How to reset wireless CarPlay connection on VLine VL2 or VLite VT2 system - GROM Tech Tip

  • In this short video, we explain how to reset the wireless CarPlay connection if you have trouble connecting to GROM VLine VL2 or VLite VT2 system wireless CarPlay.

    You might need to reset the connection after the iOS update or, generally, when you have trouble connecting to VLine VL2 wireless.
    The same procedure applies to GROM-VLine VL2 and GROM-VLite VT2 aftermarket infotainment systems to add CarPlay and Android Auto to factory car stereos of select vehicles.

    Under "Activate CarPlay UI" mine says disabled. Where can I change this setting? I have paired and unpaired my phone several times. Thanks

      The CarPlay UI will activate automatically once your phone pairs and connects to the CarPlay. If you have troubles connecting, we recommend you to reset the wireless CarPlay connection as it is described in this video.

      Try to reset the connection, reboot the VLine as it shows in this video. Also restart your iPhone.

      @@gromaudio I have. How long should it take for my phone to sync wirelessly to the VLINE2?

      @@gromaudio Latest: Firmware Update “Failed to check for updates - no protocol: FW for ‘HON3’ not found (release).”
      This didn’t happen before. I even set VLINE2 to factory reset and still happens.
      Any work around?
