Why California service center is taking longer time than any other service center s to process the case ?
My wife has gone received her green card and social security card. We are in the state of Florida. We did not know we could change the name on those forms so her maiden name is on those documents. You mentioned there is a process for legal name change after that point but it's just more expensive. Can you detail what that process would be for us now and in what order? Thanks so much to anyone who is confident they know this information and can help.
My representative told she updated my citizenship and name change to uscis but I didn’t get any mail explaining that citizenship is updated or not

I didn’t change my maiden name to my married n I really wanted to, however, while I filling the for I didn’t realize or saw a place from me to do so n now I have my green card in my maiden name n not my married name. Due to this I am having problem getting to do anything while I’m here because My social security card is in my married name because when I applied for my SSN they ask what name I wanted it in n I told them my married name n the say they will contact immigration N tell them about the change (which they did) but for some reason my green card isn’t changed to my married name n now the two isn’t corresponding. Now I’m finding difficult to start my life. However, I must say your video is helpful, thank u for the info but it’s heart breaking. It seems like i will have to wait until after 3 years before I can start living n it’s not right because SSN office don’t want to change back my married name to my maiden name so my information can match. This is so sad that it causes me to cry, smh. Anyways, still trying to be possitive

Yes I did, I called the Ssn and explain what happen throughly n they allowed me to apply for a name change. However, I must say that it’s only ur Ssn u can change in this case.

Good morning Madam. Please can you clarify me this . My sister's maiden name is Lum Lilian and when she was playing the lottery,she used but her maiden name and when she was filling the ds260 form she had added her husband's name Ngwa so the name becomes Lum Epse Ngwa Lilian and her current passport and DS 260 has this change of name but the second notification Letter for interview came with the initial name Lum Lilian. Is there going to be a problem at the embassy for the additional name?

Thank you for this video!! I wish I saw it two weeks ago!!! I just submitted the aos forms, with my maiden name. I thought the only option was to go to the social security office. There is no way to update this information after sending the form? Also, I’m from Brazil, and we don’t have “middle” names. I always filled out the forms putting only my first and last names. Could I just add my maiden name as the middle name?

Hey beautiful lady. Thank you for your video. My last name on social security is different than on my driver's license because the social security was issued when I was single. The social security office told me that I don't need to go to the social security office to change my last name, I can do it online application through my social security account. I tried to do it online today, but since my last name in social security is different than the last name in driver's license, therefore, the online system does not recognize me. Please help me if there is another way to fix the problem without going to SS Office. Thanks,

If my wife puts her new last name on the I-485 to change her name, do we need to include a copy of the marriage certificate? (In addition to providing a copy of the marriage certificate with the I-130?). If so, should it be a certifiied copy we include with the I-485?

Hello, great video. I do have a quick question: Does USCIS accept and process a hyphenated last name? I don't want my wife to lose here maiden name, but she also wants my last name, and was wondering if a hyphenated last name(s) would be acceptable. Thank you again.

Hello, I have recently had my submitted documents approved by Nvc but noticed that my profile is now on my maiden name. Is this because of my passport? I have my passport since before getting married and have not renewed it. Is this going to be an issue or do I need to do anything on my end before my interview, like renewing my passport and upload it so they can update my information or is not necessary?

Good morning, I'm married and going through the immigration process with my spouse. He is the American citizen. I want to add his last name to my madien name. On my application forms for immigration I wrote my name for example my madien is Clarke and his last name is Williams. So I wrote it this way - Clarke - Williams. Is that the correct way in my case?

Non immigrant middle name change … NO ONE HAS INFORMATION ON THIS. 😞 for traditional purposes I want to change my middle name and last name how my new husband country does it. So I take his first name essentially as my middle name and then his last name as my last name

Hello good morning. I watched the videos about fiancé visa here on CZcams. I was wondering if you could help me with a little information. My fiancé has a son, we been together for three years and he grew up calling dad. He’s barely 3 and half years old. I was wondering if I could adopt him when he comes to the USA and give him citizenship automatic?
Does the new name have to be on the marriage certificate? Or will it still show the maiden name? We are a K1 couple that will then file an AOS to get the green card.
Great Question. I’m in the same boat too. In the state of Texas, my wife’s new name is not on the marriage certificate. I’m thinking to provide a copy of our certificate since it is a legal document. I really hope someone answer this question.

Im a US citizen living in Canada, my wife and I got married in the US ten years ago. On the marriage certificate it says she will change her last name after marriage but we never did. Hello that's my problem few months ago but I made it,we just call the USCIS to correct my name then they give me my new Ds 260 with my married name,I didn't need to start all over again,
But my interview is next week. I am afraid that it will cause problems at the interview
You need to changed your name before your interview if you want used your married name if you will not changed it you will be using the name appears in your ds260
Before you can changed your name to married name you need to submit documents like your new passport,or married licensed just call USCIS for more information thanks
