Even though it sucks that "All Engines Go" is gonna be included in this new range, at least Mattel had the decency to make Wooden Railway 2022 models of Edward and Henry.
Such a shame that the train table in Barnes and Nobles along with Toys R Us years later before going out of business is taken away.... :(

I'm glad that Wooden Railway is back. Because (as much as I think that Wood is okay) these are a definite improvement over Thomas Wood.
Anything is an improvement over that.
The reason the original wooden engines had that notch at the back was for the way the engines were put together aka production reasons. The new toys just do it for the sake of it.

I remember being a little girl and playing with Thomas railroads with my dad. Ahhh this vid bought back so much nostalgia.
This is the only Thomas merchandise that got my attention ever since I first saw it. This looks way better than what we got with Thomas wood! I like the size of these engines with the small, medium, and large sizes along with the correct amount of wheels just like in the TV series! The things I don’t like however are the middle sections of the wheels sticking out and the faces. I wish these engines have normal faces. And as for the wheels, I do wish that they can be a little bit smaller so it can be flushed with the body of these engines, but they don’t look too bad. Overall, great merchandise for Thomas & Friends! Hopefully I’ll get my hands on one of them!
I think Gordon should've had a angry face. These look amazing though and can't wait to see what comes out in the future. I'm hoping for a Flying Scotsman , Diesel 10, Duck and an accurate ryan.
A good review, I got James, just letting you know that when they said All Engines Go stuff would be coming to the range they meant just the new characters and maybe some locations. Everyone will be primarily CGI based, except Carly the crane
Idk why Mattel just woke up and decided to make good merchandise again but not fixing the show, but you know what, I’m here for it, this new line is absolutely great and what Thomas ( merchandise ) desperately needed in the 2020’s, I’m totally gonna start collecting them, this line has a lot of potential to be the greatest thing related to Thomas the tank engine to have ever come out for a while

As for Kenji, I believe he has officially been announced to come out with the wave 2 range (along with Edward, Henry, Emily, Toby etc.) As for as I know, I heard some characters from the reboot series "All Engines Go!" will also be released as well.

I just saw these at the toy store today and I was so suprised. All I've ever seen in years is those awful decal-on-wood trains that look awful. This is great!
Great review and showcase of the new models. Just to let you know but the WR2 Kenji has been confirmed to be based on his CGI look like the others.
Also, All Engines Go is not S25, it’s completely separate from the original show. Common mistake to make but regardless thought you should know.

Apparently is is S25, I've seen the official YT account call it that.
@@blinkyenjoyer The YT account may call it S25 but the official head writer of AEG has confirmed on Twitter that S25 was only the temp name until the reboot got a title. In actuality, it’s S1 of a whole new show.

Holy shit, I remember when I was a kid getting Wooden Railway trains from 1994 - 1999 or so, and I remember the old checklists they had, glad that this was one of many things brought back in this reboot!

my main issue with engines like Emily and James is that their chassis is mounted too high, i know its not that big of an issue, but I do think they could be lowered, also think they should release more faces for each engine, a kid could switch them out depending on what their doing with their toy
I believe Diesel was released with the display hook and the booklet, as well as with greater attention to detail, because he made his debut along side the special edition Thomas at the Day Out with Thomas events nationwide in the USA.

Correction. All Engines Go is NOT S25. It’s confirmed that it’s a separated reboot. AEG is S1.
I ordered james, gordon, thomas, and rosie from amazon and im disappointed none of mine came with pamphlets :( hopefully the wave two engines come with them cus I would love to have one
