Me waiting on my silly little bed for a silly little show about silly litlle gay people
so true
Mood
this
I agree
What a silly little comment
"They accused Me of puting glitter in their body wash!"
"Did you put glitter in their body wash?"
"Yea."
Mickey is one of the closest representations of me I have ever seen in a show! I am so happy to see a Black fem gay trans guy. Watching this encourages me to keep acting. Thank you so much! Happy Pride! 🌈
Is Mickey a trans guy? Where does it say that, i didnt know
why do you need a carbon copy of yourself on the screen to relate?
@@williamzinedineh because its nice to see yourself represented? And besides, he didnt say he needed an exact copy to relate, just that it was nice.
im white but seeing a fem trans guy in general was so validating i think im gonna cry
So you're a straight girl? Gay men are male. You are an appropriator.
"we tried to get an asexual but they're really committed to their Homestuck roleplay" is literally the best thing that was ever said
Its also very fucking true of a stereotype ngl - an asexual
As an ace, this line kind of rubbed me the wrong way. The tone it was said in implied the aces don't really belong in a gay/straight alliance club which leads to normalizing of ace-erasure
My English teacher in high school was the first one to tell us that Shakespeare was actually bisexual. In the same lesson I come out as a lesbian, I felt really safe to do so.
This is amazing! Teenagers created this? This is an incredibly well done product from the acting, plot line, pacing, unique characters/costumes, shooting, editing, and down right relatability. 11/10 I cannot wait until the next episode!

just filled in all three suggestions as Hetero !
This is fun but y’all-Shakespeare was bi😭😂
Hopefully this helps
Seeing the cast have fun at the end is so nice !!!
“Please don’t hurt me”
“No this is a safe space”
Says the one who chanted sacrifice
This is....probably the best representation of a GSA I have ever seen from the codependency to the obscure historical analasys. Love to see it!
I was t in a Gsa but my queer friend group still all acted like this. I miss them sometimes.
I didn't like how the first scene turned into just insulting the teacher, but otherwise this was funny and adorable, and I can't wait to see what adventures they'll be getting into! The dramatic muffled "heterosexual" was the greatest ending ever. I remember seeing teasers to this on tiktok!
truly haha. as a queer teacher i’m like, yeah he sucks, but you don’t gotta piss on the man lol
same bruh
I on the other hand was totally satisfied with the bullying! It was totally hilarious 😂
@@in_a_tizzy i want to say thank you for just...being a queer teacher. more representation in the classroom means a lot to me 💛
Literally. And though I agree that a lot of Shakespear's work is gay, it's kind of obnoxious to say you know better about the poem you *just* read than your teacher. Especially 'cus he's right about the sun being masculine if it's a reference to Apollo or Helios
It reminds me of my Latin teacher in University. He is old but he is quite nice, when he is not screaming at students for getting rid of their phones (he hates phones). We were talking about Achilles story because it was part of a Latin text we were studying and while he was explaining this story to those who didn’t know it, he said: Then, Patroclus who was Achilles lover got killed.
And it seems like nothing but it was the first time I have seen a teacher, especially his age talking about gay representation in history/legends without any issue. Usually, every other stories people tried to tell me was « They were best friends » « They were cousin/brothers » « They were very close » but not « Lovers ».
I don’t know, I just feel like it’s cool coming from a teacher to recognize the existence of gay people in history and legends.
Oh, I love that!
To be fair, who can concentrate with their phone?
Do you know about Ancient Egyptian history and incest? I’ve always known about Tutankhamen and Rameses 2nd but i learned recently that a majority of the Egyptian kings had sex with their sisters or fathers with daughters and brothers having sex with sisters. Should we teach children the incest families of the Ancient Egyptian kings and queens?
@@binghamguevara6814Why not? It’s part of history and the worst you could do is lie about history. Of course, it can also provide to be a great opportunity to teach why incest is wrong and promote correct ethics
@@binghamguevara6814 yes?💀 Absolutely we should. We should teach history unscensored and unbiased. Isn’t that obvious
Omg same, on a history lesson
Im so happy it's out I'm nearly crying oh my gods finally a show that shows what queer teens are ACTUALLY like when we're comfortable 🥺
One minute in, and if someone talked back to a teacher in my school like that... man, I wouldn't want to be in the room. Ireland doesn't work like that.
I am gay but I think I am too european/slavic to get this.
same here
Same 😫
Same i can't imagine a situation like this in a school in my country
same lmao.
Reminds me of the song Gay or European
yeah... that ace joke absolutely doesn't land like you might've intended it to...
It's finally out!! And it's just as good as I hoped it would be!!
THIS IS SO GOOD!! Netflix needs to pick this up😭 You all look like such good friends. I wanna join😂
Counter point its better that it stays here, Netflix deserves this less then your average CZcams viewer does. But yeah I'm down for just dumping money into this, first step is actually getting money
@Regina McCaffrey hey
netflix will cancel it in 2 secs
I love how accurate the sitting position of a gay group of friends is portrayed.
