    He’s so right. I got mad at my mother and didn’t talk to her for about two months. She sent me a letter. “You can be mad and you can decide not to talk to me. But you can’t change the fact I will always be your mother. That is forever. “ So, I came to my senses, and picked the phone and called her. 😊

    When I was a young boy I watched the movie Shenandoah for the first time. The part where Doug McClure asks Jimmie Stewart for his daughter's hand hit me like a bolt of lightning. Jimmie asked if he liked his daughter and he replied he loved her. He said I didn't ask if you loved her but if you liked her. He then proceeded to explain why liking the one you marry is more important than loving them. Or as an old song goes, men are really simple, love is like a pimple, once you squeeze the the juices out it just fades away.

    @observeroflife0000 Před 11 měsíci +5

    Rabbi, I feel it is important to point something out here.
    The theme song from the sitcom "Married with children" and the show itself wasn't to teach us what love and marriage are. It wasn't referring to a proper state of being together.
    The show itself made a mockery of love and marriage, through normalizing dysfunction.
    People found it funny because on some level, by that point, almost every family had a form of dysfunction so they could relate to what they were seeing.
    And by making us laugh about it they "normalized" it, which made our consciences go, "Oh. This is ok. It's funny because it's not just me. It's normal for this to be happening."
    So it "normalized" the dysfunctional behavior we were seeing on the TV as well as within our own home within our conscience.
    It's called predictive programming.
    And the thing is... The amazing thing that Dylan Mulvany brought to the surface intentionally or not...
    Is that this concept of just "normalizing" what we like, but others don't is now seeded in our subconscious mind... Through predictive programming.
    His answer quite plainly to people who were uncomfortable with him pretending to be a woman while wearing tight leather shorts that revealed his "bulge" was...
    Well... Let's just "normalize" the bulge then.🤷
    But believe me when I say that the majority of things that have been "normalized" in our subconscious minds are anything BUT normal human behavior. 👍
    War. Dissension. Outbursts of wrath. Selfish pursuits for selfish purposes. Me, me, me.
    All of it is garbage.
    You can't work together when you are too busy working against each other in a competition to meet your needs or desires, right?
    So what is the answer then?
    I wish I knew. But I do know this... People can't change their ways when they can't see that they need to.
    Censorship doesn't JUST censor what is considered "bad".
    Censorship is also being used HUGELY to keep what IS good buried beneath the surface so VERY FEW CAN SEE.
    See, that the thing about science... Their ideals are geared towards getting results, with no proactive thinking whatsoever.
    It's just like HEY! This WORKS! Wooooo hooo! 🥳 And then they run with it.
    And it works for a while... Until something they never considered a possibility starts happening...
    They discovered they could program our subconscious minds through "television"...
    "tell-a-vision"...
    Not realizing if THEY could do it, once someone figured out what THEY were doing, they could simply begin telling a DIFFERENT vision, that would strongly impact and change the subconscious minds of all of those they have worked so hard to program. 🤷‍♀️
    OOPS. 😬😂
    A woman in a video I watched said there was a big difference between the atmosphere on CZcams and Instagram. She said she preferred posting on CZcams because of it.
    That's because the "vision" that is being told here on CZcams is far different from the vision being told on the other social media sites.
    People should stop being so hard on CZcams for censorship. They have to follow the "laws" too. Despite our circumstances and the hurdles they've had to jump over in this circus of social media, they've continued to allow enough good vision to be spread around to change the entire atmosphere.
    Just think about that for a minute.

