At first I was skeptical and thought it's a copy of what everyone else has posted. But actually this seems very original, well done sir.
This is really well done and wouldn't even have thought it was of wood! Very professional looking and one can always swap out a PS if it fails! This gives me some great ideas for the four power supplies I had just bought!! I'm gonna combine the 4 PS units at 50 amps each to create one output source of 12 volts and upto 200 amps. Thanx for the cool video! 👍

ah! now this is so much better then your oct 1 2017 first power box build.. Being an old man that has liked to work with his hands all his life , I enjoy watching you build.. (ooo ooo nice compresor did you use an old fridge part for that one? They work ok for small jobs for sure) Oh dang I thought you were going to show me how to print onto clear acrylic.. rats!... White and red wires? not the green and black for you on off switch? they must used different colours across the pond Green is the on and red is the 5 volt line.. white is used in the older psu's and I have forgotten what it was used for it's been s long. Oh hell! how slick are you!!! Well have another Goldhand on me! I am right at the beginning of building my next power supply (the old one is getting tired out.. to many years on it) You have given me some bright new ideas!!! thanks Mirko!
Yes......White wire is connected to Green Power On of the PSU through the Female connector , you can see this clearly at 5:15 by skipping freeze frames after pausing.

A great way to use old PC PSU's. Not sure I would want to use wood to cover something that can handle such large currents! Be aware, PC power supplies share their neutral/negative with earth/ground, which professional bench PSUs dont.
I'm new to this and I'm just getting a handle on how the mod works like I hooked up the green wire to ground and used the yellow wire to get 12 volts but that's the extent of my experience. What are th3 hazards of negative voltage sharing with the ground. The concept of negative volts is a bit slippery to me as well. I read that their numbers are how mamy volts they are bellow ground. I assume you could use this to subtract Positive volts from one of the 12,5, or 3 volt lines to give a voltage other than those 3 but I can't confirm this with the info I have found so far. Sorry if this I'd a super basic questiom I just thought asking would be a good way to get a handle on t be concept.
@@mosotogari in the case that you want to power a something that has a short between earth and negative that means that you will blow a fuse in the psu wouldn't you?

Pwm controller is the key for 775dc motor. It always shutdown psu but with pwm controller it is working all year round without problems.
@@clueless3891 yeah already used a bts7960 for that but still can't beat it
Using arduino to control for one direction spin but when changing the direction the PSU shut down(ripple current/oc protection)...
I'm not an expert in electronics though and learned that you need to put some resistor(input) for load and avoid ocp from triggering or you can just remove it..So what should I do?

does the voltage regulator board have more than one regulator on it? I'm counting at least three if not four. why so many?

A fabulous video looks very versatile and marvellous. But I did not need to be shown how to make a box. I need to know what goes where and perhaps a simple circuit diagram. All I see is a series of high speed actions with a screwdriver and connecting together of plugs, and spray gun and labels. However if I look at the video carefully frame by frame and use my imagination and experience I probably can sort all this out. Probably I could have done this easier without bothering to carefully examine the video. How did the leds for the display get hooked up? Did you have a template for the label? do not worry I will create my own.

Da, prakticno kad stavis regulator na 12V granu mozes fino da stelujes napon od 0-12V a sve pratis na malom displeju (V, W, A)
Tako je moguce da se zakace malo jaci dc motori, tipa 775, koji bi ugasili napajanje ako se direktno povezu, plus dobijes kontrolu obrtaja motora 😁

-12V yes but because of the small amperage it has very limited use

If fan doesn't spin when you bypass green and black wire than something is wrong with psu.
