With all the serious takes on Dracula movies, who in the world would have wanted Renfield to be a serious take too? It's perfect for what it is.
No one did. They want to see nick cage in a serious Dracula movie. So when people see nick cage as a vampire that’s what they hope for.
@@Emeraldtrinket When people see Nic Cage as a vampire they should know exactly what to expect.... "I AM A VAMPIAH! I AM A VAMPIAH! I AM A VAMPIAH!"
@@SomewhatSlightlyBored definitely not true. There are people who love the over the top performances. There are also a large part of his fan base that wants to see him act. They know what he’s capable of and want to see him do a role justice.
The people who will watch Longlegs want to see a Dracula movie with him where it’s taken seriously.
@@Emeraldtrinket The movie was written as a dark comedy. Be sad all you want but you should google Dunning-Krueger syndrome for insight into projecting your opinion onto the entire population.
Right?? My daughter and I enjoyed the hell out of it.
...nothing about the Deadpool end credits was 'wtf'. It was EXACTLY the kind of metahumor both Deadpool AND Ryan Reynolds are known for.
You took the words right out of my keyboard. It's one of the best end credit scenes ever.
What's happened to WhatCulture lately? They used to be informative and fun fact/trivia videos, but now the priority seems to be uninformed commentary. The mid-video request to comment just reinforces that the goal is now "shocking" hot takes.
Seeing Henry Cavill in a mullet acting like a dork was worth the confusion overall. I love when he gets to have fun
The scene makes a lot more sense if you just imagine it's Cavill playing himself in that bit.
Crank had no gamer vibes? The guy literally had to keep getting power ups and fighting his way up through levels. Both Crank movies WERE video games on film.
I remember Ferris Buehler's Day Off. It changed everything.
Just go home.
What
@@iangray1980 it's finished. GO
@@iangray1980 the original (I think) post-credit scene. Deadpool paid tribute to it (in a bathrobe).
@@michaelmerrell8540 what does that have to do with what you said
When I saw Split, I had no idea that there even was a post-credits scene. When it happened, and connected back to one of my favorite movies... freaking phenomenal. I was so hyped.
Crank had no gamer-y vibes? Obviously the writer hasn't seen it.
I was going to say. The plot literally sounds like a 2002-2004 game 😂
Literally GTA
Clearly, going with Jason Statham over Chev Chelios.
@@M.H3ndr1ks Right? They only say his memorable name about 100 times in that movie.
The post credit scene was also playing off the fact that the cover story his character told the GF was that he was a game developer and not actually a hit man, or what ever he was in the movie.
First off, Renfield was a great movie. Secondly, I can’t disagree more with the sentiment held for the number one pick. Hitler was pure evil, so why not have him be the (intended) next evil person the Kingsmen took down?
Because he still has living victims, today. It's kind of like the difference between grave robbing and archaeology.
Genghis Khan? Sure, make a villain out of him.
Hitler? Not so much.
I think the whole context of the Kingsmen and their alt-right fever-dream reality (where Hitler and Lenin were somehow 'chums' and the British Empire, despite being one of history's greatest evils *even in the context of the film* is 'good' actually) came to a head in that scene, and people kind of noticed that it was particularly crap.
@@montyr2083 go outside
Mediocre, maybe even good but not great.
Renfield was better than I’d thought it would be. Wasn’t terrible, wasn’t great. Did a job.
Lowlight? LOWLIGHT?!?!?!?!
Renfield was Cinema Gold and I accept no slander of it!!!
Nicolas Cage was awesome as Dracula
If anyone is wondering; Muppets Take Manhattan has the first ever End Credit Scene.
The Silencers (1966).
SPLIT did have a twist in so much that The Beast was real and a physical transformation of Kevin's body rather than just a mental one.
Crank DID have video game ties. Jason Statham's character told his girlfriend that his job was a video game programer.
For me the biggest shock was the post credit scene in TV series Sharp Objects 🤯🤯
Yes! I love when WhatCulture has a person whose VO doesn't contain a weird over inflection that goes on for far too long at the end of the sentence.
Wait....wasn't this list for bad post-credit scenes? Because some of these were pretty good!
Not bad ones exclusively, just ones that made us go “WTF”, in some way. Whether for good or bad. I misunderstood the title as well when I first watched the video.
That Flaming Moe's reference was brilliant! Here's your comment.
Renfield was rad!
Lethal Weapon 3. One of the first end credits scenes, I think.
Vulture left the MCU thanks to the collider from the Spider-Verse..
Post credits scenes are usually annoying because it requires you to wait to see the end of the movie. If it's a funny easter egg that's optional, it's not so bad. Not sure why they became required.
How was Argyle hard to follow? The damn preview told you it was a world within a world format.
Edit: even my mom who only saw a third of the movie picked up it was a guy that looked like the character.
II really should have stopped when you bad mouthed Renfield.
Fun fact: I've always stayed for all the credits, since the first time in the 80s. I saw many bonus bits over the years, bjut then the MCU brought it to the mainstream, and I no longer am alone when I'm searching cinema seats for dropped pick'n'mix.
😑
"Hello. My name is Adolf."
