Like so many others, I just learned of his death earlier today. But I remember him solely as an actor. I had NO IDEA that he was a singer and sang this incredibly important song from my childhood! This song accompanied me through more heartaches and breakups than I care to recall. But it was the song that was my everpresent companion.
