  • How to diagnose spark issues, how to fix spark issues.
This is part 2 of the project. So far it's been looking like a list cause however it's now starting to show some promise although we won't know how much until ive done a better carb clean and put it back together.
Possibly start up in a couple of days.

    Thanks

KAPOWW -- Well done mate. I'm wondering if that spark was a bit orange? Dunno though. Glad you got a spark though - brilliant.

It looked pretty white, it looked strong i thought. I'll throw on the air filter and box and turn it over properly tomorrow. Never know might get it running.

When I had a Triumph Sprint they are prone to killing the rectifier and was told to cut the 3 yellow stator wires block off and re-connect it for better connection and was told it makes no difference what way round the wires are

Oh really Vince, that's probably saved me so much time and worry. I wasn't sure what order to put them in.
I think this bike will start with the air box on so I'll give it a shot later. Thanks for the info. That's a great thing to know.

In the end I had to buy a new set of carns, nothing I did to the originals would work smoothly. It ran great in the end though
