Parents should teach their kids that they DON'T have to be polite to creeps who are harassing them. Of course be courteous and polite to strangers, but when that stranger oversteps their boundaries, SPEAK UP! And let them KNOW they're creeping you out and you will call police, or kick and scream or whatever you have to do! And follow up and tell your parents then call the cops!
Sure it is. Once you feel harassed or uncomfortable theres no reason to continue just sitting there being polite. Being rude to a stranger is worth keeping your life or a lifetime of trauma if something happens.

@@makypine4829 Ok so maybe you dont have to be "rude" but theres no reason why you cant just walk away. Unless they are physically holding you there. I'm mostly a shy person, but if I feel uncomfortable I won't just sit there. I'm sorry but if you're too afraid to potentially save your own life idk what to tell you. You can do things to make yourself more comfortable that dont include being "rude". This is why I don't take *certain* sexual harassment claims seriously. People arent mind readers, and if someone is making you uncomfortable and you continue to allow it they wont know different. And then you go and blast them as some predator later when it's not the case. Learn to stand up for yourself because the world isnt all sunshine and rainbows. With the knowledge of serial killers, rapists, violence etc in the world noone should be unprepared.
Its easy for you but not for others everyone is different. No need to argue with each other.

Do people really not know about the family leave act or worker’s compensation? Those exist just for people like in the Dallas story. You’re allowed to take three months off for family and medical issues (I’m assuming that he had been working for at least a year beforehand if he was a manager). It’s illegal to cut hours or demote someone after a return from FLA leave. Worker’s comp means that the employer is supposed to cover medical costs PLUS missed pay. It’s likely that too much time has passed to make a claim now but seriously, I can’t count the number of times people I know have been screwed over because they don’t know their legal rights as employees
All businesses can find loopholes. Plus, Texas is a will-to-work state. So the powers that be can get around anything 🤷🏽♀️ It also sounds like he worked at Walmart as well and that company pretty much does any damn thing they want to because they have money and power.

The physical therapist story. Maybe it's the rly serious reading, the same as more terrifying stories, but feels out of scale. Yeah it's creepy and invasive she knew where he lived, but she was apologetic and respected his "no" and didn't threaten or stalk him after.
She seemed so embarrassed about the whole thing and probably would be for a long time. I think she was just terribly awkward and misread signs, can't help but feel bad for her.
So do I. The physical therapist sounds as if they lived a very sheltered life, at best. He scared very easily! 😬🙄

What was with the Sarah story? Yeah, its awkward and creepy that she followed you home to try and ask you out, but its not really scary... just weird. Geeze, I have to much to drink and tell acquaintances that I have crushes on them. Its fairly embarrassing, but now I'm worried I'm terrifying people

Me too. I think he just made a super big deal with that. Sure, it is kind of unnerving that someone followed you home but after that, the girl was super awkward when trying to ask him out and then even had the graciousness of saying sorry and dropping the whole issue. It is nit like hshe went on full stalker mode on him.
most of the stories are like that, person B follows A home or does something as simple as staring, but for some reason nobody complains about it not being creepy enough when the stalker is a man and the stalked is a woman

She beat him to his house, meaning she had been waiting for him to arrive for who knows how long. He never said, but I'm guessing he never told her where he lived. I'd be creeped if someone whom I never told where my home was beat me there.
We are assuming he never told her! She saw him with her father A Lot... I'm betting it came up in conv during a therapy session in small talk. Awkward for sure...uncomfortable and odd.. But after the apologies and it never happening again, Not scary whatsoever.

I think the creepiness was from the fact that she beat him to his home, something he never disclosed the location to her. Not to mention, she beat him there, meaning she had been waiting for him to arrive. I know I'd be creeped out.

Pretty much everyone I went to school with knew exactly where I lived without me telling literally anyone, I found out where a former love interest lived without disclosure or effort, my sisters have found out where some of their friends live, etc. It just takes seeing them go home once. Either way, slightly creepy people exist. Grow up and deal with it 🤷♂️ she didn't really do anything at all
