Great suggestions.... Height of tent is important for longer trips as it's nice to stand to get dressed. Shorter tents are lighter weight and better in cold weather Another consideration is also the extension from the fly.... when camping in small spaces/sites, then smaller extensions from flies can be useful!
Good points made. If you have four in your family you don't want to sleep next to each other, you for sure want wiggle room and also some room to play games, read books if you have rain.
The better measure of size is a air mattress. Car campers usually use an air mattress rather than a sleeping pad. I have found you need to double the stated size if using an air mattress.
I'd like to take up tent camping, and I've been watching many videos on different tents, including your excellent six-way tent comparison. I like your reviews' thoroughness and honest opinions. There are the two of us, my wife and myself, but we want a lot of room and be able to stand up in the tent. That basically means cabin and tunnel style tents. I am very interested in the Gazelle T4 Plus in particular for the quality material, weather proofing, and the ease to set up and take down. It is heavy, but it is not a major concern for me. Would you consider doing a review on that tent (the Overland version or not) or the T8? Thanks.
Hey there - you’re the 2nd person to ask about that tent actually. I’m interested in doing a review on that and have looked into it a little bit. But, I probably won’t be able to get to it for awhile unfortunately. I just bought 7 new tents to review, so I’m kind of out of CZcams money now :) Hopefully I’ll be able to get to it in the future, but if you’re looking to make the purchase in the next couple of months, then I’ll probably be too slow for you this time. All the best, and if you do end up getting the T4 let me know what you think of it!
@@littlecampfires I understand. I'm not in a hurry. I'll keep digging for videos on the Gazelle tents. Hopefully, I'll see your review on it before I pull the trigger on a tent. Keep up the good work.
Hello sir, would you like to test our mini pump for your sleeping mats? It can inflate/deflate your sleeping pads in 50s, vacuum-pack clothes, and even illuminate spaces in your tent/room!
Tent sizing is stupid as fuck. I camp with my son, just the two of us, in a 6 person cabin tent and thats what we need to be comforable and secure with our gear
Quess what no two manufactories are ever the same, and if you are not a complete idiot you will get the size of the floor before you buy one. As far as room that is weather and conditions, gear in or out.

I always halve the tent accommodation numbers anyway. Unless all 6 people are camping without gear, there's no way everyone fits in there

Thank you. I’m trying to pick a tent for my son and I. I was going with three person sounds like we need a bigger tent!
I have a "2 man" tent that cannot fit a double air mattress inside!
Just do what i did and get a vango airbeam tent from england plenty of room
I miss not having my new video this week
Well hopefully the round up video will make up for it when I’m finished :)