"Yikes."
"Adolf Coors."
"Would you, um, like to go for a beer?"
Jason Statham’s character in crank his name was Chev Chelios and he said that was his name at the beginning of the movie
He literally says in the video that he knows the character has a name. He just thinks its funny to pretend that its just Jason Statham.
1. argylle wasn't a horrible movie, it was pretty fun overall
2. the post credits scene also involved a callback to Vaughns other project the kingsman where it made it more "confusing" if argylle was real or not. Surprised you didn't include that scene
Don't make the super suit green! ****OR ANIMATED!!!!****
The gamey part of Crank is a one off line where he says he's a video game developer
Well, I enjoyed Argylle
I liked the green lantern? Guess im one of the few.
I still dont get that Morbius post credit scene, was Michael Keaton really that desperate for money? I even remember him being interviewed and saying that hed just filmed a scene for a major Marvel movie, was he just trolling us or did he really believe that?
I actually liked Argylle! I saw it with my mom and we had a really good time!
I liked Argylle too :).
There should be notice at the end of the film, before the credits start rolling that says whether there is a post credit scene coming up, giving you the choice to wait for it or not.
Morbius WAS the worst Spider-Man adjacent movie until Madame Web came into existence. Hell at least Morbius could be looked at with humor.
I found Argyle to be pretty funny. Especially the parts where they dance. Doubly so the parts where not Henry Caville is shown lifting up a Bryce Dallas Howard that looks like she hasnt worked out or done cardio since her first movie. Not even Superman could do that. And the ice skating gun scene was hilarious. Just saying, she doesn't fit the build of an action star.
Thowin shade.
Nice.
I actually really enjoyed Morbius. I find it strange how every movie lately has to suck. Then only later does it get respected. I think Mornius is a awesome film.
The very first post credit scene i ever saw was in Ferris Buller day off, the second one was in one of the Lethal Weapons movies, I can not remember if it was 2 or 3, but the beginning scene was where they go to try to disarm a bomb, just for it to not work where they barely escaped. The Post credit scene they arrive at another location, and right before they could do anything it exploded and you see them taking off.
I unironically *LOVE* _'Morbius'!_ ❤️
I know you mentioned it as a joke, but his characters name was Chev Chelios. I know this because Crank 1 and 2 are my favourite movies and I watched them religiously 😂😂😂
The Crank thing was just supposed to be a cute joke, not a hint at his fate.
If Hitler can be in a Tarantino movie and we all have a good time with it, why not the Kingsman franchise?
Nick Fury started the cinema obsession with post credit scenes in Iron Man? Didn't your first entry come out in 2006, 2 years earlier?
I watched the King's Man on a flight once and there were issues with playback around the time Rasputin tried to sleep with the young kid and they had to electrocute him. I wasnt even mad at the issues because the movie had just gotten too weird for me at that point and I said "Yea I dont need to ever finish that movie". So I never got to the Hitler reveal lmfao
You "deeply deeply love" Matrix Resurrections? Well that explains this whole video in an instant. Oh and Split isn't a secret twist sequel to Unbreakable, it's the same universe, that really is a different thing.
I love A Long Kiss Goodnight
Missing the point of The Catrix entirely isn't a surprise. The entire movie is a meta commentary on how terrible WB is as a company. They were making it with or without Lana Wachowski, so the game developers are a metaphor for the executives/producers of the movie. IE: The Matrix is just as irrelevant as cat memes.
6:45 I & many of my friends enjoyed this part of the story of Argyle because of the silly nature of the film. The either copying or nod to the first Kingsmen film in many ways just made this little tease more fitting & fun. Sequel bait anyone?
Then ironically enough the year after The Matrix Resurrections had a video game about a Cat which was nominated for Game of the Year (Stray).
You “deeply love” Matrix Resurrection?
You have f***ing ZERO credit with me now.
I love it too, obviously not as much as the original 😊
Bye
Ya I know right?!😂 this dude has horrible taste. Matrix Resurrection was a dumpster fire PoS movie.
I knew Kingsman would be on here.
The Kingsman
Oh come on now. Wokfenstein did it 32 years ago (…yeah, I felt like I was guarding a room of cups for centuries when I googled that…)
And Inglourious Basterds did it with the Tarrentino-verse well before Marvel dipped into making Multiverse a household concept
I’m down for the Kingsmanverse take on tearing apart their version of a real world monster
The Morbius scene made no sense at all because the suit he had was made from Chitauri tech...which they did not have in that universe, and the Tinkerer made it. The suit couldn't have been transported with him, did they keep it at the prison he was at in the main universe just for fun and that's why it went with him? That was the most ridiculously bad post credit scene ever.
Good lord. Settle down nerds.
Meh for video... but does anyone remember one of these before Ferris Bueller?
Hi. Question not related to the video. Why is there not an option to Save to Watch Later on this vid? Anyone? Thanks.
I personally loved madame web and I have disagreed with a lot of the thoughts on this list and the one listed a couple days later
Imagine thinking that Nicolas Cage didn't absolutely *love* "hamming it up" in Renfield. Have you ever paid attention to anything about Nic Cage? 😂
I completely agree. The movie (The King's Man) wasn't all that good to begin with. prequels rarely are. But Hitler, and the mustache was changed to try to reduce the look?
