Freeking awesome!! This is going to be the best documented moon mission in history. It will bring this insane trip down to earth.
And some people will still say it’s fake
@@watchman9198how do you feel now huh?
There is such heartfelt passion behind this mission. So many sensitive, and creative people. Mr. Hall seems like the right kind of filmmaker to take on such a journey. This video really touched me. I am more excited about dearMoon than I ever was. Science is important. But it's time to bring humanities soul into space, not only its mind.
The best season of Big Brother ever!!! Seriously though, this is so exciting and I think it is a wonderful idea to have such an eclectic mix of talented young people to take us on the journey with them to view our precious little shared island in the sea of space.
THANKS BRENDAN , FOR SHARING YOUR STORY 🤗👍😎💚💚💚
I don't think anyone will be able to fathom how impactful this mission will be for future generations
Inspiring words to keep dreaming! I look forward to experiencing your story in this project!
An inspirational trailblazer for the human race. Not a bad line on the CV! Well done, we are all with you.
Congratulations!
Awesome! Congratulations!
So happy for you Brendan!!!! Can’t wait!
I wish you the best of luck!!!
This gives me chills.
Please bring us back pictures of the stars taken in orbit around the Moon while the spacecraft is in the Moon's Shadow. I just want more pictures of the stars from space.
An astronomer will tell you this, but any professional photographer knows that capturing the moon (extremely bright) and a star (relatively extremely dim besides the sun lol) is near impossible. The settings you would need to capture one to a satisfactory degree would preclude you from seeing the other (too dim), or it would wash the whole picture out (too bright).
@@donkoltz1 in the moons shadow so it wont be bright at all
@@Harrysreptarium Oh I see, I misunderstood.
I just think pictures of brilliant Stars taken through the starship viewing port should be awfully cool. (Because of the relative luminance of other bodies I suggested the shadow of the Moon, facing away from Earth or anything that might dim out the Stars.) It's called "Starship" after all even though it's never practically going to a star. At least we need to get some photos of stars!! The recent Artemis 1 live cameras are really cool but I don't remember seeing much starlight..
I'm sure that's exactly why he was selected.
Being one of the guys they chose to hold a camera on the first manned moon mission in over half a century is going to look damn good on his resume, lol.
If these humans get to go we will truly be blessed with some amazing footage/stories
Congratulations to you, I think this trip will be one of the most technical detailed and best filmed trip to the moon
Super inspiring! Thanks. From the self-taught (not)architect
I look forward to seeing this training and the mission through your eyes - and Tim and Rhiannon. It'll be great to get different perspectives.
That is an honor. I hope that I can see the film when you return. God's Speed.
Beautiful video! Chills
Looking forward to dearMoon ! its gonna be historic !
When??
@@Cloudetower I've been askin the same question, it doesn't look like it's anytime soon although they said its around the end of 2023, starship hasn't even gotten FAA approval to do a test flight so its definitely going to take at least a year from now to see progress with the dearmoon project.
@@CaptainAdamGHonestly I think it may take another 3 or 4 years until they can fly people with Starship. Elon is always too optmistic with schedules, but it will get there
Amazing! ❤
♥️
does he have a youtube channel? I hope lots of companies will sponsor the moon peeps with all the equiptment they need.
🥺
I'm so excited to see what the crew come up with together. The amount of creativity in this crew is going to make this project the absolute best. Thank you MZ!
Dear Moon, we won't be coming now due to a 'rapid unscheduled disassembly' of both ship and crew. Yours faithfully,
Do a unedited live stream. It will make a lot of money, but it has to be live and uncut. Please 🙏
so happy for you man!!! please take the best video!!!
Most sincere congratulations!!!!!!
Can't wait to see what comes of your journey! Good luck and congratulations. Watch your back with that backup crew! They will be swinging for your spot! (jk, or am I?)
Still think this is happening this year then?? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great to see such a perfect crew member.
Hi also wana join can u tell how can I apply for this plzzz help me
Good luck to you! Bring us back some great footage, if you can!
