Thanks for all the testing, Ian! 😃
Yeah, this little PSU just got even more interesting!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I’ve been using my little m6 as a power supply and field charger for 3 years now with no issues. Have used it as a smoke stopper with every build since purchased. I’ve heard plenty of horror stories but guess I got lucky

it's probably inappropriate to think that my recent comment might have been somewhat responsible for you changing to provide more such info in your reviews ... but I like to think that LOL. Anyway, HOW MUCH COOL info, in 10 minutes! Outstanding! OUTSTANDING! Mad's Tech at its best.

Congrats - cause that should be the 600th video on this channel released.
Your current number might be a bit higher but I bet you have some uploaded that were not released cause I had watched the counter the last few weeks when I had thought you would reach the 600 s video milestone before the 30K
Just to let you know: avata has arrived in germany - had seen some boxes today, but not so many and a KOL had gotten one here that loves the goggles but not so much the drone. It seems to have its issues like the fpv drone. I have seen that and I did not like it all but I do not like whoops in general. And prices are quite high at least at release date. But spare parts seem to be available cause he had an issue that has been fixed.

Nice clear video. Pleased it checked out well. I have had two of these units in under a year and in both cases the power board blew. I wont be buying anything from ToolKitRC in future.

Got a chance to get my hands in the Avata and the goggles and camera are great, but no longer useable with even small glasses.
You can adjust the oculars left and right. Feels comfirtable but some light came in. Had not much time to adjust. Great improvements, nice, really nice OLED and I am blown away.
I want the goggles, but not the drone. Strange weird and loud sound, neighbours would go crazy.
Feels solid, compared to the fpv Drone, but flighttime feels not so great. It is a toy , but good camera. That's why I will get them later this year when dji had made clear what other drone will work with the goggles. I won't buy a pure fpv miniwhoop fpv system, cause I need Mini 3 or Air 2S Support and then air units for 2+ planes.
Can recommend the goggles and the dji motion controller but not really the whoop, even though it makes fun, but I guess you can outgrow pretty soon and it feels not suitable to use when other people are nearby. Too noisy especially the pitch even If you fly higher.
The drone attracts pretty young kids from everywhere like no dji drone before. If they bring their parents you will end in Long conversations or tell them upfront 'at least 1.250€' to be able to fly. Of cause they then ask for a beginner mit and I have no clue except get a tello for 99€ and enough batteries to learn to fly and then they are happy once they have seen those. Sold already my used one - still have a new one in the Box.
Regarding flight: got about 1,5 km and then battery warning kicked in. Flight time is hard to tell cause I only got the already used battery which was 75% due to setting Up and preparation time. Had just 45 minutes and had to leave unfortunatelly

That is great in depth review and test procedure especially the oscilloscope part and the shorts. It hurt with each short.
I still use the good old Graupner from 2016 with an internal 150W power supply which is a huge unit.
But it delivers the voltage below the 100 mV you had mentioned. Still works great, is massive and heavy, but capable a lot and has software support to charge and discharge automatically and get a graph. Quite usefull to compare batteries year by year regarding capacity.
But in 2025 I will get a new one for out in the field use. After 10 years my better half will not complain about the next fortune spend for a hobby.

Thanks Ian great to see proper reviews.
I actually have one that the AC side failed
Works perfectly from a DC suply happened literally 2 days after I got it. Any ideas why?
I couldn't see an obvious fuse inside the one in the plug didnt blow.
