  • First clip is of me being overtaken in a 30 limit then catching up with the same driver 5 miles down the road at a set of lights. He then uses the right turn lane to go straight across the junction :/
    Second clip is of a bunch of impatient drivers at a notorious bottle neck under a bridge. As I'm entering the tunnel, I have right of way...or so I thought......

    This perfectly sums up the attitude of the majority of car drivers around HGV’s. They see a wagon and it’s like they’ve had a lobotomy!

      Sadly this is "normal" for a great majority of drivers nowadays It's part of the "Me Me Me, I'm the only one that matters" culture. A dashcam is a definite necessity now.

    Portsmouth to Basingstoke up the Meon Valley - lovely drive, and I can recommend the food at that pub at the crossroads.

    You know darn well that if you make a complete line of cars all the way around the world, there will be some dummy trying to pass them.

    Hi, how's it going? May I feature this clip on my channel? If so, could you tell me where this happened? Also, do you have any additional details on the incidents? Thanks for your consideration

    Ha ha. That railway bridge in Alton is just wide enough for a truck and a passat... I scared the crap out of someone there. It's a lot wider than it looks

    • @Dieferdan

      It's wide enough for two cars to pass but you won't get a truck and car under there

      Could have been in a hurry, I had a job where i had to deliver parcels by the date printed or they wouldn't be accepted and id be out of pocket £300/£400. One day a crash caused major delays around the city centre and i drove like that over taking wherever possible and got to the depot with 1 minute to spare. Got dirty looks from other drivers though.

    One of the most ridiculous roads systems on the planet. Basically cow paths the Romans built. So narrow that 2 of little pisspot cars they drive there can barely get past each other and round-a-bouts every half mile, which are the dumbest thing ever put into use on roads and are almost never used or built in major roads systems since the late 70's. Driving in the UK is like driving on roads from the late 1800's. Absolutely pathetic.

  • @themrhorseman666
    @themrhorseman666 Před 7 lety +4

    hey do you realise that you drive a truck at all ??? i would overtake you as well as it is nothing but painfull to drive behind you !!! in the rest of the world overtaking is not an offence when the road markings and speed limits apply obviously - what he did on the crossroad was obviously nothing but a pure stupidity..

    • @Dieferdan
      @Dieferdan  Před 7 lety +4

      When he overtook me, I was doing the speed limit of 30MPH...A limit placed there for a reason.....A reason he quite obviously doesn't have to obey then.......

    • @themrhorseman666
      @themrhorseman666 Před 7 lety +2

      Diefers Dashcam UK Channel yup he disobeyed that for sure , and sure he was in a rush and i do not want you to get me wrong at all hahahahaha , thus you must admit that driving behind the lorries on that kind of roads can be dredfull sometimes especially in the situations when you are trying to get somwhere and they do 20mph instead of 30 with nothing in front of them hard not to take them over sometimes there is no way to do so - have seen that a lot...

    • @Dieferdan
      @Dieferdan  Před 7 lety +5

      The problem with the UK is it's a bloody knife edge when it comes to goods vehicles on the roads. A few years ago, the speed limit was increased from 40MPH to 50MPH for HGV's on those very roads which were posted the 'national speed limit' This was to increase the traffic flow after everyone complained about getting stuck behind slow moving trucks...Now everyone is complaining about the speeding trucks on these roads. Everyone else wants trucks and deliveries at night only but then local residents complain about the noise as these stores are receiving those deliveries. Then the cost of goods goes up because these companies have to cover the cost of stores being open later plus wages for staff working nights to receive deliveries...it goes on
      A truck carrying 30 tonnes of Marble will be more unstable than the same size truck carrying 500 kilos of polystyrene balls filled to the brim. The truck in front of you could be carrying horse manure or 20,000 Ming vases that are priceless, the professional driver has to adapt his driving to his load

    • @themrhorseman666
      @themrhorseman666 Před 7 lety +1

      I too think that road speed limits on the roads are a bit of a joke especially when it comes to the motorways - 70mph for the cars - we are in the XXI century for crying out loud??? suppose it was great in the 60`s but things should move on a bit - in some of the countries the limit on the motorways is 90mph and most of the cars in UK are going 90 in anyway but thi is as of the motorways ....
      i wouldn`t complain on increasing the limits where it is possible to be honest - i understand the populated areas where the real danger is but open roads ???
      i think we are all being charged so much money in the road taxes , council taxes and all the utility charges that the roads should be wide and appropriate to the needs - and structure wise nothing has changed in most of the areas for donkeys` years... why not spending all those monies on building the roads specially designed for those lorries (dual carriageways) in the areas where there are no houses - so much land is being left unused and i think it would be greatly beneficial for everybody as the trucks would have their own place for those overnight deliveries as well as normal cars everyone would be happy that way...

    People who just mosey along don't understand that most people who drive fast is not to get where they're going faster. It's about the driving experience and adding excitement to the drive.

      @dannyboyy31 Před 5 lety +2

      That is true. I've always been an 'enthusiastic' driver, have always had fast-ish cars and like to put my foot down. There's still no need for people to drive like a dick though, especially pointless tailgating and dangerous overtakes.

  • @TheTemporary

    1:18 you lost all credibility with that maneouver...car already on it's way through and you floored it to deliberately tru to block it? Nah...bad.

    • @Dieferdan
      @Dieferdan  Před 2 lety

      Traffic in my direction thru the tunnel has right of way, which is clearly signposted the other side. I’m in a long vehicle & currently blocking a mini roundabout. If any more traffic comes thru, it becomes gridlocked. I didn’t ‘floor’ it towards that car, I was trying to make room on the roundabout to allow traffic to flow again. It’s a poorly designed junction that I believe has been totally rebuilt.
