About Drunk History:
Based on the popular web series, Drunk History is the liquored-up narration of our nation's history. Host Derek Waters, along with an ever-changing cast of actors and comedians, travels across the country to present the rich tales that every city in this land has to offer. Booze helps bring out the truth. It's just that sometimes the truth is a little incoherent.

The fact that Winona looks the same as she did when she played Abigail Williams in the Crucible 20 or so years ago is insane
They made her look rough in Stranger Things.
I remember being really surprised when she played Spock's mother in Star Trek, and not his kid sister or something. She and Juliette Lewis were both playing teenagers well into their 30's.
But she looks old
I seriously thought Iwas watching an old DH.
@@marcossarah8636 And virtually better looking than most folks her age.
Winona Ryder is a hot pilgrim,
Michael Cera is Scott Pilgrim.
WarParty! At the Outpost 😂
Underrated comment. Here, have my thumbs up.
You won the internet
I chocked reading this comment
That literally made me laugh out loud!!!! Thank you!
winona and keanu are drinking from the same fountain of youth
And are legally married... According to Wynona anyway.
The innocent never age
They did act in the same movie together.
@@nunyabizness9594 Whilst shooting Dracula, they actually did get married. A actual priest performed a real ceremony for the take, and vows are vows. Just kidding only words
@@cootie911sm so just to be clear, shoplifting doesn't preclude innocence?
That part at the end about Jim Morrison is pure gold.
The fact that she was so broken up about it made me laugh so hard XD it was perfect.
A contender for Drunk History's greatest moment, and one of the sickest burns in history history.
I laughed so hard 😂😂
@Carolyn "she's in an unmarked grave on the Boston Commons, and you know whose grave is marked? ****ing Jim Morrison. People fly to see it, and he wrote horrible music."
Which as far as I'm concerned is 100% true.
Winona Ryder will be 96 years old and still playing high school students in movies.
I like how it says Featuring Winona Ryder, and Michael Cera is just....there
Well no-one has a hard on for Cera.
@@TheHutchy01 You don't know our lives 😂
The fact that Michael Cera is overlooked is totally Michael Cera. It's pretty much the plot of every TV show or movie he is in.
@@TheHutchy01 Uhm, I do. Lol
She's many times the star he is.
Ok I’m going to say this again;
*We NEED **_Stoned History._*
Bianca Bloom why?...😑
@ Bianca Bloom *omg-yes-absolutely!!!*
That is exactly what we need next
Elijahjsmith22 because of how hilarious it would be 💁🏻♀️
this definitely isn’t just drunk...
YES OH MY GOD
Winona Ryder being in the title left me unprepared for the mustachioed michael cera
😂 me too
There's a car in the background at 3:40
00_N0BQDY 0000000 I know right
Nice eye haha
Hahaaaaa
It was Marty Mcfly in the Delorean...He saw the hanging so he GTF out of there
Krankie Hankster aaaaah, that makes sense!
"yea u can just talk to it"
"omg hey holy spirit"
“Heyyyyyyyyyyy person”
"And he wrote all that horrible music!" --made me scream-laugh for at least a solid minute.
I like the doors...
@@gortrobot578 I loved them as a teen, with the ultimate peak of my adoration being right before the movie came out, and so you can imagine how stoked I was for that. I went to see it with a group of friends and let me tell you, that was an awkward ride home, not much said except by the one friend who didn't really like them in the first place--she was pretty amused by our collective disappointment. Truth be told, I can still appreciate some of their music; I just have to pretend I don't know that Morrison was just a dude with nothing special about his background, who employed fake-it-til-you-make-it pretentiousness, a fairly decent voice and good enough songwriting in a few songs to make up for the shitty ones, and became an asshole 'Alpha' superstar, then a limitlessly selfish junkie.
Same
The best part was how genuinely sad she was about it LOL.
I loved the doors but that was still so very very funny I don’t care
Here lies Jim Morrison. He wrote horrible music.
Millenial
LOL! That part absolutely killed me. So emotional about it!
Great music
It grows on you, and besides he was a poet not a singer so 🖕
X-D
I mean, yeah, Winona looks amazing.
But also she’s AMAZING at lip syncing this shit. More Winona on Drunk History!!
Second the motion. All in favor, say aye.
@@cindykq8086 Aye
"It is an hour of the greatest joy I can enjoy in this world. No eye can see, no ear can hear, no tongue can speak, no heart can understand the sweet incomes and refreshings of the spirit of the Lord which now I enjoy." --Mary Dyer
"No tongue can taste"
Love it!
"Something about the refreshments..? I don't really get that.."
@@luxitos2867 best part
Made me cry. Also car in the background made me chuckle and, I know they used soft filters but still, how does Winona Ryder not age?
