  • Going through my list of autistic traits that I used for my diagnosis, this video focusing on my restricted and repetitive behaviours. I am a woman with ASD and was late diagnosed, so my traits may be different to the typical traits you know. Like I said, this isn't everything I struggle with as I may not have written them down, or even realised that they are part of my Autism, so please don't comment saying that I don't have certain aspects of ASD.
If you are new, welcome! I post about everything in my life pretty much, it can go from travelling, to talking about my recovery and finding confidence in now being a size 12, to my autism, to inclusive fitness content, to vlogs, to talking about owning a Cocker Spaniel. Let me know if there is anything you want to see đŸ„°
If you want to send me a question without having your name attached, you can send me anonymous questions here: forms.gle/xpFnqXrB2ZRPh3sP7 Just put on the end of the question where you want me to answer it!

I am the same as you. Even if I have something arranged for a particular day, I am in that ‘can’t do anything’ mode on the days leading up to it (not just on the day itself). These things become the centre of my whole week and I can’t stop thinking about them

I just wanted to comment this and give a bit of advice because I too HEAVILY relate to a whole lot of all of this, not only this video but I’ve seen a couple other ones and all I can think (&cry) is omg I need to see about getting a diagnosis, a correct one at that because I do not have mood issues lol
anyway I wanted to share just a little bit on the part you said you had intrusive thoughts, which same, but I was going to say if you experience any other like anxiety you may wanna look into psych medicine, as I was diagnosed with general anxiety and most of the medicines I tried tho they didn’t do much for the depression the one thing they would do is help with that like a lot actually and tbh that’s probably one of the biggest reasons of why I even want to go back get on some kinda medicine again because I think it helped me a lot with that and I did best with that, but yea sorry to ramble, I hope that made sense but just really wanted to share that because if you or anyone else has an issue with that kind of thing and it is really taking a lot out of you I think it may be something to look into as it can be helpful (just if you do remember that each one is different and does respond differently on everyone so while it maybe hard I really think it can be worth it)

I’m autistic and it’s really interesting to me how much I relate to here that I hadn’t even identified as being related to being autistic. Thank you for sharing

Watching your videos (especially the social deficits) was like hearing about myself!! My entire personality in one video. Even spookier to me was how much our music overlaps - I've just come off of a Waving Through A Window repeat listen, only to go and listen to the new FOB album on repeat for 2 days and now listening to one, maybe two songs on repeat (and before all that, was usually one FOB song at a time on repeat for days at a time, and I remember one year at uni it was the Caleb Hyles cover of Defying Gravity for an entire year)...

Hahaha, that's crazy!! I just talked about the new album in my recent upload, which is your favourite song?? I am obsessed with what a time to be alive, can't stop listening to it!!

@Sarah-Louise what a time to be alive is a BANGER and definitely one of my favourites, but Fake Out has shot to the top of my Spotify On Repeat playlist đŸ€© I'm seeing them live in November and I'm SO EXCITED

I’m seeing them in Manchester and have warned my sibling that they better be prepared for me to dance and sing at the top of my lungs all the way through 💀

@Sarah-Louise YESSS im going to lose my mind. I'm toying with the idea of getting a t shirt made as well, just have to design one I'm happy with and loads of people will have the official merch, although i want some of that too but it's expensive and i have the record for this album with the little smiley on already. I never do things by halves 😂
