- Flair Espresso is releasing the new Flair Go on Kickstarter on August 27. The Flair Go is a compact, foldable travel espresso machine. In this video, I will express my opinion on whether or not you should consider backing it.

I backed the ground version, but hear me out. As somebody who is prior service, I would probably be going for a pods if they are something that I could load myself. It’s very convenient and there’s just not a lot of time in the morning before you have to go to work in the field. So all you have to do is just heat up water which you can use an MRE heater to do and make good espresso. If the pods are one time uses, I don’t really see the appeal in it.
sounds like the flow control basket might be something that you are after.
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner There's the Joepresso with the Aeropress for that.
I think it uses pods to better compete with wacaco , it can compete with the nanopresso which optionally uses pods. This will be more that twice that price, but comes with stand, pressure gage, and better ergonomics.
it just seems there is better options if you want to go the pod route. I guess it probably didnt cost them much to add a pod adaptor though
I'm shocked that the price is only $125. Makes it super tempting.
I was really hoping for cheaper
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner It's a lot more challenging to design with all those hinges, so I was expecting twice the price of the Neo Flex. At least if durability and longevity were a design goal (and I hope they were).
So much for $89. Kickstarter price is $125, with retail listed at $189 (if memory serves). Backed and eagerly waiting
I was definitely bummed at the prices
Depends on the $$$
125$
I saw that! I would say that’s a pretty good deal, but it’s kind of hard to recommend it when the neo flex is so cheap
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner indeed
I wish I had a good tamper for my new neo flex. I am excited to see how this works out.
It’ll be interesting for sure!
It’s all metal, I expect this range of pricing. It’s a flair classic, but portable.
I've just back one on the kickstarter, even though I've already had a La Pavoni. The foldable design really attracts me a lot. And now I'm worrying about the durability. It seems well made, and the aluminum frame seens tough, but I'm worrying about the toughness of those pivot screws.
Moreover I'm Chinese but currently studying in Germany, and I found out that the estimated additional fee is 60 USD if I want to have it shipped to Germany, but only 10 USD if shipped to China. And in January 2025 I will stay in China for a month, what a lucky coincidence lol.
So you will pick the Flair Pro 2 over the Flair 58? I don’t know which one to get
It kind of depends on your needs both are great in their own way!
I have different espressos machines but I don’t have any manual espresso one. I don’t now if the heating element on the Flair 58 justifies the double price over the Pro 2. Please can you tell me why you will pick the Pro 2?
As a Pro 2 owner, if you plan to have it as your main machine for more than 1-2 years, Flair 58 would give you peace of mind. Pro workflow is just way too slow and way too finnicky to use it as a main machine.
Besides the heating element, the standarized portafilter workflow will make most of the difference. With the Pro you have to disassemble it every time after a shot, dealing with boiling hot metal parts, just to throw away the puck and rinse the portafilter.
And making a second shot is also a huge hassle.
Pricing in Europe is just to much
I’ve heard :(
Kickstarter super early limited price of $125 is too high for a kickstarter product with msrp of $189 and will ship at least 4 months later. It is fine they release on kickstarter they just need to know what other companies price their kickstarters at. You would expect at least 45-55% off for super early backer maybe limited to 200 units then gradual decrease in discount. they can at least offer both baskets instead of survey add-on$
I agree
THIRTEEN minutes.
It is what it is