Virginia Kelly she’s a witch
I like that they just let a car pass in the background of one of the scenes 3:40 😂😂😂
Winona started my crush for hot goth chicks in Beetlejuice
Same I have been in love with her since I was a kid cause of that movie
She really is the reason most of us are attracted to those witchy girls.
Agreed with all of the above. Her and Jennifer Connelly basically locked me into dark hair and stunning eyes look forever.
Same
"Honestly laying on the floor like this is one of the best time I've had in a long time"
Mood
Yeah, whats up w her Gravestone not being marked/named? ... World's fuckes up dude
Anto theja eh, most gravestones were never marked
Markus Haahr A lot of graves were marked with wood boards, too. Meaning they just rotted away. The local Union Cemetery has that problem, they have to keep making new markers.
MA ain't changed.
They wanted her to be forgotten.
Kelly Alves yeah like. In that context. I mean funerals have always been time consuming and expensive affairs. There’s no way a poor peasant could ever afford actually having her grave marked and cared for anyways. Sure it was a dick move to intentionally unmark her grave, but there is almost no grave from that era that belonged to a commoner that still exists today.
Jen Kirkman... the Queen of Drunk History, she always gets so toasted on this show, I love it. XD
The part where she's just casually talking to people while being hanged by her neck made me laugh so hard reminding me of that scene in Heathers
YES THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING
Which scene in Heathers?
we need a whole series of Jen Kirkman being drunk and telling us things
Agreed
I'm pretty sure there's a CZcams collection of her episodes.
The Car casually strolling by is awesome
"Steel horse" in those times 😂
You didn't put a time stamp on this, making me watch it twice. And I will not either.
3:39 for the car
@@CymonTempler you shit.
I'm a simple man. I see Winona Ryder. I click. Kudos for more of her career to come.
All love & respect to Winona Ryder she is so beautiful & great talent
Man they were way ahead of their times back then, an SUV in the background at 3:39, all the way back in the 1700s
This is my favourite Drunk History. I think the acting over the recording is absolutely spot on! So well performed.
You guys should get Winona Ryder back!
I'm not familiar with Drunk History so I honestly thought that they were showing clips from Winona's The Crucible movie and just parodying the voiceover. Winona Ryder has hardly aged at all!
Why is Micheal Cera the puritan?
"Oh my gosh. Hey Holy Spirit!" Lol
The ending was amazing. I laughed so hard I almost cried! "Jim Morrison. And he wrote terrible music!" 😂😂😂💀
Never have I heard Pilgrim Times referred to "fun" or "great".
Okay, I’m just gonna say it.
Winona Ryder activated my puberty.
So are you 15 or 50?
SewardWriter Pretty much somewhere in the middle
Me too ;)
When she started talking after they pushed the stool out from under her feet I LOST IT 😂😂😂 4:25
I watched a bunch of different clips after I saw this...
I still think this one is my favorite! The combo of Jen and Winona is so perfect!
I love Jen Kirkman and how she tells a story
Ryder is definitely the reason why I clicked/watched this whole video❤️
👍👍👍😉✌🏼
"OOMPH!"
(muffled) "...Do you think I should get up?"
3:39 car- Aaaah execuution nice !
Tots Track oh shit 😂
Tots Track that was Elon Musk in his time travel car
Lmao i didn't notice at first
Can we acknowledge Jen for a minute? She’s so hilarious
My grandmother wrote a book about Mary Dyer. I think Mary Dyer is a great ancestor from my mom's side.
She was my 11th great grandmother. Kick-ass legacy!
Man, I was legit hoping that was gonna be Hopper from Stranger Things at 0:21 ;(
Tyler Brown me too lmaoooo
(The actor is David Harbour.) And yes, it would be so cool if the two of them did something together outside of Stranger Things!
Winona suits this look as perfectly as ever, and Michael Cera looks .00001 seconds from corpsing the entire time. I'd love to see the outtakes
As a descendant of Mary Dyer, I whole heartily approve this retelling of her story.
Totally agree. She's my 9th-great grandmother. Well done.
@@jackmcgonegal8728 @shannonunruh-hallock2522 hey cousins! she's my 11th great
Why your related lok😂
lol *
Can't believe Winona is as beautiful as ever
It's really funny to me that they got the actress that played Abigail in the Crucible moive. I've only ever seen her in 1600's clothing
Grace Atkins Get out much?
@@jayreszy4398 why?
Grace Atkins Who in the world calls Winona ‘the actress’? She’s made a boatload of movies and you’ve only seen her in two?? Do you live under a rock?
Duddddddeeee that’s WINONA RYDER, Beetlejuice, Heathers, stranger things, etc aka best actress EVER
Yes
BEST EPISODE EVER! Jim Morrison’s grave,,,,,,😂
"Should I get up?" made me LOL 😂
I’m sure Winona is used to hanging from her neck, after Heathers AND this.
winona ryder is such a timeless beauty.