Three minutes in and I’m already tearing up at how much I love this show
12:49 "I want a girlfriend" me too, Sarai 😂
I was able to watch this as a feature film during the Seattle Queer Film Festival. It got my vote for Viewer's Choice as the best film of the festival. Soooo happy to see it here and be able to watch again!
i like the characters. i like that they aren't afraid to push back against horrible adults. these are the kids i wish i had been able to hang out with in high school. its just so refreshing to see something like this. and the fact that its making straight people angry means its hitting the nail on the head. let the defaults get angry. i want more, but please don't cave to straight pressure to change the show.
also the principal demanding they add straight people was like peak fragile straight snowflakey goodness. that guy is good at playing a baddie. what straight people need to get through their default skulls is that if they want nicer gay people, then maybe be nicer to us. i really hope this show doesn;t become all about straight people and how we need them or some crap like that.
AHHHH, this was SO GOOD!!! I can’t wait til the next one!
(Also, im ace- I’ll happily help w your diversity numbers😌😂)
samee loll
Same!
Ditto to both parts!
ME TOO
Same! Aro ace here
Love this so far but some ace rep thats not "homestuck roleplay????" Would be really nice.
Omg, this is even better than I was hoping 😭
OMG I'M SO IN LOVE WITH THIS, I ALREADY NEED TO SEE SARAI GET A GIRLFRIEND, QUINN AND OLIVIA GET TOGETHER AND I DONT KNOW WHY BUT IM SENSING VIBES BETWEEN MICKEY AND COHEN I LOVE THEM ALL
ahh i rlly hope there's going to be aro / ace rep in this
I personally find the main cast annoying. I know that the writer is trying to make them outspoken but they just come off as rude- to the secretary, counselor, etc
Fr and im queer myself
do characters have any other traits other than being gay? at some point it just becomes a parody of itself
I love the bloopers at the end and the cast’s chemistry is so good
This might have been good but I can't get through the opening scene. I get trying to make a point but we move past that to the point of being actually mean while literally derailing the classroom.i just can't get through that scene
"Shakespeare was happily married to a woman" also Shakespeare: leaves his wife an old bed and wrote letters to and had affairs with many men
I want to give this a chance but 3 minutes in and they're so unbelievably smug. Like you can try to make a point without being so smug.
Yayy it's finally out!! And it's just as amazing as a I thought it would be! Great job!! Also happy pride month everyone.
I cant wait until there is more episodes!
Quinn Sarai are probably my favorite characters
I love this, I love this sm
Same it soo good
YO THIS IS SO GOOD- the characters are so iconic and I literally can’t tell the difference between this and a Netflix show top marks to everyone who worked on this 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I'm not homophobic but it can be changed due watching this show
thank you all for the captioning, whoever did them!!!!
been waiting for months and it was SO worth it
wow absolutely my favorite show rn, you guys are truly incredible!! the humor, acting, premise, and execution is perfect🧎🏻♀️🥰
so glad to finally watch this after years of waiting :D
I loved it!! And the theme song 🎶 I can’t wait for more
absolutely love the outtakes. intriguing premise as well. Poor Shakespeare teachers. Lol, gotta go through a lot.
the way that this is so accurate to gay friend groups.. i am so excited to watch all of this
the acting? the production? the characters? the humor? this is the best thing to exist
The GSA literally screaming: GAY POEM!!!!
the straights in the English class: 😐
anyone else lowkey pissed off by these characters lmao, why were they so uptight to the office lady (loved all the production work but still haha)
Am I the only person uncomfortable with this?😅 I'm queer tho, but maybe I'm too old for this humor hahaha, or maybe it is because I was taught to respect everybody as young
@@jessicahernandez3090 respect is earned. its not owed. that goes both ways between adults and kids.
@@JonathanB824 You're very very wrong.
They’re, like, supposed to be annoying right? People do not act that way in a classroom, even when they hate the teacher. Like,,,,,
III hope Americans aren’t like this in reality
A LOT of people act that way in classrooms. especially in america
@@JonathanB824 that's just sad
As an American this was not my experience but I also went to a pretty liberal high school where this wouldn’t have even turned into a problem, because most teachers wouldn’t be too homophobic to even discuss it
I think they are supposed to be a bit annoying. Sorta of like an overexageration. I did know people who spoke like that to the teacher when i was in hs, but it was usually the sporty popular people or the partiers. So it's interesting seeing queer people assume that role
Why are the main characters so cringe? When I was in highschool the queers were the best kids they didn't act out like that
I have not seen a teacher so thoroughly committed to the "no way can [x] historical figure be gay" bit, like c'mon my dude, not even a little bi? even a teensy weensy?
