    Woah! Now that was a fun and explosive podcast 😮😅.....
    The Donovan Mitchell stuff for a lack of better terms has been "chaotic"....
    Brian Windhurst for the last two days reported the Heat Lakers and Brooklyn were listed as the "top" suitors to get Mitchell and heard from various sources that Mitchell was either very dissatisfied and not signing an extension to liking the Cavs and wanting to stay....
    Mitchell's time in Cleveland has been a mixed unbalanced bag with his contract extension weighing over the Cavs like a heavy shadow....
    Plus the Shams article detailed a lot of negative stuff with the Cavs being very unsatisfied coach JB, Mitchell calling out his teammates for not being able to follow his lead effectively, Jarret Allen getting negative feedback from his teammates and staff for not taking an injection to play through his rib injury, and to top all this chaos, Darius Garland and his agent will likely seek a trade if Mitchell stays because he doesn't feel like he's being properly utilized....😮
    Now regardless of the full validity of that report what is true is the coach is likely gone, Darius Garland has a high chance of leaving if Mitchell stays and if Mitchell stays it's because of the financial capital 💰 he can make but this trading saga with him is FAR from over.....

  • @jonathanoscategui2678
    @jonathanoscategui2678 Před 27 dny +1

    If Mitchell signs an extension with the Cavs and the Cavs fail to find a second star to pair with him and the Cavs have a bad season next year, I could see trade offers for him back on the table especially if Miami Lakers and Brooklyn do nothing significant this summer....

    Injuries, to key players, have always had an impact on the outcome of a team's success. If the Cavaliers starting center, Jarrett Allen and guard Donovan Mitchell were healthy and played in all of the games against the Celtics, in the playoffs, the outcome would've, possibly, been better than what they showed in their defeat. I think that Spida enjoy being the leader of the Cavs. He has the juice to influence change. I think the Cavs invested too much in him not make every effort to accommodate his wishes. Since the they have his Bird rights, they could give him a max deal (5 year $269.9 million dollar contract) that wont be matched by any other franchise. That should weigh heavy on his mind. The power of big money is always a major factor in decisions.He's built up a huge fan base, in Cleveland, and I'm sure he doesn't want to walk away from them disgruntled. That would tarnish his brand. There hasn't been any concrete proof that he want to leave Cleveland. If he does, it will more likely be for the Lakers and definitely not the mess in Brooklyn.

      @claudesmith9422 Good morning Claude. Like I said last night the only reason Mitchell would stay on the Cavs is if they gave him the biggest contract in Cavs history 💰 and throw the bank at him. But he's not staying because he loves Cleavland or enjoys being in a smaller market.
      Plus looking at the Cavs roster construction around Mitchell even if Allen was available it wouldn't have made a difference because him and Mobley have been an inconsistent pairing and Garland was way too passive in this series which frustrated Mitchell. And their bench was non-existent for half the playoffs where they were relying on vets Morris and Thompson to contribute.......
      If the Cavs don't find a co-star for Mitchell and the Cavs have an underwhelming season next year the teams such as the Heat Lakers and Brooklyn will have their offers ready to put on the table....
      It feels inevitable that Mitchell will be on a new team in the near future....

      @@jonathanoscategui2678 The things that the Cavs have to work out is mild compared to the dysfunction in Brooklyn. Considering the the $323 in luxury taxes Tsai has paid with nothing to show for it makes the Nets look like the laughing stock of the league. The mistakes Marks made, in additional to not being able to get anything out of the big three is the biggest failure in the franchise's history and probably in the history of the league. The Harden for Simmons trade was a fiasco of epic proportion that the Nets will have to pay for until the end of next season. The Nets will still have Marks trying to figure out how to be a competent GM in the Nets future. I'll take the Cavs problems over the Nets mess any day. I'll bet anyone that the Cavs will get their house in order before the Nets get theirs in order. The Nets will be in a mess for a long time. The Cavs will make the playoffs next season...with Spida in their rotation. If not, he'll be with the Lakers. There's nothing to gain by him being a part of the train wreck in Brooklyn.

      @@claudesmith9422 Based off of the Shams report the other night the Cavs have dysfunction all over their roster. Donovan Mitchell is not going to stay in the Cavs long term even with the extension if they can't find a co-star to pair with him.
      Brooklyn had a bad dysfunctional season but next season is a new season to get better and improve. More importantly in 2025 Brooklyn will have a lot of cap space and valuable draft picks to make bigger moves and improve this team.
      Even if Brooklyn has a change of heart and wants to do a longer rebuild, Brooklyn has valuable pieces on this team that other organizations want and would be willing to part with important draft capital for them....
      Brooklyn may feel like they are in purgatory right now but eventually they will get out of it my friend 😁....

  • @jonathanoscategui2678
    @jonathanoscategui2678 Před 27 dny

    Again to reiterate if Donovan Mitchell stays it's because of the financial capital he can get if the Cavs are desperate enough to throw the full bank at his feet 💰💰💰💰....
    But if the Cavs somehow can't turn Darius Garland and Jarret Allen who NBA central reported could both be on the trade block this summer into a second star player to team up with Mitchell it would only be a matter of time until Mitchell and that extension go to another team......

    Why would Mitchell resign with the Nets he's trying to win, and Cleveland is already a better team . Also, Cavs would want to recoup assests they gave up to get him how does Brooklyn offer a package without giving up everything .
    The bottom line is that the Nets need to rebuild , fire the GM, or sell the team because the owner is clueless .

    Blaming Mikal Bridges as a main reason for this team's failure is illogical 😂...
    Let's all remember that Ben Simmons Cam Thomas Cam Johnson Lonnie Walker and Dennis Smith Jr all missed significant time this season while Bridges played EVERY game 😮....
    It can be argued that Bridges playing those extra minutes for his teammates played a factor into him being fatigued and very out of rhythm on a team full of inconsistent role players....
    Now in that same regard Mikal Bridges does need to bounce back next season and have a more focused mindset and prove he can be a consistent player for this team regardless of the changes that happen to this roster....

    Now let's say Donovan Mitchell stays but Darius Garland and Jarret Allen could both be available this summer. This would fall under the plan B strategy...
    Before Mitchell came to the team Garland was a fun upcoming young guard in this league with lots of potential. But in the last year and a half he's become very passive and his numbers have dipped significantly and this was a bad playoff run for him as a whole...
    Now if Garland got a chance to be a key option on another team could he rediscover that magic? Maybe but I need to see it to believe it because right now Garland isn't playing like a top or even second option right now.
    Now when it comes to Jarret Allen he's grown and improved so much as a center in this league and has become more balanced as a player..
    Now regardless of his two mixed playoff seasons with the Cavs, Allen has been a solid regular season big and depending on Claxton's future with this team Brooklyn should definitely keep their eyes on Allen's situation in Cleveland and see if he becomes available because Brooklyn needs to upgrade that center position eventually....
