  • On this episode of From The Fog: Resurrection, I start my progression on my deepslate castle that'll eventually become a nightmarish masterpiece of mine. We also adventure down into the deep dark mines where we know that we are not alone down there.

09 Herobrine makes his first appearance.
18 Snazzy castle. The fog makes it creepy. Herobrine probably approves.
21 Pillagers here to pillage the castle. Ironically appropriate.
09 That has to be the creepiest cave entrance revealing I've seen in quite awhile. The way it "lit up" from the white fog like a door (just like you described it as well) and the unsettling yet appropriate music playing is just _creepy_ (yet perfect for the setting.) I was half-expecting Herobrine to jumpscare you at any moment there.
22 That whole scene as you went in reminds me of something. I can't quite put my finger on it, though. It's very similar to those liminal spaces or foggy horror games released over the years. A haunting reminder of why the old alpha/beta days were unsettling when exploring alone.
00 Herobrine tree
19 The horse got both of us 😆
42 That was ominous timing.
30 This reminds me of the old White Eyes stories that later evolved into Herobrine. One of them involved a player going back to their original cabin with a mine in the back where they encountered the creature known then as "White Eyes". The difference here being those caves in the stories were pitch dark where as yours are white fog with Silent Hill vibes.
48 "This episode will be super uneventful." The cave dweller audibly disagreed.
37 Speak of the devil and he appears (to give you a redstone torch.) lol
00 That was definitely the mining + redstone torch placement noises.
11 He does indeed open doors on occasion.
40 Speak of the (other) devil and he appears. lol
44 Speaking of redstone, if you ever want an interesting floor or path I recommend using a Silk Touch pickaxe to grab the ores intact and use them for the tiles. When you walk on them they turn on and emit those redstone particle sparks. (Also good if someone/something is stalking you.) It's the visual counterpart to amethyst blocks, which are audible when walked on.
08 I disagree. A lightning rod may be of use to you. (Not sure if it affects the Man from the Fog's lightning, but it will keep normal lightning focused away from you and not-so-fireproof forests 😉)
16 He heard you mention redstone torches and decided to be generous. lol
24 I hate that glitch. Usually F3 + A fixes it (force chunk reload). The Librarian had that happen in one of his episodes too. I've also had that happen somewhat frequently, especially while mining for long periods.
48 Those sounds always get me when in places like that.
54 You spoke too soon.
31 Not a bad scenic view for a screenshot 👍
This episode didn't disappoint. The scares were perfectly timed (I swear these entities are intelligent sometimes) and the scenery was aptly creepy and unsettling at times.
And I do suggest taking my idea of a lightning rod. Last thing you need is an act of Zeus smiting you or a forest fire (again). 😉
