RIP Scott Weiland. Such a loss.
It is :(
A tragedy
Aren’t you from tiktok?
I wish somebody could have helped him. I know some tried.
Whaaaaaa. When did this happen?
Literally one of the best rock songs ever...
BIG FACTS!
Its so short and simple and yet it grabs you
Baddest rock song ever IMO....
This song is all about rock
@@Dragracer612 HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA that was funny.
The DeLeo brothers are severely underrated in the history of rock music.
Agreed.
Criminally i would say 😢
I couldn't agree more. Robert is as good as they come as a bass player and Dean should be making the top guitarist list consistently. The riffs they both came up with for the STP songs are amazing.
Ahh there it is. The word underrated. Easily the most overused word on CZcams.
@@ivanjulian2532 If you have an argument against THIS usage, make it.
Scott’s voice was absolutely incredible
The different levels he achieved so well was astounding. What an unreal unique talent.
It’s incredible how much it changed due to drug use. So sad
@@sarahg2643no it’s not sad. This was the life he dreamt of.
Rock vocal perfection.
You mean IS.
Damn his voice sounds good on this one.
Stern has an excellent sound system set up.
Because he wasn't binge drinking and high = great voice plus equipment/environment doesn't hurt either.
@Mark of Yah whatever notes he sings are the notes
He was always a great singer....even drug up.....the unplugged was amazing
Reverb helps..... still awsome though
Kids nowdays don't realise what a great rock singer Clint Eastwood was.
And Clint Eastwood's son is named scott.. mind blown?
I thought that was pauly shore
Haha...made me laugh out loud. :)
thecaveofthedead stay off his lawn
I was thinking the same thing. Lol
Very little is said about Robert DeLeo. He wrote most of STPs hits including this song. His bass playing is sublime. He pays homage to Blues, Jazz and fusion. Not to mention backup vocals. STP is nothing without Robert.
Very underrated. Dean DeLeo his brother, also created some of the greatest guitar riffs for STP. STP is one of the best rock bands ever.
Rick Beato just put out a great interview with Robert DeLeo.
Good points but saying they’re nothing without him is absolutely ludicrous.
@@kylekavanagh2869 it's kinda true though, he wrote most of the songs. That being g said all 4 musicians are incredibly talented.....
I'm a bass player myself and trust me when I tell you, he's a monster bass player. Very underrated.
They were worried about how good it will sound and they simply killed it effortlessly
Well u know, they hear things we don't lol
SLIDE GUITAR LICK. STILL F..KING EPIC!
I love STP, don't get me wrong, but that's not a great performance. The guitar doesn't sound good and the tempo is really slow compared to the original.
This song sounds like cruising down the pacific coast highway at 90mph with the top down and the sun beating down smelling the ocean salt from the waves and the wind rushing past your face
I know exactly what you mean. My best friend and I would drive down PCH and blast STP. Good times.
I agree except for the 90 mph part. You gotta cruise slow enough to enjoy the view.
liligman Just think, you can do that now. Roads are clear! What a world. Great song and image.
90!??! Jesus man
so poetic.
2024 and stil Waiting for a band of this caliber....
Don't be holding yer breath
In my opinion, one of the most underrated bands of their time.
Definitely
100 %
they still are underrated ppl think of grunge and automatically go to nirvana or A.I.C but imo this is the best band
OMG...so true!
you're obviously gen z
This footage is so precious. Pure rock'n roll. No gimmicks and played with the wrong guitar. Still sounded awesome. Miss you Scott Weiland.
Wrong guitar lol. Utter nonsense.
@@Fearzero there is no such thing as a wrong guitar for interstate
Nah, Les Paul special with p90’s is the guitar sound of Interstate.
@@Fearzero It’s the wrong guitar for Interstate because of the higher action. (Setup for a slide)
@@alecalfaras5936 lmao that lp doesn't have p90s
Purple was one of the greatest rock albums of the '90s. Of all time, really. It still holds up.
The second album, 12 gracious melodies.
Throw a tack on the road stop the meatplow.
Yep. Interstate love song might even be the greatest song ever written.
True is dat.
my go to get er done album. fucking kicks ass!
Forget the moves like Jagger. I want moves like Weiland
I hope to one day be able to wiggle like Weiland.
@Dane Owens YYYYYEEEESSSS👍👍👍👍
Dane Owens nobody is like Jagger dearie, but Scott was badass!!!
So right
Some of the greats all have this femine dance quality. Jagger, Plant, Tyler,
Heroin took 2 of the greatest Rock voices of the past 60 years. Weiland and Staley. Miss them both.
We let this poison enter USA ?
Cobain?
@@executenwordusersHim too.
Ya Mum
AMEN!!!
This band doesn't get the kudos it deserves, one of the best ever!
It always upsets me that "the big four" isn't the big five because STP 100% belongs!
we're all here still watching and commenting, after 20 years, lol.
@@paulweston8408 top 5 def.. Nirvana stp aic sg pj👌
Grateful he was ever here at all..
That's a very nice thing to say. I was pressed against the barrier in Columbus Ohio in 2002 or so. Scott was a born entertainer.
You get my Gold star for the day for that comment. Just plain and simple. Theleatherman, may you be blessed today and always.
Fucking love ya
@@robertlambrusco3834 Oh man, THAT was an epic concert. Watched it many, many times, and that was Scott, and the band, at their very best! I envy you. That one will drone on in your head for a long, long time...

