Great info Doctor. I took my 9month old who was vomiting and dry heving to Urgent Care and they instructed me to take him to ER because the vomit was a yellowish hue, which means it was mostly bile. I didn't try to feed him or hydrate him for nearly 5 hours. When at the ER, they opted for IV treatment right away. The doctor there said oral rehydration would not have worked. Is there a point where oral rehydration doesn't work and IV is the way to go?

This is so informative Doctor. My daughter was going through stomach flu and I was really concerned about her condition. After watching your video I got lot of confidence and kept on hydrating as per 20:20 rule, within a day she started improving & back to normalcy.

My son had a fever and threw up on Monday night and had a fever for a day in half. Two days later had diarrhea. Now complaining about stomach pain but only lasts a couple of seconds to 2 minutes where he's crying but then as soon as it disappears he says he's much better its now Saturday.

It can absolutely linger! Sometimes can jump back two weeks after improvement! Hopefully youre feeling better
@@pedsdoctalktv9960 why has my belly hurting for abt 3 days I don't poop all that much tbh, definitely not vomit, and the pain would usually go and come (come more in night tbh).

I also get acid reflux/ bile reflux in early morning around 3 AM and I feel burning in my mouth and ulcer in the palate of my throat near the tooth, I hope peopke get benefit from your video.

I've been unwell for a week, weak and dizzy,dont want food,only started vomiting and getting the hershey squirts for the last 2 days. Kiddo,a teen,is eating lightly and drinking plenty of water
Aw I'm so sorry. Make sure to seek medical care if showing signs of dehydration, sometimes IV fluids are important to aid in recovery. Hope you all feel better soon!

This was a very helpful video, but did you mention resting? Another way for your child to get better is to get plenty of rest. I always found out that resting would always make me feel better within the next day or two.

I’ve been vomiting for 3 weeks now. I already went to the hospital but they didn’t find nothing.
amazing content for poor worried mothers like e… my baby got intestinal infection even when he was 20 days old, blood sells pus cells mucus… n doctors give him lots of antibiotics… i don’t know what to do now he is 5 mnths old n still he gets the same problem every month m so worried should we give antibiotics every month isn’t to much for a baby??? i breastfeed him for 4 months n my homies blaming my milk that its not good for him he is sick bcuz of your bad milk… so i stoped breastfeeding n started lectos free but now after 1/2 months later he got the same problem m so sad n broken that it wasn’t bcuz of milk i really wanted to breastfeed him😢💔 plz help a mother what should i do??? give him again antibiotics???

He really need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist. I don’t think is good for a baby to have so much antibiotics.

I have 1 year old daughter (My first child).Just last week Sunday she started to have of Appetite but she is drinking milk well and likes to eat Biscuit (Breakfast crackers the only food she wants to eat and the rest of the food she refuses it).so I thought maybe she is teething
But than From Thursday 26/01/23 I start to notice that she is not urinating and pooping at all and only few wet diapers .

My daughter had the bug and stopped vomiting for 3 days and kept down mild food. We thought she was over it so she had some pizza on day 3 and threw it all up. How long should they have a mild diet after they stop vomiting?
It's different for different people but I'd continue at least a day after the last episode of vomiting and let the child guide what they want to eat to make sure they're past the worst of it. Hope she's feeling better!

OK, like I am 17 years old. A teen or an adolescent. In the medical world, like there is no exact dividing line between 'child' and 'adult' At 17. So, like am I still considered to be a 'child'? (BT, I came across this video like I now have like gut pain and diarrhoea that has been for 5 days). Thanks
Typically individuals 18 and under are treated in the pediatric world (still seen by pediatricians, in childrens' hospitals etc) and sometimes up to age 21 depending on the clinic/hospital. Even though you're still considered a "pediatric" patient you're still a teen and care will be catered to your age. I hope that answers your question!
Tbh I have stomach problems but I woke up at 3am and I started feeling sick and then I went back to bed and it still hurts 😢😢
If you have chronic or long lasting stomach problems I'd encourage you to talk to your clinician! They should be able to help you figure out the cause and find a solution❤

I’m like a bit over 72 hours of diarrhea but no vomit
My baby is 2 and since he born he been vomiting what can i do to stop it? Its not projectile but he always vomit food , milk anything. I thought it was a dairy allergy but he vomi everything and the doctors not giving me a practical ans or the help i need.
I’m so sorry you’re not getting any help. I’d seek a second opinion if your pediatrician hasn’t looked into things or given you things to try, or it may be helpful to see a GI specialist especially if symptoms have persisted this long. They can do a thorough work up in what may be causing the vomiting. Best of luck ❤️

Good morning my child have been vomiting for pass three days now and is complaining about stomach pain and feeling weak all days
all these American things recommended, like Pedialyte.. no no no
Pedialyte pops were a saving grace for my family, and especially my 4-year old who just had a stomach bug. He threw up 30+ times within 24-hours along with diarrhea. Zero dehydration in any of us thanks to Pedialyte.
Pedialytes are life savers! Both my little ones take them every time they get sick no issues.
Pedialyte has electrolytes in it, which is essential for rehydration. Don't watch American videos if you don't like how we do things here.
And get stomach aches

My son had Covid at 2 weeks old. We all got it from a family member from out of state. The little guy did better than all of us. He kicked its a** lickily split. But he did have diarrhea. I understand your stress with the whole Covid situation. It's a politicized nightmare that was handled extremely carelessly. But I'm telling you it's real it's out there, and it sucks.
