  • Ecor Pro's technical expert Jerry Gibbs shows how to set up the powerful Ecor Pro dehumidifier to dry out a flooded home or indeed to be installed as a permanent fixture to combat excess condensation, dampness or mould and in the extreme bad odours. Don’t upset the running of the home and needing the residents to have to vacate if th dry air is focussed to where it is needed.
120V supply 60 Hz that can be run off a 12V DC-110V AC converters , auto power reset in case of power supply interruption. “3-hole” technology commercial desiccant dehumidifier; water removal (at 80?F / 60% RH - AHAM) - 53 pints/day (25 liters); 74 pints/day (34 liters) maximum extraction. Operating range from -4?F up 104?F maximum room temperature for continuous drying applications, with 267 CFM air volume capacity (223 CFM - exhaust / 44 CFM - regen air flow). Highly efficient, very quiet fan operation (56dB) and yet low energy consumption in use for large moisture extraction capacity. Desiccant Rotor is the heart of the EPD150 dehumidifier. It is an array of specially absorbent membranes arranged as a series of corrugations to give a vast surface area making it an extremely efficient moisture collector. It is encased in a galvanized steel ring and turns on high quality sealed ball bearing units. Uses a ceramic PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) type regen heater, which means the heating element can never overheat to hazardous temperaturs, even if the regen airflow is completely blocked. Uses patented “RadiCal” backward curved fan unit, highly efficient yet quiet system, designed to give a good balance of both “Process” and “Regen” airflows Compact and smallest desiccant dehumidifier in its class, can be easily transported without the fear of water leaks after residual water in the tank; all metal construction inside and outside designed for longevity; removable carrying handle for easy transport and mobility; and anti-scratch four plastic feet that can be swivelled out to make four anchor points so that the unit can be mounted with suitable screws to walls/ceilings or simply fastened down onto a surface; IPX1 rating which means the unit can still operate even in more damp conditons. Equally robust controls can be linked to an optional remote humidistat or switched over to manual control with on/off switch. Built-in analogue amp meter that can review performance and measure energy consumption; an hour meter that measures the number of hours the machine is in operation - an ideal feature for the rental industry. Wet air-out ducted with 3.15 inch diameter ducting - OPTIONAL; Damp air-in / dry air-out can be ducted with 5″ inch diameter ducting - optional. 56dB Process air in 5″ - Process air out 5″ - Exhaust air 3″

Desiccant dehumidifiers or adsorption dehumidifiers as sometimes called dry differently to refrigerant dehumidifiers. Those dry by creating the coldest surface in the room in order to condense moisture from the air by condensation. With desiccant dehumidifiers, inside there is a desiccant wheel impregnated with a material that absorbs moisture even at temperatures below freezing. That moisture is given up when heat is applied which is done on a continuous basis inside the Ecor Pro desiccant dehumidifier.

Refrigerant dehumidifier technology is almost 200 years old. LGR or Low Grain Refrigerant technology improved the efficiency of the refrigeration system. The Ecor Pro system allows greater cooling of the air through double cooling as it travels through two cold coils or “Evaporator” coils as they are termed before being reheated with another refrigeration coil called a “Condenser”. A drying tent simply focusses the dry air to where it is needed. If a flood or leak as occurred on the floor, ceiling or wall then why do you need to dry the whole of the room? That is both wasteful of energy and takes longer. For instance a dehumidifier placed in the middle of a room has to dry all the air in the room just so the air just above the flooded surface can dry. That is where the dry air is needed so tenting is a very quick and cheap way to direct that dry air to where it is needed.
