- Mum's on the game, referring to picking up men.
- Dad's in the nick, meaning prison.

On the game is slang for a prostitute and the nick is slang for prison.

Don't worry about Liverpool, the songs are based old stereotypes when the city was actually in a bad place. Now its one of the wealthiest and nicest cities in the North and as you said has hosted events such as Eurovison, and Scousers are not soft they give it back too.
