I do too….just not on this cart lol. Definitely need a trackball or paddle for a few of these games. Give me those two things, and my grade on this cart goes WAY up👍

I agree with your review, I'm glad that it just became a legacy cart. Maybe one of the coming hardware announcements will be a trackball & or paddle. Then they could release some of these games & others with that support.

This cart would be pretty good with a trackball or paddle. It would definitely change the grade👍

I agree with a lot you say in this video. I'm also someone that enjoyed Atari for what it was but at this point only enjoy a few games a few minutes at a time but the biggest thing is how many of the Atari games feel wrong if you're not playing with the paddles or trackball or the original joystick. I know the Evercade VS is compatible with a lot of controllers but I'm still surprised Evercade didn't make a few more controllers in different styles to sort of complete the experience. It's one of the reasons I really enjoy the mini consoles because not only do I get the original games but I also get the original controllers which is just as important to me.

For sure! Those controllers can really make or break a game.

In the early days of Evercade I played Atari 2600 Centipede & Millipede a lot as I wanted something short, sweet & challenging and these did that perfectly. Because of that I got on better with the controls with the arcade versions here but they are a lot more money grabbing harder lol. But yeah, no rollerball really knocks this cart down. Good review Game Freak! 🙂

      It’d definitely be a “B” with a trackball. 👍

One of the few arcade carts I don't have. There are classics there but they just don't do it for me

I feel the same way about it. Some games just seem unplayable without a trackball or paddle. I really wanted to like the cart, but I’m also not going to lie and say that I think it’s great lol

I agree. Without the track ball they are different games. The track ball is literally 75% of the fun.

Most definitely! I hope Evercade makes a trackball for these games. It’d be a game changer for sure!

Pretty much agree with every word of your review. Cant help thinking these roms were cheap to license because they need particular controllers to properly enjoy them. The name Atari makes many of us remember with fond nostalgia the 2600 from our childhood, but how many of the good games were actually made by Atari?

Great point and question! I’m going to have to look into that. Now I’m curious lol

Really like ATARI as the 2600 was the first console i had . This cartridge didn't really do it for me , i preferred the home versions.

I felt the same way. Something just seemed off about this cart.

I think this is one of the worst carts on the Evercade and I'm an Atari fan. As you say, the games just don't work with a d pad. The Atari home console carts are a lot better than this one.