Anyone notice the car casually driving by in the background? "Like yeah, dude, there were like totally cars back then." Now THAT is some Drunk History. LMAO
The music swells and Winona sings to the heavens of the refreshments of God!
Thank You For Having Winona & Michael In This Drunk History Skit. 👏🏼❤💞
Id love to see a behind the scenes of the re-enactments. Like do they just play the audio of the narrator over her or do they full on memorize the lines/pauses?
The lip-synching by all the actors on this episode is better than I've ever seen. Bravissimi!
I remember watching Winona in "Lucas" and thought, without doubt, I'd be seeing more from her. She didn't disappoint.
Aside from her talent, I think she is one of the most physically beautiful actors of her generation.
One of the best episodes!!
This reminded me of Winona's old films, The Crucible :D
That ending killed me 💀
Same! Lol
Great video! Thanks!
What’s SO great about the ending is that Jim Morrison’s grave is in France. It’s not like she picked some other person buried at the Boston commons or even in Massachusetts, or even in America, or even someone else who was martyred. It’s so random!
Is this a re-upload? I definitely feel like I've seen this one before...
I loved it when she cried at the end. So sweet 🧡🧡🧡
I already liked Jen Kirkman, but the end of this makes me love her!
OMFG, that last part had me laughing SSOOOO HARD. I was not expecting it and here i am smoking a blunt when she says that. Oh, man. BEST HISTORY LESSON EVER!
"OMG hey Holy Spirit"😹😹😹
That's why I always walk quickly thru Boston Common when in the area. It always creeps me out that many many years ago, there were a lot of hangings there.
I also like the time she got an audience with the Sultan by showing up and saying she was a diplomat. Asked who she was there representing, she said, God.
My brother was the cook at Beacon Hill Friends House in Boston. for years every time i visited boston i stayed there, and usually stayed in the Mary Dyer room. everyone there was always so incredibly welcoming, kind, and patient. and the room itself, always had such good energy, like i could feel her presence. it was subtle but there was something there, really positive.
The part where she cries really got me laughing hahaha aww so sad
Lol omg that car at 3:40 . So we had cars back then 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This one is soo good
Still the best final sentence of any DH ever. So fucking funny. And Winona is a treasure.
Resonant Storm too damn true! Still cracks me up!
YES! Drunk history with Winona
not the first time she’s almost been hung... (winona ryder)
(it’s the heathers she played veronica and fake hung herself)
Not to mention her playing Abigail Williams in "The Crucible".
The car that passes by at 3:40 🤣🤣
Lol I love how at 3:41 you can see a car in the background! Haha love this show!
Why don't we have cool content like this anymore? I miss these episodes.
just recently discovered Mary Dyer is my 12th great grandmother so to see Winona Ryder portraying my bad ass grandmother is fuckin cool!
I love watching anything with Winona! 😍😍
Winona is GORGEOUS!
😆😆😆😆😆😆
I freakin' LOVE Wynona!!
"...in the face!"
This is a great throw back to Winona Ryder's role as Abigail in some really really old movie based off the book about witch hunt trials I think... Can't remember
The Crucible
@@thechristinaccruz oh that's right, thanks
Was that the one where Dracula...oh, never mind. She likes wearing Tudor duds.
The Crucible. It's an excellent book, play, and movie. It was written by Arthur Miller who was blacklisted by Joe McCarthy as being a Communist. One of my all-time favorites.
I’m a direct descendant of Mary Dyre. She’s my 14th GGM. And yeah I look a lot like Winona Rider.
This would be me telling a drunk history story...crying at the end 😂😂😂
Jen Kirkman is my favorite of all the drunk storytellers. Seems like such a fun drunk person.
Do you think I should get up???😂😂😂
I love the random car driving in the background at 3:40 lol
"We're gonna... whataya call that? ...KILL! we're gonna kill you..." I spewed coffee outta my nose!
lol there’s a car in the backround at 3:39
I love how the actors lip sync the story teller. It’s the best.
I now want to learn more!
This is one of the Greatest things I've ever seen.
Did anyone else see that car driving by in the back ground at the part where she gets hung?
- 10/10, would drive by that scene again!
"omg hey holy spirit."
wish they added the part where king charles sent a quaker that had been exiled from massachusets with the declaration that they cant do that anymore. also that when this quaker dude met the king he refused to take off his hat (quaker thing) and the king went "well protocal says that one of us has to" so the king took off his
The ending was my favorite omg
winona is still a babe how the hell??
Was that a 1659 Pontiac in the background?
Hahahaha
"she changed the world, but you'll never hear about it from anywhere but here" fucking wasted talk lmaooo i feel her tho hahaha
Jen legitimately crying is the BEST part.
