I lived here for four years before having to move back to Missouri. Gig Harbor is still my favorite place of all time & I like to think I actually grew up as a man there. Love the place and would love to be back there!
Come on back! We love it too :)
I would honestly move back in a heartbeat if I had the funds to do so! PNW will forever have my heart! 😊
I am planning on staying there on a yacht for my birthday in March 2023. Can you tell me what to expect? I would also like to plan on purchasing my first home there.
10/10 would recommend Hawkins and Poe Team. Moved to Washington from AZ about 6 months ago and Whitney and the team helped me find the dream property in Gig Harbor. Super friendly, knowledgeable and overall great people!
Thank you so much for the kind words, we have loved getting to know you and your family!
I love the bloopers at the end of the video 😂
That is our favorite part 😁
i was so high watching this video but it was a good video i want to live in the pnw so bad
That's awesome! We'd love to have you!
Considering a move from Maui. Gig Harbor looks beautiful
It is, the amount of water will make you feel right at home... and from what I recall Maui gets plenty of rain;)
We'd love to be of help to you in that search! key2see.com
I moved from the Gig Harbor area (Fox Island) 5 years ago to the Big Island. I’d never move back! Can’t beat sun, sand, and surf! The realtors are misleading you on taxes…very high compared to other areas in Pierce v County.
Love Gig Harbor
Its hard not to fall in love with it here! We are certainly head over heels!
I have an honest question for y’all. You make it sound so amazing but honestly do any of you suffer from seasonal depression during the winters?
That's a great question! Check out our video centered around weather in Gig Harbor! czcams.com/video/aZtWiN7RwP0/video.html
In this video we discuss ways to alleviate the effects that winters can have on some people.
Can you expand on the ferry option to Seattle?
We sure can! Check out out CZcams video that goes a little bit further in depth on the local Ferry options! czcams.com/video/STarkmWrO8Q/video.html
My wife and I are physicians and we are thinking of moving there form the Midwest to be closer to my oldest daughter. She lives in Lynwood. What is the closest medical facility where we could inquire about employment?
Thanks for reaching out! Gig Harbor has a wonderful hospital, St. Anthony's right in town - there are also a number of hospitals within a short drive north in Silverdale and Bremerton and quite a few east in Tacoma.

I am a nurse and moving there
I haven’t watched the entire video but I’m curious if you will mention the impact of the relaxed drug laws 🤔
My Wife and kids have been trying to move there for quite a while. She lived there as a child and has always wanted to go back. We’re hesitant now. We follow the GH Police department and it looks like a nightmare
We have never looked at the statistics for drug charges in our area but the three of us have spent the majority of our lives living here and have never heard of or seen drug issues here at all. What did you see at the GH Police Department that alarmed you?

Did you seriously delete my comment? Will you delete this one, too? 🫤
@@donutviper1 I don’t see a deleted comment, apologies. Let us know if we can answer more questions.
Gig harbor needs more breakfast locations. The crowds are crazy at the few locations they do have.
You should visit the newly opened Original
Pancake House on the top of Soundview, it’s great… and there’s a lot of seating!
@@JenniferHawkins1821 Been there like 5 times already. When they first opened you had a line out the door. Haha. Not bad now that it’s been open for a while and kids are back in school.
Gig Harbor truly is one of a kind.
We couldn't agree more!
It's a gem & always will be. A very sacred gem at that!
Honest question, is there a general dislike when Californians mover there? Seems like the idea of me moving to any other state is frowned upon by locals because I am from CA. Wasnt my choice to be born here lol
We have not picked up on that sense at all! Sellers get very excited when they find out its a Californian Buyer because they are typically coming from a very strong real estate market and have the funds to put together great offers!
Yes, they don’t want Californicators in Washington.
We may be biased, but Gig Harbor is one of the best waterfront communities in the PNW 😊 Couldn’t help but notice our across-the-street business neighbors at the 1:09 mark, the Gig Harbor General Store, they always have great food, coffee, & local based artist offerings & Gig Harbor swag. Of course we are also a locally owned business, stop in anytime for your spa needs🧖♀️
Couldn't agree more!
We dont need a ferry to Seattle, because Seattle is now completely trashed. Maybe a ferry to Bellevue.
a ferry to Bellevue would be awesome! I still love to catch a good game in downtown Seattle though.
It rains all the time. Way to many people. Over population is causing major traffic issues. I wouldn't recommend moving here.
Our little town is having some growing pains aren't we. It's tough to keep a good thing a secret forever. Thanks for reaching out.
You must be the life of the party.
So I put a offer on a house in Gig Harbor and I’m worried about the diversity as a black woman ! I just don’t want to end up living in a neighborhood and someone call the cops on us cuz they assume we don’t live in the area 😫
@@hevanedges3715 zero diversity
@@davidcarlson3132 Have you lived there a long time? My Point was even though there are a lot of upper class white folk that live in the area they tend to be very friendly and accepting to those who may not be in the same social or ethnic circle. Also Tacoma being right next door is a very diverse city. Only way diversity changes in a area like GH are if more people of different ethnicities move there and surrounding small towns. Small town minds like to shut themselves into their own little world and not be as acceptable towards outsiders
Hi, my name is Zenobia and I am black. My mom and dad are as well. My parents purchased a house in 1997 in Wollachet Heights so that my siblings and I could have a better education. The neighbors greeted us and told us we were the 1st ever black family to move in and handed us. Home made pie. They were nice. I was the only black girl in my class from 3 grade until high school. I was only made fun of once in elementary school due to my skin tone and once in middlle school for my hair but overall I had a lot of friends and I was active in sports. I went on to go to college and had two kids and I am now signing paper work for my house in Gig Harbor tomorrow. I feel like it is safe and quant and I want my two children to have the same opportunities as me.
Welcome to the neighborhood.
So my offer didn’t end up going through and we ended up buying a home in Belfair. Which I’m even more nervous about. But the housing was a great opportunity! So if y’all have any advice for there that would be amazing also
That's wonderful Zenobia... congratulations on your new home
Are you guys single so beautiful
ha! thanks so much. nope all three happily married ;)
