I am 18 months Locd and had my first hair wash without braiding and banding and it felt GREAT! I have bunching and have been using the crochet method. It works!
I instant locked all of my micro loc’s so that I wouldn’t have to worry about loc bunching or unraveling at all. My loc’s appear fully mature but are getting tighter and no shrinkage which allows me to see all of the growth after I interlock the roots.
Your demonstration was very effective and keep up the good work!🎉
I'm doing the same for the same reasons. I don't want to have to worry either.
Hey, a quick question : would you consider instantlocking your roots to retightening them ? I was wondering if it could be a good alternative to interlocking... Thank you !
@@Malzaaaa instant locking is perfect for the installation but I prefer to interlock the new growth with a 2, 3 or 4 point rotation with the 4 being the most effective at controlling the girth of the loc. You can determine the number of rotations/tension are most comfortable for you.
Instant locking must be done leaving an inch from the root to prevent pulling out hairs from the scalp.
@@jamesbennett8637 ok thank you that is perfectly clear 😊 I will stick to the interlocking then
Thank you. I’m 18 months sisterlocked and I’m not loving my swollen fat ends in my hair. This will be my last effort to fix my issues before I resort to cutting them off. This method looks doable. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for sharing. I'm 2months and 1 week in my journey, these tips will be very helpful.
This was so helpful! Im 4 months into my journey & can definitely use this tip! Ordering the tools now!
Likewise! Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing. I ordered this tool as I have a lot of bunching. Hope I can get mine under control.
Love love your locs. I am at month 8 and have been noticed a lot of bunching. This video was so so helpful. I will be ordering that tool today.
The tool is so helpful! I started noticing the bunching around month 8 too. I’m glad this was helpful for you!
You are the best at finessing this lock game 👏🏾
Thank you so much!!
Nice one, 👍🏽 the end result is so nice. Welldone and thanks.
Thank you so much!
Literally just hit 8 weeks and I have ALIT of bunching! I had no idea that this is what it was! I will be ordering this tool today!
Let me know how it works for you! Thank you for watching!
OMGOODNESS!! Thank you for this video. I will be ordering the tools and fixing my bunching loc’s. I am 7 months into my micro loc journey and this has become a problem for me!
I'm 2 months in my journey and I will be purchasing this tool for my bunching. BTW, your hair has grown a lot and it's gorgeous. 😍😍
It’s very helpful! And thank you girl!
Thank you so much for this. My locs were looking wacky. I got the tools and fixed them. Ahhh they look fab🤗
Thank you glad it worked for you!
I like your technique. I'm going to try it. Thank you.
This was soooo helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Same thing is happening to mines and it looking wild. I can use this tool to tame my locs a bit. Thank you
This video is giving me hope! And your hair looks amazing! I’m About to order the tool. I’m a week shy of being locked for a year. But I too noticed bunching around 9 months.
Question: do I always go to the end of my loc when correcting the bunching? Will it not kind of unravel the ends if I still have loose ends?
Thank you so much, I really needed this. I’m almost a year and my ends are bunching so bad.
Here watching and listening
You did a great job
Thank you!
Awesome! You did a great job. Btw…has anyone ever told you you resemble Keshia Knight Pulliam? 😍
The locs are loc'sing❤ This video is so encouraging for me. I have twists interlocked. I'm 2.5 months and struggling with the frizz, shrinkage (it's been a lot compared to how it started on blow dried hair😩) and bunching. I often want to give up as it's at that awkward stage (I hate the phrase 'ugly stage').
How long did it take for your hair to 'drop' and shrink less?
Here watching
Thank you! I am SO glad I came across your video because I was bout to get to cuttin! 😂
Gracias por explicarlo tan bien 😊😊
Your hair is gorgeous! What is that eyeshadow?!?! 👀🥰👀🥰
I love your ML. Not crazy small. Their about the same size I would like nines to be. Roughly do you know how many locs you have?
Beautiful 😍 🤩
Very good 👍
Wow I am now in my 9 months LOC’D
So now that you are instant locked. Does that mean the shrinking phase, bunching, teenage etc. is all over with and you can start seeing growth?
Should your hair be wet when repairing
The doggie and then the look 😂🤣
I just love watching yr vids and I am not micro loc. I am no locked 🔒🤣🤣
Well I’m glad you chose to watch my content! 🤣🥰
Ok I like it but don't like the stiffness of the instant locking tool
It’s the growth for me!
thank you!!
Just stumbled on this video 🙌🏽 A quick question please... My tool doesn't move when I move it in and out while turning the loc.
Is there a specific technique you can share?🙏🏽
Probably silly question but it didn’t look fully locked so wouldn’t you have been able to just unravel it and re-twist it? Or was it fully locked?
The tool is design to “help” start the locing process. For instance when people are getting instant locs attached their natural hair isn’t locked. It is helping me to fix bunching in areas of my loc
If you take loose and retwist you may remove the needed shed hair that helps lock your hair. Also, you will keep delaying your locking process
You look so pretty
Thank you so much girl!
I’m just seeing your video. But what is amazing is that this was 1 y. Ago and your employer was still discriminating that is insane.
It's the law! You can no longer be discriminated about your hair
This is so weird but you have a nice nose lol
Thanks lol
🤣 i agree, she does! Perfectly shaped.. so interesting
I agree lol!❤️
Dead... but yes. She does😂
That sound you are ripping your hair. It is a slow process. It's a in & out process...but the way you're pulling can rip your hair
Considering that the concept process of lock is done with sheading hair actually ripping helps if it is not overdone.
@@lifeisgoodjohn316No, ripping the hair is not what you want to do. You are pulling and pushing the hair strands together in order for them to tangle together and form the shape of your loc’s and palm-role to create the cylinder shape.
Bunching is part of the locing process. The locs are wanting to mature and the bunching and swelling is part of the Journey. Those of us who have microlocs try to tame our locs into a more polished look that resembles microbraids. Thats not Bad necessarily.
I was wondering about this. So bunching is normal?? Should I retwist the bunching or just let it be free?
@@kimberlyholt74When you crochet all of your loc’s it will cause them to appear mature and you will not have to worry about bunching, shrinking or unraveling!😊
Okay off topic this is dumb when you said furry people I thought about the people who dress up like animals lol
Woman, sick to the topic
