    Hopping on a new set of trails without a local friend can be intimidating. Which loop should I do? How long is the climb? Where do we turn again? Tackle your ride with confidence using this sneak peek of 360 Trails, a lesser-known multi-use mountain biking trail system near Gig Harbor, Washington.Living and mountain biking near Seattle is outright unfair to the rest of the country. We've got thousands of miles of world-class trails within 30 minutes, and many more within an hour or two. 360 Gateway Park mountain biking trails are no exception.
    Built and maintained to perfection, 360 trails have a little bit of something for everyone. There are XC trails galore, rad jump lines, a pump track, plenty of parking, and so much more. Whether you're at a beginner mountain biking level, or an advanced jump line level, this is a fantastic place to spend a Saturday or just take a post-work weekday lap. Do a lap around the outside edge of 360 for some XC mountain biking action, or hit the jump line progression of If you want some of the best peninsula mountain biking around, 360 trails at Gateway Park has you covered.

    Great video! I love riding 360. Such a gem to have so close to my home (15 minutes away). I can't wait to see more of your trail videos

    Great video as always Claire! Have you ever checked out Lord Hill in Snohomish? The signage is REALLY lacking there so mountain bikers visiting for the first time can often leave disappointed without finding any of the good trails (Me 5 years ago). I think the place could really use one of your tour videos because if you can find the mountain bike trails it's such a gem for both XC lovers, and those looking for steep, rowdy, and flowy descents! Happy to point you in the right direction of a "grand tour" route if you decide to stop by!

      Rad, thanks, Mick! It's been a minute since I rode Lord Hill, thank you so much for the suggestion! I'd love to get a tour next time I'm out that way. Feel free to reach out via email or dm on facebook so we can get in touch.

    360 rides much better in the wet. It drains very well and gets quite loose in the summer.

    Oh wow thanks for this! Funny how I go for the bigger more expansive trails and area, ie Tiger and Tokul but miss these fun little hidden gems. Adding to bucket list! Also not sure if you've done a tour of Banner since it's nearby, would love to see if that's changed since I haven't been in a long time.

      @ClaireJencks  Před 2 lety +2

    Would love it if you made a video about Pilchuck tree farm!

    • @ClaireJencks
      @ClaireJencks  Před 3 lety

      Thanks so much, Dan! I love riding Pilchuck but it's probably not high on the list because it's private landowners who don't want maps published. (I don't do vids of unsanctioned or private trails unless I've got express permission). Thanks for the idea though - let me know if there are other places on your radar that I can feature!

    A bunch of Seattle and Portland showing up that's all we need around here

    • @ClaireJencks
      @ClaireJencks  Před 2 lety

      Luckily both of those areas also have amazing trail systems, so if you’re in the neighborhood please stop by - we love visitors and are happy to show you around. More mountain bikers = more money for trails = more fun.

      @@ClaireJencks why in the hell would I pay to ride trails in either one of those places. Absolutely not. The crime and homelessness. Probably end up bring your car stolen or assaulted if you spend too much time in Seattle. When they start funding the police and restore law enforcement back to the numbers they should be at. And start holding the ones breaking the law accountable I'll consider spending money in either one of those places. Not until then

    Awesome! I was just there the other weekend. Have you ridden at Black Diamond Open Space/Summit Ridge? It is a great bike park between Black Diamond and Maple Valley. I think it would make a great video, but it can get complicated with how many trails they have out there. I also loved your video on Tokul, used it to help me and my buddy get around there. Keep it up!

    • @ClaireJencks
      @ClaireJencks  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Max! Thanks so much for watching and for the Tokul kudos. That one was particularly fun to film. I have indeed ridden at BDOS - totally agree - great place with so many trails. I'm mulling on a good way to make an overview/route through there that captures the spirit of the place. Stay tuned - I'll be putting out many more videos once the summer really kicks into gear.
