Thanks for giving me another option Fordy, I love Superblast so much and never look back since then ..even bought 2 pairs! Now I might give SC Trainer v2 a try

Really appreciate this first review Fordy! I'm really loving the SC Trainer v1 now although it took about 30-40 miles to get rid of an annoying collar rub I got with it. I love the squish of it and it's always been kind to my legs during and after a long run.
But I also see how some people couldn't get on with it - the stack was probably a bit too stacked and I can totally see how overpronators would have felt like it was behaving like jelly on a plate.
Super excited about v2 and it really sounds like they have perfected it (as much as I love it, at times I did feel that v1 was a bit of a prototype for what they REALLY wanted to do with it tbh).
I hope you did wear it on the 10 miler Fordy as I reckon that could be the sweet spot for the shoe if racing in it. Well looking forward to seeing how you get on with it!

Great review, I have been thinking about getting this shoe to add to my rotation. I currently have the Nimbus 23, Puma Forever Run and Speed 3. So should I add the Superblast, SC 2 or Kinvara Pro.
I really love my Asics Superblast, but i might try these NB SC Trainer 2 out!

The Truimph is a cruiser these are more a shoe that you take into race dsy

They also changed the enery arc cavity the side walls are more angular vs being straight walls in V1. Curious to see what the durability will be like ive put 200km into my sc elite v3 and they are pretty chewed up

Can I ask a bit of advice? I’ve been running almost entirely in saucony speed 3s, I have Novablast and nimbus 25 but the feel I get in the speed 3 can’t be compared. I need to buy a new pair for my first half in a few weeks, but I’m not keen on the colour ways that are now available in my size (I know, girl problems!) is this show a good alternative? I can try them on my treadmill so I don’t mind buying stuff and returning them if they don’t work but want to know if you get the same light snappy feel of the speed 3s? And when you say in between sizes do they run a bit small or long?
So many plated trainers running shoes available that is hard to decide which one to pick ! Especially if we are not training for a race, but just running for fun.

Looks great but I'm really loving the sc elite v3 and don't see why you'd get this as I have no problems daily training in the elite.

Are you running the New York Marathon Fordy? I hadn't heard 😄 Great video as ever, I nearly bought V.1 of these but they didn't fit and the bigger sizes were out of stock. Ended up with some RC Elite V.2 in the sale so will stick with them for now!

I still have a fairly little used RC Elite 2. This is pretty close to it. It is probably a good shoe, but I will pass on this. I might pick them up next year on discount once I retire a few shoes.
Thanks Fordy! I got my pair for Fathers Day here in the states. Curreny recovering from surgery and am about 2 weeks away from being able to train again, but can not wait to get them on my feet. I must say that the ONLY thing i have disagreed with you on was your take on V1. But really looking forward to v2 since you have gotten on ok with them. Keep up the awesomeness!!!

What's the difference between the SC Trainer 2 and the SC Elite 3? I really like the look of the SC Trainer 2, but I have the RC Elite V2, and wonder whether the SC Trainer 2 would be interesting enough to add, over the SC Elite 3.

Looks better than V1 in terms of looks but also agree on the lack of stability of V1, at least when I tried it on in the store.

Been waiting an age for these in the UK but, and it's a BIG BUT, an elephant in the room-sized butt, the price!! It's £210, which is the equivalent of $270 in the US. Come on New Balance there is absolutely no justification for that sort of hike. Being Brits we've quietly sucked up the price parity on trainers for years - ie, $179 in the US ending up as £179 over here - but this is just downright greed.
At least Dick Turpin wore a mask - probably not a New Balance one though.
I love the V1, however, being a very small, lighter runner I really feel the weight on long runs and I felt it was more unstable than Invincibles which I'd previously used through three marathon cycles.

Did they improve the rubber on the outsole? Because on the previous version it’s really bad and I have the pictures and log to prove it 😂

@@FordyRuns Ok, my left outside heel have no rubber left and is now loosing the foam. This started around 350km. The Elite V2 have 440km on them and still going strong - should have been the trainer that lasted the longest imo. I’ll pick up the SC trainer V2 next week and bring them to Marbella 🥰😎
I already knew this was going to be a positive review on the shoe. It has to be if Fordy still wants to be on the BITR New Balance NY marathon team. 😂 I have yet to find anyone liking this version over v1.
You could say that but then again you maybe wrong and I will say anything I want regardless... thats why I am on the team because I am not afraid to say it how it is....
Sure, you can say anything you want but if you want to continue to have relationships with companies or participate in events, you have to play along. The whole idea of them having you and other influencers on the NY team is to promote the hell out of these shoes. I assume you are running the race in the SC Elite v4? 😂

To be fair Fordy you could see why someone may be skeptical. I’ve always been a big NB fuelcell fan from the Elite V1 to the Sc Trainer and everything inbetween, and I have noticed over the years you have never liked them, now all of a sudden you start liking a NB Fuelcell shoe, and now you have comments turned off on your latest race review of them….anyway it’s your channel so you’re free to do as you wish. @@FordyRuns better in what aspect? I mean, RC Elite v2 has established itself as super cushioned racer, but can it now be regarded as trainer now in your opinion? Does SC Trainer v2 perform any differently given that specs and tooling are very similar?

Well, what should I say? I told you so? The "superfoams" are winning across the different types of shoes over EVA. Waiting to see the stability shoe with a superfoam (sorry, Tempus is underwhelming for me, to put it mildly). Maybe we should change the terminology. Maybe all these new foams should be called smartfoams. Vs the old EVA foams that we should call now dumbfoams. Like with phones 😂
Good hint, thanks for this NB shoe review. I'm doing most of my runs now in Superblast. I will think about this NB shoe. Depending on price. NB super trainer V1 was much more expensive in the EU than in the US. I never considered buying it. The same case will be here. If it is cheaper than 200 € (180 maybe like in the US) I might consider it. If not, well, I think I will pass, that's for sure. I don't like the looks either. The racer looks much better (the white one and the yellow one), but I don't need it either with so many fantastic shoes I have already in that category. At some point they all will have to drop the prices. Everyone now has a great shoe, even Mizuno 😂.
Except maybe Altra and Brooks 😂.

Disappointing isn't it. I love NB Fuelcell but I feel they just have their pricing all wrong. Can get the SC Elite 3 for £176 at moment. May as well pick that up instead!
