    I have been impatiently waiting for a Milsbo tall white to come back in stock. I just bought the detolf to hold me over until I can get the Milsbo. I have been searching for inspiration. This video helped a lot! Love that those clips work on the sides, too! I ordered wire shelves to help with humidity in the cabinet and have a fountain purchased.

    New sub here! I’m so glad I found your channel. I love house plants but don’t have a lot. I like my plants looking like an intentional part of design and decor so I collect slowly. So many people on CZcams seem to collect for the sake of collecting which is no shade as I enjoy watching them and they should do whatever makes the happy in their space! I just appreciate seeing someone put a lot of thought into aesthetics.

      This is my favourite comment 😁❤ you get me! I need everything to look very intentional, so I'm picky on which plants I have and I prune everything often to keep it looking tidy 🌿 I want them to be part of the decor 😁 always nice to find more passionate plant-stylers!

    Love your channel. Excited how you made these cabinets into high humidity area. I'm trying to grow bromeliads in Arizona. Lucky to get 34% humidity. Glad to hear you got humidity just by closing up the cabinet with fan.
    To shade bulbs: get thin metal sheets from hardware store (in decorative metal area). Cut with scissors to form shade and clip to bulb base. Bend by hand.

    Love this, and thank you so much for all the details. And I really love those fake trailing plants from IKEA! I thought they kind of looked like tradescantias and almost bought one. I don’t think it’s embarrassing at all! My house is a mini jungle, but I appreciate a nice cozy decorative accent that’s low maintenance!

    Not sure if you've solved your lamp shade problem yet, but what I've used for plants and also my house banties is the black reptile light fixtures with the ceramic bases. (like Fluker's or Zoo Med brands, whatever they have at PetCo etc.) So no worries about heat and I think they look nice. Cheers!

    Hi Alina :) I recently found a FREE red oak display cabinet similar to the detolf config and I'm super excited to try this out finally. Solstice gratitude! Every cabinet at IKEA appears to be sold out. My question is about the fans. Normally I'd be concerned about a non-sealed motor in a humid environment. Do you know if anyone has had issues with these standard type of desk top/computer fans? TIA!

    Hi Alina. I thought of you when I saw this lamp idea. You were thinking of a way to shade your Detolf light. This lady on USA FB greenhouse club bought a work light with a clamp. She removed the clamp and used the metal shade over her grow light. I took pics to send to you but don’t know how to send so you could see. She acquired the light at Home Depot in aisle with extension cords. It really did the job.

    Very informative video and thank you so much for sharing. I have a question though. 1) Did you cut the pegboard to fit inside or was there a size similar to yours that I can buy? If it's a different size, How did you cut it? 2) On Pegboard Clips you used, Is it strong enough to hold a 5 inches pot of plant on soil?.

    • @PlanteriorDecorator
      @PlanteriorDecorator  Před 3 lety

      Thank you! That pegboard was a size IKEA offered, I'm not sure if they still do! The pegboard clips are super strong and I'd say they could probably handle up to a 6 inch nursery pot.
