Adjustable Bending Fork & Jig For Blacksmiths

- In this video: Jeff makes an adjustable bending fork, there is just one catch. He set a 10 dollar limit for materials, 30 minutes to built it and it had to be multi use... oh, he also can not weld any part of it.
This simple jig will fit in a vise and adjust to different dimensions only limited to your vise jaw size. You can use it replace the need for multiple s hook jigs for different size hooks can also be used for making small scrolls too!

I just came across your video and faced palmer. LOL. I am in the middle of making a 12" x 12" x 1 1/2" bending jig for hooks and scrolls. I have hours invested in it, and your jig is easy and done in 30 minutes. Lol. I tilt my hat to you, Sir! Thank you for reminding me to keep it simple. 🙂

I made one of these wire bending jigs today in about 3 hours as I had to mount and adjust the vise on my drill press. I bent some wire left over from some cattle panels that have very strong wire and it worked fine. Since your design uses a 1/2 inch square peg to use half inch drive sockets I thought about making a jig out of 3/8 inch round rod and square rod to use 3/8 drive sockets and perhaps make smaller hooks. Thanks much for the design as I can now use the jig to put hooks on wires with ease and I have about 80 hooks of these to make.

Better late than never, however; I just watched your video on Bending Forks. I have a Jig that allows me to make S Hooks in two sizes, and it works fine. However; your jig provides 8 to ten sizes and is very easy to build. I have a Harbor Frieght Bender, but; I really don't use it much. With your creation, I can now use the dyes from the compact bender and expand my ability to create numerous sizes S Hooks. Thank you for sharing your Jig. 😊

Thank you so much for making and sharing this video. I am not a blacksmith or welder but am going to (hopefully)use this to bend old silver plated forks and spoons to make bracelets. Love the concept of something that can be used for a variety of projects and sizes and does not require welding to complete. Again thank you very much, your talent and generosity are appreciated.