Chev Chelios ….. Will return
You love Matrix Resurrections? Are you ok buddy?
Nothing wrong with Renfield.
I would've preferred if they didn't lean into making it an action movie. A horror comedy would've fit the characters just fine but making Renfield an action hero just made it obvious Universal was trying to chase Marvel's coattails again, just with Deadpool vibes instead of the MCU (with Tom Cruise's Mummy). All in all I still enjoyed the film though.
Man talks about an affront to taste after having lauded Nicholas Cage as an actor and talking about ironic misinterpretation of internet talk about a subject....
So Cage is a great actor, Morbius was crap but you love Matrix Resurrections! WTF!
Chev Chelios.
I mostly go to "artsy films." I find it funny how even at those films people are now conditioned to wait for a post-credit scene. What are the chances that this three-hour-long Danish meditation on death and longing has a post-credit stinger?
Isn't sitting through the credits on "artsy" films more to actually read the credits and show respect to everyone who worked on them?
I don’t care wha this is about; I see Amy “My future baby mama” Smart, i click.
Yes, she seems fun
And you wonder why people take the piss out of this channel.
Script writers clearly don't watch all the movie son the list, the readers have become smarmy and self-important depsit enobody knowing who the hell they are.
Funny that the announcer finds introducing Hitler as a villain egregious when movies like Jojo Rabbit and Inglorious Bastards have taken their own liberties with him, and the paid off. Lesson here: never trust someone who sounds unsure of if he locked his front door every time he speaks. I’ve never heard that many inflection changes since I watched a Seinfeld compilation. At least that was on purpose.
nah dude... some of these movies are bad, but they weren't that bad
BRING BACK ADAM BLAMPIED!!!!
🎥🍿🎬🎞🧙🏻♂
I'm not saying Morbius is a good movie but it's not THAT bad. It's just forgettable. Really bad movies are not forgettable.
The memes are a part of the movie's legacy
Therefore, it is not forgettable
Why you talking about Morbius? IIRC, that movie wasn't on this list.
@@astroturfmatador9119 Ummm, yes it was.
@@claymccoy I guess you missed the joke.
@@astroturfmatador9119 Morbius? What's that?
Morbius biggest problem was just how incredibly boring it was.
OK, I disagreed with a lot of things you said and then you said how much you loved matrix resurrection wow I will need to avoid your opinions altogether
I never saw the credit scene, but could Crank possibly be the cinema version of the soul of action games?
Omg u think Renfield and Argylle r bad but u “deeply love” Matrix Resurrection ?!…🤣….that movie was absolute 🐶💩….gawd u have bad taste in movies 🤣
Can't believe you read the line aloud, and you made it number one. That was a choice.
Genocidal Tyrant? LOL. Ironic because Israel has taken that title.
The only downside to Renfield was Aquafina. Shouting is not acting. That aside, Nic was clearly having an absolute blast making that film.
You can't say "shouting isn't acting" then co-sign Nicolas Cage
@@BerylliumGold Nic can do a hell of a lot more than just yell. In Willy’s Wonderland he doesn’t utter a single word and he communicates perfectly. Aquafina is a one trick pony and the trick isn’t enough to keep her interesting for 5 minutes, let alone an entire film… much less every single role to date.
Want to quickly and easily ruin your movie? Cast Jared Leto.
I didn't really find the scene amusing where Deadpool kills Ryan Reynolds before he does the Green lantern movie cuz the ramifications of that is his children are never born and as well as it's a paradox cuz then he never does the Deadpool movie either.
I think you need to go outside a little more often.
Far from home post credit scene reveal was ridiculous. What's the point of a secret identity, when he took his mask off every time he spoke.
Matrix Resurrections was made for the sake of it, for money or as a bet, is all I can imagine. I thought the monologue from the end of #2 was the low point of the franchise, but then they managed to make an entire movie of a low point.
You guys do know Crank was a game first right…?
CRANK & CRANK 2
suck
Is because of AVI ARAD that KRAVEN, BORDERLANDS and VENOM 3 will have the same fate MORBIUS had
Chet chelios
Scream 6 was such a disappointment on several fronts. The whole rules didn't even make sense as nothing she said was actually right.
I thought it was exceptionally better than 5 though
@@keithratel6590 Well, that's just personal preference. I liked the action but the reveals just didn't do it for me and everything was inconsistent following the opening scene.
I loved the Morbius movie. It was different from Marvel's light hearted hero movies.
Pretty much every MCU post credit is WTF at this point
RYAN REYNOLDS
isn't funny
his writers are funny
ANY ACTOR
could've played
DEADPOOL
His content is good, I just can't listen to Ewan changing t's to d's anymore! WTF is Twidder? Same when I see his name on the UBP, UBP, the UBP! Don't know why it get's to me so much. Sorry Ewan!
I loved Morbius, so back off ❤
Post credit scenes is a automatic bad review from me once I get the chance to leave a review.