👌
You are going to have, One Story to Tell to your Grandkids!!
Who?
The Dear Moon crew will undergo many many changes between now and when Starship can actually work, at least 10 years. Probably 20 years, if ever. Tim Dodd may try to hang in there, but will he be physically up to the journey in 10 or 20 years? I ask these questions because Elon flufflers do not have the courage to.
.. and it got cancelled
why?
who the hell knows, as far as i know all they would have needed to do was wait for starship to become human ready
A space mission is a huuuge project where everything has to be planned to the smallest detail, and a lot has changed since they planned this mission..
For instance, starship was going to be made out of a carbon composite (it is now stainless steel).
Not that THAT change in particular matters, but when there has been such a dramatic big change to the design we can only imagine how many countless other changes has happened..
I'm not saying it wouldn't be possible to just postpone and do the mission when starship is ready, but at some point it probably becomes more risky to keep changing the parameters of an "old" mission rather than starting a new mission with all the new changes in mind
@@JFlatby I mean that's fair but at the same time I don't think that much was actually planned in terms of the mission or any real parameters, other than that it was meant to go around the moon, so to me it was just kinda a waiting game for spacex to get starship human certified and then maybe be the second or third manned flight, but according to Maezawa it was cancelled due to not meeting the deadline. imo waste of money for him and wasted future starship seats, i would have loved to see Tim go on that journey
@@pixel690 good point! I guess we'll never really know.. it sucks regardless
@@JFlatbyspacex will NEVER go to the moon. How the fuck do you people still believe in this shit. Elon is a fuckin liar and full of shit and in less than 5 years all his "companies" will be history
Well you answered your own question - with such a sketcy desing without failsafw to save the passengers it will never reach to human capable flights
I Wish I Could Go!! 53 Navy Corpsman/Devil Doc. (8404). I already Informed Elon that I, "Volunteer", for Mars...
Yeah this is not gonna happen
Lol what a joke. We can not and have never been to the moon. It’s going to be so fun to watch this fizzle or bang L M F A O mark my words.
K, screenshotting. Bet.
@@ThePope406 lol. You still think you live on a globe earth don’t you?
@@nicholashpitts hey don't attack me tho. Yes absolutely I think the earth is a globe. I just don't think when I can see Jupiter myself with my telescope. Watch and record it for days. See that it is a ball. See that Saturn is a ball. I just can't follow the flat earth. I' ve never heard a compelling argument. And when I make a point of my own I'm a government actor or an idiot. So ...
@@nicholashpitts I also have problem with a lot of it like the moon being it's own light source wich I know now everyone on that side of the " debate" believes. That part is easily disprovable. The craters wouldn't cast a shadow. The official flat earth map doesn't work with what you see in the sky. It really isn't that I don't keep an open mind. It's just that I have to hear a sound argument that doesn't undermine infallible physics.
And I have seen the ISS many times with my telescope which isn't even supposed to be real. Once even by accident passing in front of the moon. That thing isn't shaped right to fly on its own. I has to be in space . IDK if I'm wrong I'm wrong but I have good arguments as well.
LOL really not looking good for you guys now is it 😂😂
boo hoo starship development being slowed down by government regulation.
@@goldenshatter no need to cry about it
@@jorisbonson386 I am though and will be for the foreseeable future.
@goldenshatter OK just do it in private
@@jorisbonson386 no
Where are you guys going to poop?
@Rishabh's Cricket Shorts where did they go to the bathroom on the Apollo missions?
1/3 of the world is black and not a single one fits the criteria of a creative that gets too go to the moon. Odd....
What about Yemi from Nigeria? He doesn't count or what?
By your logic it should basically only be chinese and indian people on the flight lol. Take your critical race theory and gtfo.
Edit: Also Yemi A.D.'s father is from Nigeria. Is that african enough to check your box, or are you about to out yourself as the real racist? lol
There is a black crew member. And the guy who paid for the mission and generously chose to take artists and creators along with him is only bringing one other person from his own country, the only person who even speaks his language. I don't think racial cry-bullying is going to work here.
Congratulations!
