One good thing about racing games with unlicensed cars is that they often knock it out the park when it comes to car sounds.
So true! They don't have to worry about making the engine noises accurate to anything, since they're entirely original designs! And these cars in particular sound positively *KILLER!*
Yeah, listen to Mudpluggers, Bikes and Rally Cars in Motorstorm Pacific Rift... Mudpluggers engine give me shivers all the time

@@oldjagfan the only "issue" for someone, if we can call it that, is Burnout and Motorstorm games have vehicles with "endless gears".
Also, all vehicles from the same category, in Motorstorm, have the same engine sound, it changes only by category (bike, car, buggy, race truck etc.)

Still baffled by how good these late Xbox 360/PS3 games look.

I adore the sound design in this game! Just like Blur, each car has grittiness in their engine noises that gives them their own special kind of powerful sound. Unlike Blur, however, that grittiness carries over to the ambient course sounds as well! Every explosion sounds impactful, making you feel like things are blowing up right in your face! This is definitely a game to play with a home theater set hooked up.

You should have put Burnout Paradise at least for "honorable mentions"
Expect that Paradise was a late 2000's title.
I don't know why but this game reminds me a lot about Burnout Paradise
They both came out around the same time so it could make sense
Inbelive some of the devs from Burnout also worked at Black Rock

Mi coche favorito sigue siendo el Ryback Firestorm, por el sonido del sobrealimentador pero que claramente en ese tiempo no sabía que se llamaba así ni porque sonaba así el coche.
Hola! , En realidad ese sonido tan famoso de Sobrealimentador no proviene del mismo , sino de la transmisión del coche , pasa lo mismo que con el BMW M3 E46 GTR del Need For Speed Most Wanted del 2005 , mucha gente piensa que este trae un Sobrealimentador pero en realidad ese sonido demoníaco que este y el Ryback emiten es debido a su transmisión , de hecho el sonido de este mismo esta grabado del mítico BMW

Cool cars, destructible environments, suspenseful music, lens flare up the wazoo...
@@silhouettoofaman2935 Except it's not. Since MotorStorm was PS3 exclusive, this is the closest we got to destructible environments in a racing game, though this one is just some thrill-ride TV series.