Truly a great moment in Hockey.
Great comment. I'm laughing so hard!!!! 😂
I thought that was Joey Ramone?

I must up vote this.
The bass line is awesome on this song
Honestly, Rob wrote some of the best bass lines. Always interesting.
Very underrated bass player \m/
Rob is a super underrated bass player. And yes, the bass line on this song is so well written.
I love how you pick that out. This song is amazing for so many reasons and that is one of the reasons,
RIP Scott, fucking love Stone Temple for life.
The authenticity of Scott is unreal.
Can’t teach or learn what he had.
Legend forever!!
Mick Jagger taught him those moves.
WORD
David Bowie
Mind-blowing that this is now 20 years ago. TWENTY YEARS AGO.
World was a lot better than today.
My dad always said its getting later then you think boy!
Right? Jeesh. RIP Scott.
zackieboy No it’s not
Actually it's almost 30 years ago that they wrote and recorded this. THIRTY YEARS AGO.
How flawless was his voice in this version.
As a truck driver this is my shit 🤣
Nečekal jsem že najdu čecha pod stp písničkou
I get it 😂
"Think you'll take off your shirt for the performance today, Scott?"
Scott: "A little bit."
and chew some gum while we're at it
Bravo with that comment 😂😂
So underrated at a front man. RIP Scott
iagobrown def not underrated! He was the best in the ‘90s and his voice do all types of music. His Christmas album is a gem!
Underrated? You mean underground.
What r u talking about!!?
i dont think he was underrated at all
@@HipsterDoofus100 👌✌️
Goddamn I love Scott Weiland!
He dances kind of like an exotic bird flexing his feathers for a potential mate lol. And I love that!
Still gives me moist eyes when I see Scott performing like here. I was honestly devastated back on December 3rd 2015 when I heard about his death 😥😥
Scott Weiland, you are forever missed!
That performance is a perfect example of something that can make you extremely happy yet so sad the second it’s over.RIP Scott.
Scott: "I'm Gonna keep this wod of gum in my face while i belt out some of the best vocals this side of the decade! 2021 kids are gonna shit their pants, WHatch this"
No shit😂
It is so weird to imagine how long ago this was. It felt like this music would go on and on, but nothing good lasts forever.
I dance like Scoot Weiland when i wait for the bus!!lol
Scean lyonz when you don’t have talent people call that crazy haha
Scean lyonz I do too
You gotta tinkle???
With your earphones on, you dance like SW like you dont care. Awesome!

Scott was such a great singer and performer. He just couldn't keep his personal demons at bay. RIP brother
This song really feels like a sunday afternoon
I was 24 when this was recorded...
The age my daughter is now...
Im sure this post was going somewhere but right now I'm just a bit overwhelmed...
Is Pearl Jam really the last standing soldier of the 90s?
How they wrote it; czcams.com/video/UVH4cb3GrM4/video.html
This song is the one which made me get into STP. RIP Scott.
Tony R. Me too! I didn’t get into Core, but once I heard this song, I was an instant fan.
Tony R. Me too
i thought you were me. i am Tony R. lol
ME TO. LOVE this Song First time I Heard it.
They had me at Sex Type Thing, but this song touched my soul when it came out. I still get the same feeling today.
Stone Temple Pilots live in 2004 was incredible. Scott was insane all over the stage, climbing the scaffolding, running through the crowd with a bullhorn, and twirling and twirling. RIP to a legend.
Scott was incredible he had the voice, the look, the moves, an ever evolving style. I miss him RIP Scott
Scott was such a star. A true blue natural star.
You are watching the one of he best lead singers ever. No one can touch Scott Weiland. He was an amazing force and talent..... We miss you Scott.
100% saw him at the 2003 weenie roast in Anaheim stadium. He was bigger than that stage, blew my mind what presence he had.
Layne Staley
God damn Scott was one hell of a front man
RamboSlice the best
Scott Has a Badass Grungy Voice out of hell of this song
the best. Others did things better. None were a better stage man,
I could watch him dance all day.
These are real people singing and playing.
Sweet Jesus... just realized this was 20 years ago. Still fantastic...
His voice is like warm country gravy on a chicken fried steak
Jonathan D'Orazio beautiful baritone gravy
yeah its insane
Yeah that's right! Rock'n roll forever dude!
Are you from texas? i looove chicken fried steak bro.

