See the sub, there's a post with all the proof. The movie started filming May 1992 & completed July 1992. It was ready for distribution by September 1992. Carl Crew was on the tabloid talkshow The Maury Povich Show on Sept 28 1992, talking about his negotiations with 5 distributers. That's all online too. There was also a newspaper article from the Hanford Sentinel California dated September 11 1992, reporting that the film was complete and the producers Cinema Partners Film were seeking distributers. The film was released Jan 1 1993. TCM also have the filming & release dates. Interestingly, Carl Crew claims he based his script from the police interviews, but he wouldn't have had access to those before the so called trial ended, that would be confidential. Our guess is he wrote the whole script for this fake news show. But what matters is not the release date, but the date the filming ended.
