    Great review! Quick question though, what are the barrel thread directions on this gun and what is the after market tracer that you used? Was thinking of getting a Lighter BT but thought a longer tracer would do the mp7 justice. Thanks!

    • @BlackEmeraldTacticalOfficial
      @BlackEmeraldTacticalOfficial  Před 2 lety

      Hi mate thanks for that! I'll look to add the details on the video. The tracer is a Angrygun QD ACETECH Gen 2 VFC tracer. It works with the GBB & AEG version.
      12mm CW/CCW flasj which fits onto the MP7.

    How big a battery pack is there room enough for?
    I am hoping for a Li-Po 11.1 volt at 1100-1300 mah?
    Please give me advice as i am thinking hard about buying it as it seems very sturdy

    When I saw your gen1 review past 1 hr before I stopped the purchase of gen1 … I told me I have see more review before go for it 😅😅😅 you have a game play how is on the field? Use 7.4v or 11.1v??

    • @BlackEmeraldTacticalOfficial
      @BlackEmeraldTacticalOfficial  Před 2 lety +1

      The gen/version 2 is much better so if you do buy one check the details on the product first. The version 2 is recommended with a 7.4v battery.
      We'll be getting some shooting vids up soon so stay tuned 😁

    i picked up one of these and ive been troubleshooting the issues and if you dont mind i have a few simple tips and steps to making this unit as reliable as possible for people to come across here.
    These tips are only recommendations and depends on the ambient temperature here you live.
    0. ASIA VERSION doesn't have the gearbox tension reset button, we have a micro mosfet instead that insures full cyles with a charged battery. If it locks up its because the heat protection tripped if fullauto doesn't fix it right away, stop pulling the trigger, sling your mp7 and switch to side arm until you get a chance to properly address the lockup. See next tip.
    1. use an externally held battery.
    A design flaw that comes with the gearbox, motor and battery all in one compartment, is heat accumulates quickly. The micro mosfet has a sensor that will cut operation, hence the gearbox lockup that cant be fixed by shooting in full auto.. but its a primitive micro mosfet and there will still be power drawn from the battery when the trigger is pulled, generating even more heat, The cascade of events with the typical consumer constantly pulling the trigger will lead to a catastrophic failure.
    It's pretty easy to route the male tamiya connector through the big holes on eitherside. Mount a battery pack peqbox on top or side rail for external storage. A benefit to this is you can use a bigger battery.
    2. 7.4v batteries only, and try to charge it only to 4.10 per cell. This will reduce heat generation.
    3. Completely optional, but will greatlyincrease the longevityof the unit. if you are using this unit exclusively for cqb and dont mind a minor fps loss. downgrade the cylinder spring to m95.
    this will reduce overal stress on the gearbox everytime it windsup a shot reducing the power needed to cycle a shot.

      Looking to get one soon, would you recommend them ? I’m seeing both good and bad stories about them. Not really any reviews on gen 2 versions. Thanks

    • @pyroromancer
      @pyroromancer Před 5 měsíci

      @@adamjprice14 i would steer clear, i only recommend this for advanced technically proficient consumers. The performance and trigger response is comparable to a cheap entry level AEG, but depending where you live because of shipping costs and taxes, this unit has a mid-premium level price. The value is just not there.
      if you must absolutely have this particular unit, and are willing to shell out an additional $20-100 to opening one up, void warranty, regrease the internals, downgrade the spring, mount an external battery compartment, i say pull the trigger. Remember the number one cause of death of this unit is catastrophic heat accumulation.

    i have had my gen 2 for about 8 months and have shot over 12k bb's and use a 11.1v lipo havent had any problems really, only had 1 jam and i just pressed the button on top and it fixed it. i have noticed if you dont fully press the trigger the gearbox doens't fully cycle so it doesn't shoot but this is more of a user error and it has happend maybe twice. Beware of what bb's you use tho i use point blank or novritch bb's and they work great! But 101 inc bb's had a hard time going in the magazine and im pretty sure if you feed this in the gun it could damage it so if it doesn't go in smooth don't use the bb's. Also another tip if your magazines don't feed you cant sand the followers down a little bit and it fixes the issue completely. Overal its an amazing gun and i recommend it. The range is also verry good for the size with .28g bb's. It reaches a good 50 - 60 meters.

      @KnightHerobrine Před 2 lety

      i have the 1.0 joule version so this may be a factor why its working verry well on 11.1v less stress on internals i assume

      I have a 1 joule mp7 gen 2 and was wondering if there is an fps /rof difference between the 7.4 and 11.1 - I haven’t dared to try it yet lol as mine specifically states to only use a 7.4

    Nice review!
    I bought the Umarex/VFC MP7A1 GEN 2 AEG because of your 1st review of the issues of the GEN 1... :/
    For this replica, i use only 7.4v Lipo and it's perfect for me, 10k of bb's with my MP7A1 GEN 2 AEG and no issues at all, boringly reliable :)
    The only "cons" with this MP7A1 AEG, the price of the magazine (34€ in France !!!) and...they're look very toyish, the plastic is not very appealing visually ; but they lock in the magwell, work and feed very well, no issues with them.
    Thank you again for your great reviews !
    Greetings from France

      @BlackEmeraldTacticalOfficial  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you very much that means Alot! Yeah I do understand, it's reliably boring, it does the job without any real issues and it does them well.
      The gearbox release is really useful. I agree with you on the magazines. They're really cheap looking but carry an unnecessary expense.
