      Agreed. All of their machines seem to work great and at a reasonable price. 👍🏼

    Great review. You really spent the time to go thru everything and the demos were great. Looks like a fantastic welder for the money. Thanks for sharing. Be safe and stay well.

    Cool little machine.... I started out with a flux core campbell hausfeld...still got it sits a top an old electric wheel chair frame so it can roll any where on the property for mobil repairs... The clarke you have was my second machine but mine was rebranded cause in those years that model is chinese made and several brands have been stickered on that case!😂 gave it away to my freind... The big miller sweet old transformer box... The best welders let you adjust the amps infinetly a rheostat style control much better and I still prefer it over some of the newer programmed machines... At $170 it a good starter machine for autobody and light welding jobs...having tig possible and mig, stick...not bad once you become better at welding you can move up to a better machine, but you get your feet wet and experinced.

    Around 9:34 you said the machine automatically sets your wire speed, so you can't manually choose your wire speed or is there just a separate mode that automatically chooses it?

      As far as I know there isnt a wire speed adjustment on the welder. That's supposed to be one of its main features. If there is a mode for the feed I didn't see it. I've used it quite a bit and I haven't ever had a problem with the wire speed.

      @@HFG I've looked at this little welder for a while and I still think I'm gonna pick one up, but so far that's my only complaint about it. I can see how automatically set wire speed could be both a blessing and a curse at the same time.

      @itsbrode9000 I understand. I haven't found a scenario where the automatic feed is an issue but I'm not welding lots of random stuff everyday 👍🏼

    Can u wire weld aluminum with this or is aluminum totally a no go with this?

    • @HFG
      @HFG  Před 2 měsíci

      You need a AC (alternating current, like your house wiring) machine for aluminum, so no aluminum at all with this rig. This is strictly a Direct Current (DC) welder. AC capable machines cost quite a bit more. Sorry bud.