    • @benhurn8277
      @benhurn8277 Před 10 měsíci +1

      You make a lot of crucial points about this world we live in today. Ongoing, non stop predictive program is for real. But look how many people keep their "tell-a-vision", are addicted to it, think life just isn't possible without it. Those of us who don't have one are considered shocking, LOL! Be very careful what you allow your mind to be exposed to.

      i am a 73 year old woman with a vast experience with men. I know the difference among all those things and love very clearly. I think many from your community mistake love for things such as respect affection and commitment to community mores and there is nothing wrong with that. I grew up with a community of greeks where many of the older generations had arranged marriages. Some grew in affection and regard and frankly kept the families together and a form of bond of affection came into play. I think of this as Fiddler on the Roof song where he wants to know if golda loves him. He knows the difference hoping it had evolved into that. There really are all sorts of stories in life and this topic cannot necessarily be reduced as handily as this wonderful rabbi attempts to do. I have loved and lost 4 men to deaths from the age of 25 and still feel intense love for them. My second husband was a man I married for reasons other than love he died in '14 and I still feel profound respect for him but it was never love. I do not think any connection i have made, and there have been quite a few, was either fleeting or superficial. @@TroublezAhead00

      @TroublezAhead00 but there still has to be some attraction, some spark that glues things together. If not, then you can basically marry anyone. I guess this is where the Rabbi is coming from. Orthodox marry by being matched, and often meet only a few times before they get married. In essence they know little to nothing about each other

    • @donnasherwood283
      @donnasherwood283 Před 11 měsíci

      many from community would say they have "arranged" meetings not marriages. I think is a little disingenuous as my impression is immense pressure is put on the young to get married. As the ancient romans said "too much familiarity breeds contempt" so maybe this approach has some genuine value to it. Looking at the job our young in the west are doing with all the freedom in the world it may be more sensible. I knew quite a few from the greek immigrant community who had this arrangement and if one values the elusive "happiness" above all else outcome was mixed contempt, disappointment and anger often the result. But more true in our 50% divorce rates of today.@@elysejosephs7302

Most just see this word meaning strong affection and emotions.. which we can have at times.. but the real Definition is CARING and A CHOICE to take a vested interest in SOMETHING. Which means not Always enabling Evil or the fuzzy feelings all the time with it. So YES the MOST HIGH LOVES US and Thank God for that...but it is with PERFECT LOVE which we are trying to learn this more Perfect Love by practicing this with others. Blessings!

When my husband wasn't home men who weren't accompanied by their wives weren't admitted into my home barring a plumber or something. People laughed at me but I was raised to have not only self respect but respect for my spouse. When he left me for a girl he went to high school with I was devastated. I have MS and ended up in a nursing home fir a couple of months. That was 7 years ago. Had he not left me I wouldn't be converting more than likely. Did he not make one being, with flesh and spirit: and what does that one require but godly offspring? You must then safeguard life that is your own, and not break faith with the wife of your youth. (Mal 2:15 NABO)
    While the translations vary, this one makes my point. We all have an eternal partner in life. The creation story is about the earth being created with a plan for salvation and restoration of those who have become corrupted by sin. The sin of Adam is prophetic of the sacrifice, which is made to justify the sentence.

      Agape love is to love the sacredness of the other. I think that most find it difficult to put another first. However, it is impossible to truly love another if you can't love yourself!!!

    Having unconditional love for someone is different than giving it carelessly and spoiling that love. I think having unconditional love is real and if one sets boundaries concerning it, they won't be taken advantage of or condone aspects they don't like. I love a person but he will not be welcome if he thinks and behaves in a manner I deem unacceptable.

    I have MS. After my husband of 27 years left me i was all alone. We had five children in eitht years who were all grown at the time of the divorce but were still at our house a lot) long story short I moved far away and was so lonely it hurt. I ended up in a nursing home for months unable to walk. That was seven years ago. Stress ans lonliness can break a persons emotional, physical and mental health.

      @@pineapplesnoopy1876he did me a favor. Had he not I'd probably still be in a Baptist church keeping my mouth shut most of the time when the pastor said something foolish (Not all the time though) and not worshipping but sitting passively amongst others worshiping a dead carpenter. No offense to anyone but having Hashem and the Torah and rabbis like this man teaching me I'm overwhelmed with joy. The only greater joy will be actually converting. But I have to move. No orthodox synagogue here in Rapid SD
