I am terrible at math but I watched a bunch of your Accuplacer test videos before taking my test yesterday and I passed!! God is so good :)

You have done very well sir and thank you . I want to make a change in my life and go back to college I been out since 1987 it’s now 2019 I don’t know math that well as the set and equations or ratio I believe I would have to waste a half a year due for lack of knowledge of mathematics

I’m taking a college level accuplacer test and need a score of 39. They gave me a study guide and all the problems looked like a foreign language, because it’s been so long. I’m confident I can do math, I just can’t remember any of it. I’m hoping your videos will help!

Haven’t practiced Algebra since 2001. I have an Accuplacer Test in 4 days. Just watching this video calmed my nerves. Awesome tip for process of elimination. The test isn’t timed so, I’ll definitely use it were applicable. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with others.

I have an Accuplacer test in 5 days. I have been studying the best I can. I went over all of the Math Antics videos and am viewing these videos as of now.
Enrolling for 2020 Spring Semester. I struggled with Math when I started Algebra my Sophomore year; then Geometry was horrible. Those are my targeted study areas. I moved out of state early my Sophomore year and somehow was enrolled as a Junior in new school. Geometry at new school, I did not have a clue. I never had to take the Algebra??

Love your teaching style. I bought your tacs math in August and I did the exam in December amd and I passed. Now I'm ready to go to community college and I'm not sure which accuplacer to study for. I called but they say study GED. Can anyone help me understand im in NY.
If you don't have a diploma, then you'll probably need to get a GED to substitute for a diploma in order to go to college (no matter how well you do on accuplacers). If you do have a high school diploma, though, then you don't need to take a GED test. If they were recommending you take a GED then they probably were under the impression that you don't have a high school diploma, whether that's true or not. I hope that helps!
@@ItsAsparageese thank you I have a high school diploma i didn't the last exam on December which I passed. When I said i don't know which accuplacer to study for I recently relized that you have to study Next genearation quantitative, Arithmetic and advanced Algebra and function to get in the community college.

I dont know anything but accounting but my guess would be no. You will have to ask the accounting teacher at your school if that stuff is required for an accounting degree.

Hey everyone, In this week I would be doing the accuplacer math test of MWCC.

That guy's a Math Teacher! Look a the example he gives: 3X squared - X = -5 Any X squared will be positive and there are three of them, and the are offset by only one negative X. How could that ever equal a negative number. Just whip out the Quadratic Formula and if the Determinant, you know, the Root Part, if it comes up with a Negative then that means there is no Solution (you solve equations like that by bringing the constant on the right over to the left and making the trinomial equal to zero and then check to see whether it is even possible for it to equal zero, and usually if you have a large positve constant and a small middle X term, well, that means that the Curve will never cross the Zero line and that means NONE OF THE ABOVE. But Genius here will have you waste time doing plug ins. How long does it take you to do three plugs ins, and the guys point was to help you save time. yeah, sure.

I really need this for my premed classes but math is not my best subject. I’ve already taken it twice and got a score of 200 in each session. Tutoring didn’t work for me. This is my only solution. I’ll update you’ll if it works.

Bcuz 2 goes into 20

2*10=20
so 2x = 20, so you divide both sides by 2 so that you can get x by itself, which is the ultimate goal in equations. so 2x/2 = x because the twos cancel out, and 20/2 =10 so what is left in the equation is x = 10, idk if you took the test or not yet but if you havent and are still confused you can just substitute the x with the answers A-D and do all of the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division until both sides of the equal are the same and the one that makes them equal is the answer.
when minus crosses over equal sign it becomes plus so 11 + 9 = 20, so 2x = 20 make x the subject of the formula x = 20/2 = 10