I think Scott Weiland was, musically, perfect! His voice was perfection!
I've always loved the intricate bass lines in STP songs
Robert DeLeo best bassist ever! Awesome!!
Stern has the best catalog of videos ever. So underrated. Thank you for continuing to release.
And the best sound tech
Best acoustics ever
Stern is still a total asshole though. This generosity doesn't change that fact.
Bass player has great harmony.
Robert DeLeo is so tasteful with his lines, keeps it interesting with all the subtle extensions
@@aaronkelley8886i think he was talking about his vocal harmony…
@@messygamez5675 still though, he’s a great bassist

Listen to his tone! Dialed right in for a live off the cuff number! Outstanding. RIP SW.
Read he dial that tone in on the fly amazing proof that tone is in the fingers homey
Greatest rock song of the 90s and maybe ever. Gives me chills every time
YES
Did you ever hear velvet revolver play it
It's a good song no doubt but the greatest rock song ever? Objectively its not even close to being the greatest. Sales, popularity, lyricism, instrumental technicality, vocal performance, song structure, etc. It falls short in each of those categories when compared to every other rock song
LOL, "Big Empty" was a far better song
So true
I like how Scott turns around to see what the hell Howard is talking about, when he asks Dean "Why don't you use that guitar???" Lol.
Great band and one of the best front man in Rock history....RIP Scott Weiland
He had such charisma wow Rip
Oh I miss him... 💔
One of the greatest frontmen ever. When you have it, you have it....
This was my type of music growing up and still today!!
Maybe thee most underrated impromptu song I've ever heard. RIP 🙏
the most beautiful, talented, kind man , miss you Scott..fly free xx
Master class on fronting a rock group as the lead singer!
Best frontman ever, very underrated band
lol

God I love bands that can play their songs live that sounds like they do on the record.
so deep and rich sound, the patience in weilands delivery is phenominal
Just an awesome version... This song never gets old, no matter how many times you listen to it... Very special song!!!
AFFIRMATIVE!
So much filled in by a great guitarist and bass player.... so much space filled with only 1 guitar player. Everyone playing/singing are genius
From a time when you would judge a band or album by listening to track # one and just letting it play to the end. These guys were great
The man is one of the great rock vocalists ...EVER!!!~!!!!!!!!!
Chester Bennington is no1 though 🔥
@@eternity68 no. He’s up there but not 1

the rhythm section in this song is soooooo good
Has to be one of the 5 best road rock songs ever, and my personal favorite.

Real deal…. but it’s life.
Gota love the sound of the guitar.
So much talent RIP big man
I saw them in Las Vegas back in 1994. My brother and I went and it was our first concert ever. The opening band was Redd Kross. The experience was surreal. It felt like a haze of noise and sound but they could play.
They played very well and at the time I didn’t appreciate how rare it was for bands to actually be able to perform live.
Sounded pretty awesome. Especially since it was on the spot. Scott’s voice sounded great.
Beautiful. And Scott's dancing here looks like a drunk uncle in a sweet sixteen
Alejandro Martínez drugs he was on a good one
Probably on the valleys or coke.
Si. ❤
Same outfit as the drunk uncle, too.
Cocaines one hell of a drug!
Anytime I hear a STP song come on it always seems like a gift. And when I hear their songs come on in public it's probably one of the coolest feelings in the world.
Their first album ....for me is one of the TOP 5 rock albums EVER...every song..is a hit...every single one.
Absolutely agree
Beautiful. He truly is missed.
My favorite version. It's so perfect
Scott's incredible vocals and signature, legendary stage-moves will be missed.
Scott was such a awesome musical talent.
I just can’t with his voice…magnificent💖
I love Scott's voice oh my god what a tragic loss
22 Years after this was done is still sounds fantastic !!!
such a beautiful voice, RIP Scott Weiland
when I hear this song, it seems that even the atmosphere changes, a numbing sensation, I feel peace! I miss you scott :(
Scott looks healthy here. He had demons he couldn’t overcome. A very intense man and so gifted. I miss him.
Dude was too fkn badass for this world. Glad he was here. Scott left something truly wonderful behind 💯🖤🕯
