this was very satisfying, he managed to accomplish the challenge, and instead of just ending the video there, he quickly finished his opponent like it was nothing
Well his opponent was 100 rated. He previously ended videos saying everything more after the completed challenge was just him smurfing and he wouldn't do that.
For those saying he never explained the score, well I dont know, but I have a guess: there's a 2 second behind the scene bit at the end, where he got black and said "Oh fu-". So assuming you can rematch (dont use the site, I dunno), I suppose Simp resigned and rematched to get White
as an added bonus, you also visited Lithuania apparently in the opening. But also I am pretty sure "the italian developing style" for the bishopS (notice the plural) was supposed to be double fianchetto
I thought fianchetto was an Indian thing because fianchettoing is often done with the King's Indian. EDIT: I didn't realize that fianchetto was an Italian word, but now that begs the question why is fianchettoing often used for Indian defenses if it's an Italian word.
@@GTron13Fianchetto is italian for little flank, which is what the bishop is occupying when it goes to b2/b7/g2/g7. As for the indian defenses, indian chess (chaturanga) doesn't have 2 space pawn moves so they often start by developing the knights.
I don't know if you can still do the English opening and/or develop your bishops Italian style as black. That's my guess, as someone who doesn't know what those moves are.
In the end of the video (after the outro song at 4:04), it shows Simp starting as black. I'm guessing you need to start as white for the English opening.
"Developing bishops in the Italian style" might also refer to Fianchetto? And that's way more compatible with the English Opening, I think? If there can be another word or "the French move", then there can be a specific word for "Italian-style Bishop development", too.
props on this one, well excecuted, challenge accomplished, and nice fast-forward checkmate though i think developing the bishops italian style may have referred to fiancettoing them

@@remil3777 If the challenge creator wants fianchetto, they should say fianchetto. Talking about "Italian style" right after talking about the English Opening really really makes it seem like it's a reference to the Italian Game.
I saw that queen blunder coming all the way back from when he played d3. If there’s one thing that 100s don’t understand, it’s that bishops can capture from their home square lol
You use an Italian accent text to speech whenever you use the word "fianchetto" in a video yet here you don't presume "develop bishops Italian style" means fianchetto? 😄
@@bufar That's true, especially as the square for the other bishop is covered by the e5 pawn in the Italian game, but I still think it would've been more faithful to the challenge's wording to sacrifice a bishop on f4, especially as the wording is "develop your bishops Italian style" not "develop your bishops as you would if playing the Italian game". Sorry, that was a bit long winded.
I mean, chaturanga was invented in India. But the variant with the super strong queen and bishops was invented in Spain. Probably because they had a super strong queen and bishops in the real world.
"I'm sure chess wasn't born in the US" We in the USA like to make absurd claims sometimes, but this one would be a little much even for us. No, we did not find a way to retroactively invent a game that originated over a thousand years before we were a country.
China has a different version of chess. chinese friend explained it to me. he said the way we play chess is stupid because there are so many exceptions to the way pawn moves.
Did anyone even see the 0-1 score with the opponent? That means that he had either got the black pieces in the first game and resigned and offered a rematch or just played with this guy in an earlier video and got lucky enough to play him again
