      Except what that statement implies is “I made you, without me you’d be nothing” which even if it was true, is a very insulting thing to say when that person has their own unique gifts as well as having worked hard to get where they are now. Yeah sure, without Harvey Mike wouldn’t be a lawyer, but that doesn’t mean Mike took that opportunity for granted either, nor does it mean that Harvey alps didn’t mentor him along the way

  • @derek4044
    @derek4044 Před 10 měsíci +6

    This scene is so misunderstood lol. Harvey is wrong.
    Yes, his intention was to "shoot Mike in the knee to spare Logan shooting him in the face."
    But that didn't work, because Logan refused to accept that outcome. He wanted Mike ground into dust or "shot in the face," regardless of what Harvey had already done.
    Had Harvey done nothing, he may have had a chance of convincing Mike to drop it.
    Instead, Harvey shot him in the knee because he thought he could appease Logan.
    He destroyed any chance he had of convincing Mike to drop the takeover when he leveled him in his office. He wasn't wrong, exactly. Harvey did make Mike.
    But he said it in the most aggressive and condescending way possible, which destroyed any hope of getting Mike to listen to him.
    The point that the show is making is that Harvey wants Mike grounded into dust just as bad as Logan, and he doesnt even know it.
    He doesn't want Mike to suffer for the rest of his life, but he wants to take a pound of flesh from Mike because he feels betrayed. Like Mike left him. Because he has abandonment issues.
