Drop in batteries are the way forward for electric motorbikes so you can drive into a "filling station" and exchange your empty batteries for charged ones and ride off. No sitting for ages to charge.
There will be early adoptors, not me. The sound issue isn't about safety, the noise is behind you. The danger is in front of you, very bright headlights are the solution. 1,000,000 miles of proof.
Kawasaki are gonna flop with this bike. 🤔👎 55mph top speed, 41 mile range, almost 4 hours charge time and a whopping pricetag of £8,200 for the privilege!! 🐌↔️🔋🕓🤨💰💸 Anyone who wants to buy an electric bike is gonna wait to see what other things come onto the market or are already around from other manufacturers. There are so many better alternatives to this. This bike severely underperforms in every area. 🙄
👍 in 2025 these will all be on the showroom floor at a 20% discount. Make a product that no one is asking for and see what happens. Electric bike sales are already declining and lack of swappable batteries is not the reason.
@Bold_as_a_Lion I'm not saying I don't have a loud exhaust what I'm saying is in 27 thousand miles of riding with a loud exhaust people still don't see you
@@thatoneweebguy6379 1. because people couldn't really hear you behind them anyway. 2. YOU can hear what's going on around you much better. Just my 2 cents with experience riding thousands of miles on ICE bikes and electric bikes. The electric bike is safer.
Very neat design, nice features, swappable batteries, etc. All winners in my book...except it's almost $8k and gets 41 miles of range. I look forward to this tech getting better, but I just can't justify the price and horrible range. A Honda Grom has similar performance at less than half the price and gets 150 miles on a full tank of gas. Maybe this will be viable once we get to swap batteries at stations like they do in China.
everyone please pay attention, this bike doesn't need driver lisence or insurance , that's the big plus at least for Canada, since bike insurance are to the roof and when you can only ride 3 or 4 months of the year but you have to pay whole year insurance , I think this bike has it's own market.just wish could upgrade the batteries
What a load of time and effort for a bike that travel's 40 miles. My Duke 390 is a much better bike, cost $20 Australian dollar to fill up too travel 120 mils and cost to buy at half the price of that Kawasaki and a top speed of 100 mph.👍
So you take the Lithium batteries into your house? Considering all the news of EV's bursting into flame I dread to think what your home insurance would be!
Very cool except for the fact that its got like 40 miles of range less power than a moped and costs like 7k
$8k+
41 mile range??

We need standardized batteries for this to work

not much proof if you made noise those mil miles is it
Poooor Zero 2010 level but Hey Kawa: we are in 2024, do you know that?!?!?
Kawasaki are gonna flop with this bike. 🤔👎

Because they are expensive rubbish 😂
It would be the same amount of time to steal those batteries.
An E-Ninja? What is this, Ninja with a nerf gun instead of Katana?😂
Will the batteries explode during a crash?
Good system, now just make a proper fast bike for the right price.
Now mention how much each battery cost to replace lol
I don’t want to be on a silent bike in traffic. And the whole fun of bikes is working the gears and being one with the bike. Hard pass!
Dude what? Your bike exhaust isnt going to help you in like 9.9/10 situations
@@theunluckycharm9637 you roll Joe you want to. I’ll roll with an exhaust and an engine.

Congrats. Now you are not only invisible, you are silent too.
Then, become a ghost 😅😅
It's actually safer that way.
Loud pipes save lives it just an excuse Harley owners use to defend the sound of those engines

You cannot even commute for work 41miles range omg kawasaki😂😂
Now, will there be stations along the streets and roads where I can turn in and change my batteries when they're low?
😂😂😂 that’s a no from me boss
Batteries resulting from slavery in small countries
Where sound check?😅
What were they thinking
Does it come with 4 batteries 🤔

This bike is dead on arrival, how much do these little 1.6kw batteries cost?

I love this and solve the issue I would have with charging in my buildings garage.
You in denver???
I wouldn't ride this to my mail box 😅
Dope. This should be a service at a gas station. I give an attendant these rented batteries and get a new already charged pair.
Getting there …. ⏳🔋🪫
Lets not
Now it makes sense why they have such small batteries. The made it hot swappable.
55mph top speed 🤣
It needs to at least go 90 and have a range of at least 100 miles
So you're a motorcycle journalist you know this is stupid but you have to say its good. Be honest ffs.
I love Kawi, but yall giving us a bike no one asked for. How about upgrading the Vulcan 900, Voyager, or Vaquero.
My five-year old granddaughter has something very similar to this.
Yeeeesssss gimmmeeeeee ❤❤
I bet they're full of vape batteries
Thats ninja 400 fairings

news flash
the same battery you're so scared of is in your laptops tablets and phones and are just as dangerous
Do you own a cell phone? What kind of battery do you think is in it?
You guys do realise the battery in a motorbike is going to be significantly bigger than one in a laptop or phone? You do get that right?
Pretty cool. Ice isn't going anywhere, this is just something different.
Almost as easy as filling up with petrol
Disaster 😅
EV Motorcycles are garbage, and deadly in more than a few aspects.
Electric bikes,no thanks 👍
Nope and nope
No thanks

Electric bikes got no soul, not for me boy
Lmbo 😂😂😂😂
