Aliens and MMA

Many things change over the years. Will there still be MMA style competitions in the future? If aliens exist, will they compete in them with their own versions?
That's exactly what we see in this episode of Babylon 5 where a human competes in an alien circuit, wins their respect, and joins their brotherhood.

@@AuthorDodgeMerrin "Alien" is a deceptive word. I just finished feeding the feral cats living on our street this morning. Not human, not sapient in the way humans are, but they can show fear, and affection, and territoriality, all of which can be ascribed to instinct. And any instinct is a fundamental drive, nature's lowest common denominator for survival functionality. If beings evolved on alien worlds arise from the same base set of instinctive responses, then it is not unreasonable to expect that they may, in achieving sapience, also arrive at similar cultural habits to our own. =^[.]^=

Didn't he want to fight in that competition because Earth had just banned boxing?

He was banned from participating because the association overseeing the sport didn't want him to beat the current champion. When he refused to throw the fight, they created false evidence of him cheating to get him thrown out, so he went to this competition to gain popularity and get them to allow him back in.
