    Dude! I used to do this all the time! I was trained classically since age 5 on piano then learned percussion and drums! Recently, went to conservatory for percussion and realized it wasn't for me! This is so inspiring! I'm going to try to follow in your footsteps! Thank you for all the great videos so far!

    two people twisted their fingers and still managed to click the thumbs down button.
    I like that basic teaching stuff. It's much better than people showing off,
    what they can create with a Maschine without giving you any real basic tips. Next time you'll demonstrate how to do it with our feet and after that video you'll show it all together using a maschine for each foot and hand. And the last video of the basic training is using the nose so you can play 5 Maschines.

  • @jeremyellismusic

    If you've played piano that long, this should be very easy. People without piano experience might find this hard, but everyone has their own skill level, of course. I literally taught piano exercises like this to 6-8 yr olds and they got it just fine, so there's that. Strangely enough, some adults find it to be difficult if they have had no musical background. Glad you're excelling, Cameron! Most of my videos should be pretty easy for you, but I bet a few will give you a hard time:) Cheers.

    @jeremyellismusic you may want to check "pulse midi controller", it's just perfect for desktop bangin :)

    Yeah I moved from the MPD 24 to Maschine and they are WAY more sensitive. Dynamically you can really accomplish anything

    If anyone here is interested in more finger dexterity and coordination exercises, look up Greg Irwin's finger fitness videos. You can also look up Digitz tutorials for other drills to add to your repertoire.
    Happy finger banging!

    Mine are no different than anyone else's. The new Maschines are slightly more sensitive than the originals, and the originals are far more sensitive than MPC pads. That being said, none of them achieve as well as the best keyboards or a real piano. I generally set the velocity range to be quite small, so I can play softly/gently and still get the full bang out of each sound, with a few exceptions. Example: If I'm playing acoustic drum sample kits, I leave the full range on. Good luck!

    @Az4ezl Před 11 lety

    hey jeremy, i started out on the mpc 1000 and moved up to using maschine mk2. I noticed that the maschine pads are far more sensitive. The mpc pads are still responsive but i have to bang em alot harder cus they are pretty worn and used, would it still be benificial to practice on it ? Thanks !

    Hey Jeremy, I heard you say in an interview your Maschine's are "super high sensitivity," Now I set mine all the way to most sensitive, but don't seem to be the same. Are yours customly different, being sponsored by NI and all? Or is there another way I can get super sensitive ones?

    For some reason the rolling inward thing feels ridiculously unnatural. Apparently my natural roll is from left to right, my left hand rolls from piney to thumb and my right hand rolls from thumb to piney...