I've only made it 2 minutes and 30 seconds into this video but I LOVE how iconic this main group is already!!
“we should become ~heterosexual~”
Quin: *becomes a hey mommas lesbian.*
Amazing project everyone! I can't wait to watch it grow and blossom! It makes me happy to see snippets of my home in this episode c: Great job Bentley!
This is the only show I have seen that represents me and people like me as a main character. and they arent ashamed or hiding it. Y'all are fucking awesome and I hope everyone who worked on this goes far because you sure as hell deserve it. Keep up the great work.
THE ASEXUAL HOMESTUCK COMMENT MADE ME SPIT OUT MY DRINK flashbacks to middle school 😭😭 Asexual and Biromantic gang
What exactly is a homestuck roleplay?
been waiting for this show for so long! it's such treat 😻
Help I’m lgbtq(+) but I find the kids so annoying
Yeahh
Omg same and im queer
Im 12 minutes in, and already love all the characters. I can really see myself in Quinn:))
everyone draped over each other is peak queer friendship
Soy tan feliz de que le hayan puesto traducción al español, adoro esta serie !!!!
so good!! i wish there were captions tho:(
captions are up now :)
I’m in tears. I’ve never felt so seen.
I've never seen a show that really looks like and feels like me and my friends, thank you thank you thank you!!
I AM SO PROUD OF YALL YALL ARE TEEN FILMMAKERS AND DID AN AMAZING JOB LOVE THIS SERIES! ! ! ! ! Netflix needs to give you a deal.
Meanwhile, my 70 year old Shakespeare teacher on the first day: "William Shakespeare was likely, if not certainly... what's the word? Oh, yes, bisexual."
God I saw the trailer for this so long ago and I forgot about it
I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE IT
Dude this whole group is my literal friend group 😂
YAY ITS FINALLY HERE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
this is bad, I wished for something good when I saved this on the watch later playlist a few days ago and was disappointed. Sad
i know this is supposed to be this great gay representation, but this series made my internal homophobia just skyrocket.
I am 18 and only recently started accepting myself as a lesbian. I’ve grown up in a very conservative environment, where queer people were always seen as these “demons”. My upbringing made it almost impossible to accept myself. So, when I finally started feeling like I can be whoever I want to - I watched this series, and it feels like all of the hard work just vanished.
There are a lot of stereotypes surrounding queer people. And having disrespectful behaviour and being social outcasts - are one of them. People avoid queer people because they think all of them act the same way. This series only supports those stereotypes.
Have you seen the girl who literally ran away and asked not to kill her? Exactly.
So, this series supporting that queer people can’t be accepted into the society because of the entangled version of who they are and how they act makes me lose all the hope.
I wish I had never watched this.
I love the energy of this show so much!! It just screams gay!!!
this is so slay can’t wait to see the rest!!!
I think this is the single most queer-stereotypical thing I have seen since accidentally stumbling across the boyfriends webtoon
everyone seems to be having so muchfun doing this!!
this is so good! when i saw it on instagram i was os excited to watch it and this is even better than i expected. you're all so talented
Im trying to love this but man those kids are rude af...
I like the show but personally I think the kids are a bit rude and snarky lol! But that’s what makes it entertaining!
Been following you guys for a while!! Congrats on an amazing first episode! Loved it!!
God! I wish I had a class like this when I was a teenager... I can't wait to see the rest of the series
omg i cant believe its finally here!!! so incredibly realistic already too i went to a huge highschool & my gsa only had 3 members for way too long
Saw a scene on TikTok, ran here immediately, now in love 😍
YAYYYYY
when I hear chloe moriondo, of course im going to watch the whole thing
The students are rude asf
yay, i can finally watch this!! can't wait to see the rest
Loving the chemistry between the actors!!
Amazing! Can't wait for the next episode!!
i wish all the conflicts are instigated by the main characters, like what do they expect from being assholes to people who aren’t doing anything?
God this makes me tear up. This is so well done and great representation. Thank you for making this :)
I love this already!!! I cannot wait to see where this series goes!
i absolutely love this omg i can’t wait for the next episode !!
This is so refreshing- teens actually dressing like teens and talking like teens
I've been waiting for this for so long, so happy to finally see it out! It's great so far and I can't wait for the next episodes!
It should totally be on Netflix or Hulu or Amazon 😢
amazing screenwriting & super high-quality! kudos for creating such a cool series ❤🏳🌈
I'm so HYPED, this looks really good!! 💜💜
Oh my gosh this is going to be such a good show. Lovely filming, great actors, the lighting, the costumes, the characters!!! Yes!!!
I'm literally not even two minutes in and I already love this
While I missed out on the experience in high school myself this was so cute and refreshing to see. The acting is really good and wildly realistic lmao
I have been waiting and this is amazing!!! I can’t wait for episode 2!
This is my heartstopper
