- Tom Holland is a super talent that continues to prove himself as one of the best actors currently working. One of his many skills is his ability to improvise and create amazing moments out of thin air. From his many turns as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to his portrayal of Nathan Drake in Uncharted, Tom has gone off script many times. He seems to have amazing chemistry with everyone he works with, especially his Spider-Man co-stars. His improvisation skills are actually what helped him land the role of Spider-Man. Even though he was warned not to improvise during his audition, he did so anyway when performing alongside Robert Downey Jr. They carried that same energy into the movies, where they have multiple scenes together that feature improvised banter between the two characters.
The scenes between Peter, Ned, and MJ in the Spider-Man movies work so well because of the chemistry the three actors have together. It helped them improvise during many different scenes, which lent a natural feel to the films. And when Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire showed up to film No Way Home, it was as if the three actors were old friends. Tom riffed with the other two Spider-Men and created multiple improvised moments that became extremely memorable scenes. This included the emotional goodbye between the three that ended with a big group hug.

‘Move the Leg’ seems the natural and its flows well, on the other hand the ‘I’m opening the door’ scene is awkward and doesn’t make sense at all. I highly doubt anyone has ever reached over someone to open a door
Actually, I liked the “I’m opening the door, we’re not at the ‘hugging’ stage” line. Iron Man (RDJ) makes any line he says work, and not only work but work w conviction. You can always go back to a line made by Iron Man & easily work w it towards something more bc everything he says is funny, intelligent, endearing (frequently towards his robots), sarcastic, manipulative & often really really brave. For a man who’s “not the guy to make the sacrifice play…” it’s remarkable how many times he does just that.
I like where Zendaya and he landed on the bridge girded after his faces appear on the wall television outside. Zendaya says about the television news that her father won't let peter parker, Tom Holland, inside herr and her father's Manhattan home.
I still to this day can't believe that when Dr. Strange, Stark, and Peter were all in the scene together, no one thought to write a moment where Peter says "no shit, Sherlock" and both Strange and Stark just look at him for a moment.

There was an interview where Tom and Benedict are discussing this and they don’t use it because according to Ben “it would be to corny”

@@CarlosGonzalez-tn3jh worked so good in SG-1. I still remember the reference to "they Macgyvered" and Anderson's face. Plenty of inside jokes for the fans, especially in season 1. Too bad they decided it would be too corny.

"I don't want to go. Sir, please, I don't want to go." That one just broke me. Just imagining both the fear Peter was feeling (and with his Spider-Sense, he would have felt it coming before it hit, too) and the horrible weight it put on Tony's shoulders. He carries that weight in his heart and in the back of his mind until their reunion scene, and that hug was such a huge payoff to their character arcs.
I LOST it! I cried the whole way home from the movie. My husband later made fun of me when we were going to bed later that night. He turned off the light, kissed me goodnight, and said, "I'm sorry about your loss today." I died laughing. I can't even imagine how ridiculous I looked bawling over Spiderman.

The fact he improv'd so many lines as Spider Man, whose hallmark feature is quips and being quick and a smartass, kinda proves he's the best live action Spider Man we've had. I love Toby and Andrew, but Tom is on a whole other level.
It's so endearing that RDJ has such an impact on Tom's life and career that Tom now has some of his mannerisms, the way he shows himself in public, attires and all.
First, it's a credit to Marvel for casting actors so damn well. Also, to me it seems Tom Holland is just so likable that all his co-stars love him and have great chemistry with him. Third, the fact he's such a great Spiderman now make sense, it's all him! Tom has a bright future ahead of him!

My favorite improvised moment with Spider-Man and Tony Stark was when we first see Peter and he forgets to move his leg from the bed so Tony can sit down. RDJ, staying in character, says, *"I'm going to sit now so you move the leg."* That was so good!
He understand the assignment and enjoys it. More power to you Tom!

Tony Starks death in Endgame being called extremely emotional is an understatement. I am a grown man (arguably) and the first time I saw this scene I was on a plane. I was full sobbing in my seat surrounded by people. I nearly got the police called on me because I was clearly having an emotional breakdown. The flight attendant checked on me 5 times in the last 10 minutes of the movie. I am on a watchlist for Delta Airlines for sure now.

You need to say WHY RDJ improved the "you move the leg" line....Tom had forgotten his blocking during the shoot and RDJ ran with it.
Yeah, this video did a very poor job of explaining the good parts of the improv scenes. It’s all taken from better CZcams videos that actually explain why the improv scenes were so good. But hey, they got clicks and views. Just too bad it’s poorly done.
Shouldn't have been included at all since it wasn't Tom doing the improv.

Tom Holland is one of those actors who everyone will know and remember, if they don't already. He's going to become legendary, his acting talent (on AND off script 😆) is phenomenal, and he seems like such a genuinely good person.
Also, he seems clumsy and so am I do. That's endearing 😅

Him doing all this improv in the spider-man movies is incredible but not uncommon. A lot of actors/actresses (Including me) can do a lot of improv. His improv just happens to be perfect.

The Mr. Stark I don't feel so good scene just hit me right in the feels. It reminded me of just how gut wrenching it felt in the moment
The scene where Tony Start tells Peter Parker to move his leg was only sorta improvised. The set had several markers for positions the actors had to take during the shots and Tom accidently had his leg on the spot where Robert was supposed to sit down acording to script.
This, DC, is why we love Tom Holland, and why his Spiderman is so successful.

The best improvised scenes are the ones where the reason behind it is simply "I just thought it'd be funny"
Many of the best scenes an emotions I've seen/experienced in movies and shows have been more or less improvised and it is my opinion that it brings a level of authenticity that is missing when the actors follow a precise script.
I can't watch infinity war 😭 when Tom fades I just start sobbing even just the short clip here hits me like a train

Tom Holland is one the best actors in Hollywood. He seems so underrated now but in the next couple of decades he's gonna be one of the greatest to ever do it. I'm taking Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire level great. Time will tell so I wish him all the best

Not sure if it's true I accepted it at face value, but I heard Toby agreed to his appearance in Spider-Man on the condition that his edition to the film doesn't take away from Tom's scenes. the point of spiderman is that he is a goofy teenager with TONS of responsability, and Tom made a FANTASTIC job on representing those sides of the superhero.

Anything and everything he and Zendaya do is awesome. But my absolute fav with Robert Downey Jr. is; He won my heart with the role he played opposite Jamie Foxx in 2009. 'THE SOLOIST'. With all the renewed talk about mental health today, if you haven't seen this film then grab a large box or 3 of kleenex and watch it. Robert and Jamie are fantastic in it.

"Move the leg" wasn't as much improvised as it was one actor telling the other what to do, since Peter... i mean Tom missed his mark to move and Robert couldn't sit down as the script was calling for
