I am amazed many time how our Church of Christ churches have such talented singers. They learn the different parts by listening to their parents and other church members sing. Perfect four part harmony and most have no training in music or sight reading music.
My 9 year old daughter loves this song to much she repeats it 8 times a day she went to the Paediatrician and on the way we listen to Awesome God song and she sing it so loud ❤️

Wonderful! I attended LCU many many years ago. It was LCC. My parents went to ACC. My grandfather was Foy Smith, he passed away in 1991. His wife Mabel had passed away a few months earlier and we had sent Papaw back to his first church in Oklahoma to preach a week long meeting. On the last day, he stood up to preach and smiled, dropped his Bible and died immediately from a broken heart (aneurism). He missed his wife so desperately. I’ve lived a near picture perfect life. I had amazing grandparents, parents and now amazing wife, children and now grandchildren. I’ve lived on a very large cattle and sheep ranch, been in the Navy, worked in many different jobs over my life. From rancher to Airline Captain, to the owner of a luxury home builder and remodeler. I’ve seen and lived much. I believe Jesus is the son of God as he said and as his disciples and those who witnessed his death burial and resurrection attested to…. I’ve lived in the U.S. when it was a beautiful safe nation that even in its deepest problems still acknowledged Gods blessing and sovereignty. Today after abandoning Christ and making it illegal for Christ to be taught in public schools, something that was always a central part of public education, we have gone from the most admired nation to one of the most hated. We now have children murdering children, young adults killing children in schools, the highest recorded rates of STD’s among youth and adults that far exceeds those who do not have a STD… we have leaders demanding we acknowledge women as men and men as women. We ignore even the science behind sexuality and facts in order to push the GLBT cult of sex and debauchery. We make hero’s and Demi gods out of movie stars and athletes who are horrific examples to children. We have more money and wealth than in any other period of history. Our poor are most likely to die from obesity related illnesses and even with the wealth and comfort the suicide rates keep climbing. The vast majority of kids who grow up in church will leave church in college and never return, and within 30 years most churches in the US will have closed their doors permanently. As we destroy ourselves, Powerful enemies are growing in strength and as they do so they are Allying themselves with the stater goal of destroying the U.S., Israel and Christianity. But even with all of the world flocking to Satans darkness, when everyone seem to be hell bent on silencing Christs influence, his church my mind can always go to the beauty of hymns that remind us of scripture and the hope we have in our salvation and the promises God made to us.

Last time we sing this at the church I’m Brazil my cousin Leo was alive hi was the one found on internet that version ant brought to us we took less than a hour at my moms living room to put together thus don’t to perform at church.. a group of talent and skilled vocalists from our family .. was the last time we song together!! Leo died in December 2013 at age of 19th and his musician , his smile , his talent and his presence has been missed ever since !!
