I love the Cub pattern... started collecting them with the idea that one day I might like to gift a few to people & give them a choice in colours.
One trick I use with slipjoints to improve the action is to drop a little rubbing alcohol into the pivot and then work it open & closed repeatedly till it cleans itself out a bit, then I add a few drops of reel oil and work it a little more. So far so good!

I’m really tempted to start collecting rough riders. Many reviews saying that the quality is improving over time and for the price you can’t beat them.

There hard to ignore if I'm honest, I think they are great for the money.

Thank you for a great comprehensive review of this knife, I have just started collecting RR knives this year I think this will sit nicely there. I am of the same opinion of you regarding buying lock knives and being not able to carry them on a regular basis.
    Thank you again

I also pass up on the cub every time, but will defo consider it now on your recommendation, I now have a load of RR knifes & one will fit in nicely.

I ve ordered this one right now.
    It s my first RR.
I am a collector, and I got real expensive knives. Honestly, often an expensive knife doesn’t worth his price. I think usually there is a great difference between 10/20€ knive and a 50€ knife. But if you spen more than 100€, I don’t see great difference between a 100€ knife and a 300€ one. I think you pay more just for the name. And for that price (300) in Italy you can ask am artisan to make an handmade knife with sharp, material, and all the caratteriatcs you want.
More: I don’t use knife, o just have it at home, so I think I ll start to buy cheap one

that's pretty much my thinking, I think when I buy a knife it's between £50-£70, I love knives but see no in spending £300 on a single knife, I just think I can buy better things for money like that.

When you "unlock" it does the blade fall into place like a spyderco for example or you still need to move it to close?

Because our laws are stupid and our government barely even trust us with a tea Spoon.

Cunning little knife. Stupid knife laws.
