I enjoyed this clip so much seeing Sai's old house and her mom and her old school. I found it very interesting because I like visiting my old house and neighborhoods also. Sai is so sweet and she was in no way an ugly duckling when she was a kid. From what I see it was a great place to grow up in. Loved seeing it.

I love visiting my gf's family in a little village in Surin. The life is so basic and they are always welcoming. I have met her mom and dad. It is an eye-opener to see things that we take for granted. Love it.

I was in a village once and recall an old woman coming to sell live "Rat's" that she had caught in the rice paddy field....I've never tried myself....

I try not to comment much, but appreciate how positive both of you are. I’ve never heard either of you criticize or say anything negative about any one... any place... or any thing (ok... maybe the train first class cabin, but it really did suck). Uhhh... I have no problem with this pic of Sai. It got me to click on the video. Great to see where Sai grew up. I truly am impressed with the respect Sai shows her mom, it's the way it should be. A new lease on life. First time I went to a Thai village with a woman knowing the work she endured to take care of a daughter she would only see briefly twice a year I vowed to create a reality where she spent much time with her daughter. Today, retired, we have a nice home, a 9 year old son and 6 more children who by default call me Papa. Life is good.

Sai's English is so good and she seems like a really nice girl. Hope you guys have a long- term happy relationship. I'm retired in Thailand now with a great Thai wife. Her extended family in the countryside are really nice people and I have no regrets. To all the cynics - there's lots of decent Thai ladies and they really appreciate a good loving western husband because many of the Thai men are bad news!
