eat a lot of meat but if I ever need to save money for a week or so, I will switch out my protein and do beans no problem.
also not all meat is created equally. Pork is horrible for you vs chicken or fish.
@jessem4659 fatty pork is bad. Pork tenderloin is fantastic for you.
I agree with so much yâall say but constantly pushing Aldi is not one of them. Yes all stores have sales and bogo. Shop the ads. Do your work .
We do GoodRanchers for our meat. Great stuff and a good value.

Hiring a baby sitter to go grocery shopping might be one of the most tone deaf things Iâve heard from this show.
These two together are not a great combo.
no it was a baby sitter for dining out
Donât be committed to your auto insurance, internet, cell phone plans. If you have the option check out competitor rate once a year or so as you get a better rate as a new customer or your existing will usually offer discount if you tell them you are leaving. Saves $100 per month on auto insurance just recently.

I'm going to need Jade's tofu recipe. As much as I enjoy meat, cutting it out definitely cut down on my grocery bill.
I was scrolling to see if anyone already asked. We donât eat meat, and also donât eat tofu often but Iâd love the recipe to try!! Câmon can we have the recipe????
I pay cash for all my food. That includes any eating out and coffees. I put the cash in my purse at the beginning of the week when I do my big once a week grocery shop. If I look in my purse and there's no money, that means I can't eat out or buy coffee.
The best tofu I've ever had? That's an extremely low bar
I donât want tofu anywhere near me
Agreed đ
another laundry tip hang clothes outside or in the basement or in the house don't use your clothes dryer
Never go to the supermarket hungry or without a list, negotiate all your bills, and pay cash or debit. Those will help in 2023. I will record a good video about this myself, so check it out!
Youâre a fool if you debit instead of using a cash back card and paying it off at the end of every month. Get some discipline
"Just a label." Well, the generic coffee from Walmart gave me a terrible headache.
The sad/good thing nowadays is that the store brand is better quality than name brand.
We make our own dressings. We still buy meat. We go to grocery stores that have sales going on. Pretty soon we will make our own bread.
Eat more affordable foods.
My cousin eats prime rib, fancy desserts, lobster.... then doesn't have enough money for gasoline. Complains that it's all about "the gas."
No, she needs to eat foods less expensive.
If you go by per pound price, meat is actually cheaper. I can get chicken thighs for $2/lb while most veg is over that for far fewer calories.
Replace some TV time with books you read from the library
Steak vs tofu isnât about protein, its about taste
How about FREE tv? The Chosen is completely free, as well as all shows and movies on Angel Studios. They can both be streamed on smart TVs! Or library DVDs.
Store brands are better than generics, and less than brand names.
I agree, however there are some food items/brands that taste better than others.
George, don't do the tofu. Be a real man and eat that steak, bro.
You still have to tip with take-out.
you can definitely leave a smaller tip than being waited on all night
As the bible says sit and calculate đ
I used to be a vegan and it was way more expensive than being a meat eater, but if Jade wants to send me some of her tofu, the way she describes it. Iâm definitely down. đ
Water and trash is a flat fee in my area so the water savings wonât save our bills but will save water available to city.
Forgot gardening even if you have a patio tomatoes in a pot even onion carrots in a pot taste great no pesticides
As a diabetic, I cannot eat vegan protein to save money from buying meat.
Not everyone can be vegetarian or eat tofu. Promoting vegetarianism as if it has health benefits is becoming a very popular thing to do, but itâs misguided. Especially for people with diabetes and other metabolic health issues.
Also, consider fruit as a dessert. Fruit is sweet and more expensive, but people think of it has a health food.
Intermittent fasting will actually save you money.
For vegetarians, look for foods that are rich in vitamin B12. That would be yoghurt and milk and eggs.
B12 is not found naturally in vegetables and itâs necessary for proper brain function and mood regulating.
But yes, plan your familyâs meals, make a list, stick with the plan.
Thank you for the information!
